We got married at Kippilaw this weekend and genuinely couldn’t recommend them highly enough!

From the moment we first visited, we knew there was something really special about Kippilaw. It doesn’t feel like a venue that churns weddings out — Vicky, Lil and the whole team are incredibly professional, organised and genuinely couldn’t do enough for us throughout the year of planning and on the day itself.

One of the biggest things that stood out to us was the value for money. Weddings are expensive, and Kippilaw were incredibly understanding of our budget and worked with us to make things work rather than constantly trying to upsell or add costs. Unlike other venues we viewed, where every little thing seemed to come with an additional charge, Kippilaw have a much more refreshing attitude of “we have it already, so why should you have to pay extra for it?” This made such a huge difference and allowed us to put our budget towards the things that mattered most to us.

Their flexibility and attitude were also fantastic. Nothing ever felt like a problem, and they were always willing to find a solution. They were happy for us to add our own decorations and were incredibly accommodating with all our ideas and requests. Even being able to make the indoor/outdoor decision at 10am on the morning of the wedding was a huge bonus given the unpredictability of Scottish weather!

Throughout the planning process, Vicky and the team were incredibly thorough and professional, while still being so friendly and approachable. They thought of things we hadn’t even considered and were always available when we needed them, which made the whole process so much less stressful.

On the wedding day itself, everything ran incredibly smoothly. The team were attentive and on top of everything without ever being intrusive — somehow managing to get everything done without us even noticing half of it happening!

Kippilaw itself is absolutely stunning, but it’s the people that really make it. We felt incredibly well looked after from start to finish and genuinely couldn’t have asked for a better venue or team. We feel so lucky to have got married at Kippilaw and would wholeheartedly recommend it to anyone considering it!

We looked at venues for our wedding all cross the country but nowhere suited us better than Kippilaw. A beautiful old manor house in the Scottish countryside not only for our wedding venue but also a special week for our families to stay in.
All of the staff were extremely friendly and hospitable on our wedding day as well as leading up to it. They went above and beyond, even getting our favorite beverage that they didn’t stock in for our toast!
We can’t thank them enough for making our day so perfect.

Our recent wedding at Kippilaw House in Scotland was an absolute delight that surpassed all expectations. The whole house and ground were not only beautiful but also breathtaking whilst providing an unparalleled level of comfort, ensuring our stay was nothing short of exceptional. Kippilaw is a truly stunning place, from the gorgeous veranda that leads out to jaw dropping garden where we had our drinks reception, to the beautiful old Copper beech tree next to the house that we had our ceremony underneath.

The people who own the place and the staff are remarkably hospitable, which added a personal and welcoming touch, making our entire experience truly memorable. Rachel, the manager at Kippilaw, helped us plan our special day was beyond accommodating, catering to every odd request or question we had to truly create the dream wedding we pictured and even in the end helping us save money!
The food served was absolutely unbelievable as well, far beyond any other meals we have had at other weddings we’ve attended, it reminded us of being in a top class restaurant. Kippilaw House stands out not just as a venue but as an extraordinary destination for those seeking an unforgettable celebration. We highly recommend it for anyone desiring a perfect blend of elegance, comfort, and culinary excellence. Five stars hardly capture the sheer brilliance of our experience at Kippilaw House.

We had a fabulous day at a Wedding at Kippilaw House. The house and gardens are stunning, the service fantastic and the food was excellent. The attention to detail shone through, all in all a very unique venue.

Me and my husband couldn't be more thrilled with how our wedding turned out at kippilaw! We got married last year and we still reminisce about how perfect our whole weekend was. Everything from the ceremony to the house to the food was exactly as we imagined our dream scottish wedding would be. We can't thank Lil and the team enough for their amazing hospitality and attention to detail!!

We went to the most wonderful wedding here on the 7th October 2023 and it made me wish we could get married again and come here. The quality of food and the level of attention the owners and staff gave everyone was outstanding. I cannot eat gluten and they had catered for me on every course and even on canapés so I didn’t miss out- a great place, I couldn’t rate it higher

Had our wedding here and it was absolutely fantastic. Lil and Rachel worked with us to plan an amazing experience. Thanks to the hot weather, we were able to get married outside and it was beautiful. My partner and I didn't have to worry about a thing on the day, absolutely everything was handled for us. Food was delicious with delicious options for all dietary requirements. We actually had a full vegetarian menu and it was delicious. So many options to pick from as opposed to just adding veggie options as an afterthought. The sharing pavlova also went down a treat with everyone (including those who had to have dairy free options!). We had lots of freedom and flexibility to decorate and design our day too Thanks again to all!

We couldn't have imagined a better venue than Kippilaw for our wedding in June. Perhaps more importantly than the beautiful setting, Lil was fantastically flexible and accommodating in enabling us to have the weekend that we wanted and the day that we dreamed of, whilst providing plenty of useful advice throughout the planning process.

We got married at Kippilaw House and had the best time ever. Rachel was the best, she was super helpful the whole time and made us feel very comfortable. We didn’t feel any pressure to do anything we didn’t want to as we skipped a lot of traditional things that didn’t match with who we are.
They were amazing at changing the menu for some of the guest with allergies. The food was lovely and everybody enjoyed it. It was really nice to stay overnight with our friends and family, it made our wedding really special.

If you want a special place for your wedding ceremony we HIGHLY recommend the ancient tree. It was magical.

We attended a wedding at Kippilaw House on 10th June. We absolutely loved the venue and the staff were so lovely and helpful, the food was absolutely delicious and we loved the house and grounds. We would love to come here again and have already recommended to friends getting married in 2024.

We had the best time at the wedding at Kippielaw - the house and gardens are gorgeous, the food and service are tip top. It’s relaxed , glamorous and highly recommended. Wish we could do it all again !

I’ve been to a lot of June weddings over the years but this was far the best and most memorable. The house, garden and grounds were stunningly romantic. The staff were thoughtful and efficient. The food was sensational. It was like all your mother’s best cooking, honed over years, that made you feel instantly loved. I don’t know how the chef achieved this. The booze selection was exquisite.

100% recommend if you love food and a wedding that is flexible to you. If you want it the owners will try and do it. Perfect place if you love a vintage, quirky surrounding and a place that you and your guests will remember.
