Where do we start! Our wedding day was flawless from start to finish. Everyone at the Garfield works so hard to make sure the day runs smoothly. Louize – We can’t thank you enough for making sure everything that we had asked for happened on our day, The number of e-mails back and forward was always answered, and nothing was ever too much, your time and experience is so valuable to couples who are getting married. I don’t know how you do it keeping up with all the different couples and organising all the fine details I was glad to have that part over with, but you thrive with co-ordinating all the different parts of a wedding ceremony and reception to make it special and personal to the couple. Glen – Thank you for co-ordinating our whole day from making sure the ceremony went smoothly right up until the last song. You were always available to help. You went above and beyond on our day. The canapes were delicious and there were loads of trays, the drinks were flowing and you even helped one of the bridesmaids who managed to get a small stain on their dress. The meal was delicious all our guests thought they were treated like royalty and was such a lovely atmosphere too. Peter especially would like to thank you for being the coolest man in the hotel and you would just pop up randomly by his side asking if everything was ok, do you need anything, and then vanish just as quick and away to help someone else. Thank you to Junior for being there to make sure we were happy with the set up for the reception, and making sure all our guests that stayed over had enjoyed their stay before they left to go home. Lisa – Thank you so much for Friday night, making sure the room looked beautiful, and we could use our own playlist for during the meal, I think the kids enjoyed that a bit much! All the staff on the Friday night were attentive and everyone enjoyed their meal. Then Saturday you were there again to make sure everything looked beautiful, and we were happy. Also, on the Sunday just chatting away, I can tell how much you love working at the Garfield. The Bar staff on the Sunday were so kind mentioning about how great the wedding went and how much they loved the DJ (the dancefloor was never empty) Thank you to Oonagh and Angie for sorting out all our rooms and making sure Peters parents’ room was what we asked for as they struggle to walk very far, you took the time to listen and everyone loved their room. The wedding package that they offer is really good. The cake, the piper, all the little extras. Honestly, the amount of praise from all our guests is fantastic and it was the best day because of all your dedication and hard work.

We attended our daughters wedding at 1 Devonshire Gardens yesterday. We were treated like royalty and nothing was a bother to the staff who were polite and attentive throughout the day. The ceremony was planned to perfection and the decor of the rooms was beautiful. The meal was fantastic and the service was excellent. We have nothing but praise for the staff who made the day so enjoyable and stress free. Thanks once again for giving our girl her perfect wedding. Highly recommend.

The biggest THANK YOU to the full team at BAaD! Their professionalism, attention to detail, kindness and hospitality made our wedding day the most perfect and stress free day there could be. Jess, Scott and the full team went above and beyond for all our family and friends ❤️ We loved the blank canvas of BAaD and how we were able to transform it into our dream setting! The drinks, food and overall atmosphere were just perfection! I would recommend BAaD as venue to everyone!

Fantastic venue, fantastic food, fantastic service from beginning to end . The wedding package was good value . Heather from the Entertainment’s team was so helpful and nothing was too much for her . Everything ran like clockwork on the day and I would definitely recommend Number 10 for wedding or any other social occasion . We had 50 day guests and 50 more evening guests and the venue was the perfect size for us.

We had the most incredible wedding breakfast and evening celebration at the Clayton Hotel. Kate and the team went above and beyond to make our day perfect. From start to finish, Kate guided us through every option, ensuring everything was just as we imagined. She fulfilled every requirement we requested. We had the opportunity to attend a menu tasting before our wedding day, which was a wonderful added touch. Kate stayed in touch throughout the lead up to the wedding, ensuring everything ran smoothly and stress free for us as the big day approached. Upon arrival, we were made to feel so welcome at the hotel, and the thoughtful added touches were greatly appreciated. We were also fortunate to set up the ballroom the day before our wedding, which allowed us to feel relaxed and stress free on the morning of the big day. Our guests couldn’t stop raving about how seamlessly the day ran, the friendliness of all the staff and the outstanding quality of the food. I would highly recommend considering this venue for your wedding. Thank you for making our day truly special.

