Welcome to Muckrach Country House, an exclusive-use use Wedding venue nestled in the heart of the Cairngorms National Park. Muckrach is a beautifully restored Victorian country house offering an elegant and intimate setting for unforgettable Highland weddings.
Originally built in 1861, the house blends historic character with contemporary luxury, surrounded by ten acres of beautiful grounds and spectacular Highland scenery.
Our wedding offerings are designed as complete, exclusive-use experiences, bringing together the venue, two nights’ accommodation, wedding breakfast and key food and drink elements in one thoughtfully designed package. With eleven individually styled bedrooms sleeping up to 22 guests, Muckrach is perfect for couples looking to celebrate with their closest family and friends over a memorable wedding weekend. Additional accommodation is available in our luxury estate lodges.
Our experienced team works closely with every couple to create a celebration that feels personal, with optional enhancements including additional dining, drinks packages and trusted local suppliers.

We came to view Muckrach around a year and a half ago and knew straight away it was exactly what we wanted for your wedding.
Fast forward to August 2025 we couldn’t have been happier with how our day and weekend went. We had the house and the lodges for a few days. All of our guests and suppliers were amazed with the venue.
We absolutely loved having our wedding celebrations here and couldn’t have done it without the incredible help of the team and flexibility we were given. Donnie was incredible and made everything seem completely hassle free.
If anyone is considering this as their venue we would highly recommend it! We can’t wait to hopefully come back one day.
