Castle Wedding Venues in Scotland

We got married in May 2026 in the stunning location of Carrick Castle, overlooking Loch Goil and the surrounding beautiful hills - it was such a magical setting and was exactly what we had pictured for our outdoor wedding ceremony! Emma was an incredible help in the run-up and on the day of our wedding. She was so approachable and flexible when helping us with final planning aspects and on the day made sure that all of our suppliers were organised and that everything ran smoothly. We are so glad we enlisted Emma's help with our wedding as it meant that we could concentrate on the meaningful parts of the day and making memories with friends and family!

We had such an amazing day without any hiccups it all went so smoothly thanks to the amazing staff that we cannot fault and all our guests, family and friends are saying the same thing. With exceptional food and service which made it perfect and we loved and enjoyed every minute spent there. Would highly recommend this venue as an out of this world experience and never to be forgotten !!

We decided to get married at the barony castle as soon as we laid eyes on it. Immediately fell in love with the venue (so did hubby). We met Hannah the wedding coordinator and that was it we had booked the date. Hannah was amazing she was helpful, full of ideas that could help budget wise and also supportive. Nothing was too much trouble and that goes for all the staff. They were kind funny and accommodating. Everything ran smoothly and couldn’t fault it. If you’re thinking of getting married here I definitely would recommend it.

For over a year now, Dundas Castle has become almost like a second home for us. In may 2025 we were in Scotland visiting potential wedding venues, and the second we walked through the gates at Dundas, we knew we had found our place. There is a kind of magical aura to that place that i will never quite be able to put into words. But beyond the beauty of the venue, there is this incredible team of people that went above and beyond to insure our wedding was as unique and special as we had imagined it. And somehow, despite everything they do, they made us feel as though we were the only couple in the world. Every member of that team that helped us plan our 4 day event will forever have their special place in our hearts. Their kindness, warmth and genuine desire to help bring dreams to life is unmatched. Even though they already know how deeply grateful we are, we will never miss an opportunity to say it again. So, to Louise, Jill, Ellice, and every single member of the Dundas family—thank you from the bottom of our hearts. You gave us some of the happiest memories of our lives, and we will never, ever forget you. Our wedding at Blair Castle on 20th July 2024 was absolutely amazing! The team were brilliant from start to finish. Karen was really helpful and responsive throughout and Lesley who coordinated on the day was amazing, you could tell she really cared about making our day special and it really was! The location is amazing and we also loved the lodges that we and some of our guests stayed in, which were on the estate. Everything went so smoothly and all our guests had a great time. I would highly recommend Bliar Castle as a place to have your wedding!

My husband and I booked a 3 night stay at the castle as part of our anniversary vacation. With the help of Sandy, I was able to plan a surprise vow renewal ceremony for my husband as well. Though it was just the 2 of us for a small private ceremony, it was truly magical! The location is like something out of fairytale. You will feel like the laird and lady of the castle. It is an enchanting medieval castle with modern amenities. It’s the perfect location for a destination wedding or even a small ceremony like my husband and I. The staff at the castle are so kind and helpful. They will help make your wedding day the most incredible and unforgettable experience. I highly recommend Neidpath Castle!

We couldn’t be more grateful for the incredible experience we had at Duns Castle this past November. Our wedding ran flawlessly from start to finish, and both we and our guests had an unforgettable time -- memories we’ll carry with us forever. We chose this venue because it allowed us to select our own suppliers, and comfortably accommodate our 24 guests for four days, three nights. Andrea, the estate administrator, was able to provide suggestions and guidance throughout the planning process and was wonderful with communicating the final itinerary with our vendors so everything was seamless once we arrived. In addition to the activities we hosted at the estate (a private whisky tasting, and mini highland games on the lawn), our guests enjoyed roaming the grounds, hiking to Duns Law, and taking snowy strolls into town to visit the local restaurants and shops. If you’re looking for a venue that combines beautiful surroundings with outstanding service, and the flexibility to create a truly bespoke wedding experience, this is the place. Our time at Duns Castle was exceptional in every way, and we would recommend it wholeheartedly to any couple planning their wedding.

From day one at Dunvegan, Ro (Events Manager) was incredible. She was pleasant, professional and nothing was too much for her to organise. She took the time to show us round and as we are from out of area made sure that her responsiveness was quick both over email or by phone. Dunvegan Castle was picturesque and our photos were perfect. Everyone had a great time and the service was exceptional.

Achnagairn was simply the best possible location we could ever hope for. It’s a fairytale location and has the perfect combination of being modern while remaining that Scottish history and authenticity. Everything is thought of and our weekend was absolutely amazing and well thought out. We had the time of our lives and it will forever hold a special place in our hearts.