Cornhill honestly couldn’t have done more for us on our big day - I was SO stress free due to their amazing team who know what they’re doing inside and out, so friendly and so professional, didn’t even need to ask them for anything because they’d already done it! Stunning venue and perfect for any size wedding anytime of the year. So happy we chose Cornhill Castle for our venue. 5 stars all day every day.

We came to The Cruin for an open day and instantly fell in love. From the start Rebecca, David and the team were fantastic and very amenable to all our endless questions! Any request was listened to and ultimately delivered brilliantly on the day. Nothing was too much trouble. Even though it rained nearly all day, the team made sure everything was to our vision and ran smoothly. All our guests have said what a stunning venue it is and how amazing the food was. We’re so glad we picked The Cruin and we can’t thank you all enough for the most beautiful wedding day. It was everything we wanted and more.

The venue is absolutely gorgeous, and has so much beautiful decorations itself but still allows enough space to add your own touch. The staff are fantastic and will accommodate in any way they can. They are completely open minded to any ideas you have for your wedding. Any questions I had were answered straight away, The Venus has 11 rooms for your guests which must be filled for the night if your wedding. The rooms are stunning and very spacious. The grounds are stunning and there is the most beautiful bandstand which has fairy lights for evening photos.

Dockyard Social is one of our favourite places to go with our wee dog Mac. Street food and cocktails – what more can you ask for? When Dockyard Social announced they were starting to do Weddings – we immediately thought this would be a cool place and we essentially have a blank canvas to put our own style and ideas into it. Dockyard Social is a large industrial warehouse with graffiti art and just all-round good vibes with a focus on supporting their local community. Kyle and Scott who run DY have also become friends over the last few years so it was exciting to work on a vision together as it was their first wedding in the venue. We knew we wanted to have a wedding that had good food, good music, and a cool atmosphere. We also wanted a wedding that was detail orientated and didn’t feel like a carbon copy of other weddings you would attend. This was really important to us and DY really supported this. With the venue being so industrial and big we really wanted to add a feminine touch to the venue with pretty flowers and décor. The contrast of the two coming together really made all the details stand out and they surprisingly complimented each other very well. Lots of disco balls, lots of flowers and lots of fairy lights – perfect! We had a video playing on two large projector screens provided by DY throughout the day. It was photos and videos of us from over the years. It also had the timeline of the day and other info for our guests on it. For our wedding toast we had a signature drink inspired by our dog Mac, we called this the ‘Macquiri’. Each cocktail had a drink topper with a photo of us on it saying, ‘drunk in love’. We also gave each guest drink tokens so they could choose their own drinks rather than the usual wine/prosecco (that always gets wasted). The attention to detail by DY was superb! They really supported the vision we had. We didn’t want to do a standard 3 course meal, this can sometimes take hours and people don’t have much choice and there's always a lot of waste. We had 3 different food stalls from DY and each guest was able to select 2 meals from either one of the food stalls. It was served seated and plated so still had an element of tradition as well as a more laid-back vibe. We had a selection of Thai and Greek food as well as pizzas! All of our guests said it was the best wedding food they had! In the evening, we had chicken nuggets, chips & curry sauce and pakora and wedding cake served canape style. All the guests loved it! For entertainment - We had all of our guests request a song as part of their RSVPing. So, we were able to combine this during the cocktail and meal music playlists as part of our reception music. We had everyone on the dancefloor from the get-go. We also had a Dj and a saxophonist who did an Ibiza power hour which kept the party vibes going. We had a live painter who took pictures of each guest/couples and created a watercolour painting of them to take away at the end of the evening. Our guests also made great use of the DY photobooth and were able to take photos away with them as well as copies for us to keep for our guestbook. We highly recommend Dockyard Social for your wedding if you're looking for something unique that you can put your own personality into. The team are amazing and really support ideas and bringing your vision alive. It's also a cool and quirky venue that you and your guests can continue to go back to and experience all over again.
