The Barony Castle Hotel Peebles is licensed to host civil, religious and humanist ceremonies and has a range of unique spaces for each stage of your wedding day. The Courtyard and The Woodland Altar provide magical settings for outdoor ceremonies, drinks receptions and refreshing cocktails. In contrast, The Elibank Suite is a modern space with floor-to-ceiling windows and offers a blank canvas for your favourite colour scheme. If you desire more space, the grand Meldons Suite has a refurbished ballroom, adding that elegant fairy-tale touch.

Barony is underrated and worth a visit
When looking for wedding venues with forestry, sadly Scotland is lacking. Thankfully we have Barony Castle Hotel. The woodland alter was absolutely stunning and sold us right away. Our day had over 100 guests and Barony handled this with grace and ease. We had a lot of requests and the staff were happy to oblige or help us to achieve our dream day. Hannah the wedding coordinator was incredible at managing the bookings and details of our day, we couldn’t have done it without her. Another I’d like to mention is Sarah, she was really brilliant on the day and helped where Hannah was elsewhere. Even our guests commented on how great the hotel we’re at handling our big family.
Our day was so so special and very unique compared to so many other weddings I see online. I cannot thank or recommend Barony and their staff enough.
Some advice to future couples:
Firstly, for peak autumn, go for the second last Saturday in October. The leaves are gorgeous if storms hold off.
Make sure you get a photographer with a drone as their map of Scotland is stunning, some friends thought our photos were AI the grounds looked so good. And lastly, enjoy your day! Barony know what they’re doing

Absolutely Fantastic
From initial booking to even the days after Barony Castle were absolutely brilliant, the packages they offer take all of the stress our of wedding planning with their excellent experienced suppliers just getting in touch with you directly.
Rooms were lovely, facilities at the hotel were great and the wedding coordinator there is exceptional, nothing is too big or too small and they are well practised with weddings, can't reccomend booking with them enough.

The best day ever!!!
We had our amazing wedding day here. I can highly recommend having your wedding day here. Staff were amazing and very accommodating and helpful they went above and beyond for us. The grounds are simply stunning and very picturesque. The food was also amazing and very good portion sizes none left hungry that's for sure. If I could I would do it all again here.

We couldn’t be happier with our decision to have our wedding at Barony Castle Hotel! The venue itself is nothing short of stunning - an idyllic setting, perfect for our autumn wedding - and the exceptional service we received made our special day truly unforgettable.
Hannah played an integral role, guiding us through the entire planning process with meticulous attention to detail. On the day, her expertise ensured everything ran seamlessly, and her support was invaluable. When James took over in the evening, the transition was flawless, and we knew we were in the best hands. The entire team’s professionalism and dedication allowed us to relax and fully immerse ourselves in every moment of our special day.
The culinary experience was equally exceptional. The chef crafted three delicious menus, including an evening buffet for the guests who arrived the night before the wedding. He also took the time to personally meet with us during the tasting to discuss our dietary needs. Each dish was outstanding!

Best wedding day ever
We chose barony castle as we had our first date there and got engaged there. So it made sense to also get married in such a beautiful venue. Hannah our wedding coordinator was absolutely amazing and put us at ease on the run up to our wedding and on the day. The day went to plan and we had the best day ever!

One of the best days of our lives
We chose the Barony because of the beautiful location, the friendly staff we met on that first day when reviewing possible wedding venues, the stunning grounds, the amazing wedding room along with the main function room. It provided us with the perfect Scottish wedding, that myself and my Portuguese wife were so keen to share with all our friends and family. Having such a well organised dedicated wedding planner like Hannah, took so much stress away from us. The wedding day went without a hitch, and we’ll remember it forever. Thank you Hannah, the Chef, and all the staff at The Barony. You all helped to make this our perfect Wedding day

Perfect from start to finish…
The venue is beautiful, and for those who have never been, the first view of the hotel when you drive up is stunning. The team and their suppliers are some of the nicest, most helpful people you could meet and our guests thoughts it was possibly the best wedding they had ever attended.

Thank you barony castle for the best day
We had our wedding at barony castle on 26th of July 2024 at barony castle and they were absolutely amazing from booking to planning and on the day we could not have asked for me Hannah was a star and helped us anyway way she could and our guests where amazed with the venue and with the food.

The Wedding of our dreams
We got married at Barony Castle on 4th July 2024 and it was the best day of our lives! Not even the fact that the weather wasn’t great therefore, we couldn’t get married at the outdoor alter dampened our spirits. We had a wedding party of 50 and the Elibank Suite was perfect and a beautiful room. The food was delicious and the staff were exceptional. Nothing was too much bother. Our wedding planners Hannah & Katie were fairy godmothers and made it a truly magical day. The package we chose includes an overnight stay for our 1st Anniversary and we cannot wait to go back.

Most magical day!
I would 100% recommend Barony Castle for your special day! They have everything you need to make your day as special as possible. The packages to choose from make it so easy to see exactly what’s included, so you know what you’re getting.
We loved that a stay the night before the wedding was inlcuded and both me and my husband had separate suite rooms. This made it a much more relaxing experience as we all got ready at the venue and didn’t have to worry about getting to the venue.
The bridal suite is such a lovely room, and has so much space for you and all your bridesmaids to get ready in!
Hannah the wedding coordinator is just amazing! She made the whole process a breeze. She really takes the time to go through the run of the day and happy to add more/adjust or take away things you have changed your mind on, and makes sure you are happy with it all. Hannah was happy to have numerous meetings with us and she responded to all my queries very quickly. Even on the day, she is checking to see if everything is running smoothly and checking on myself to see how I was. It was such a pleasure to have Hannah help us plan our wedding.
The whole day ran so smoothly, all the staff at the Barony are friendly and so professional. My family are still going on about what a wonderful day it was.

Fantastic Experience
Callum and I got married at Barony Castle Hotel on the 24th of May 2024.
We cannot fault the team at Barony who worked so hard to make our day as special as possible.
Despite the weather not being great and not managing to have the outdoor wedding we had initially planned, Hannah made sure we still had the most magical day indoors.
All the staff were extremely kind and well-organised. They definitely helped make our day as special as possible.
The food we had was amazing. We highly recommend the Thai Style Noodle Box for the evening buffet.
The kitchen was very accommodating of allergies and requirements. Both my husband and I are vegetarian. They went out of their way to accommodate us and allowed us to have two vegetarian options on our menu.
All of our guests were extremely happy with their rooms. Callum and I were extremely happy with our suites. 😍
We highly recommend Barony as a wedding venue or even somewhere to stop and have some lunch.
We are really looking forward to our one-year anniversary and having the pleasure of celebrating this at Barony.
