We chose this place mainly due to our family connection here, but it was also the most affordable option for us as we were already planning on a very small wedding with a separate venue for our reception near our home. Our theme was of course nature based with lots of greens that fit perfectly into the environment. To make it truly on theme I made my own flower crown, braided our own handfasting ribbon and assembled a box for rings full of dried moss. It just so happened that the weather on our date was absolutely fantastic - sunny and warm at the end of September (our photographer had an issue with his camera heating up, never had that happen in Scotland before). So the whole day was absolutely magical with sunshine, blooming heather and no wind. Our coordinator from Mar Lodge was Sophie, who did a great job helping us to the location and giving us enough space for the ceremony. She organized a transport in a buggy for two elderly guests who wouldn't have been able to walk up to the ceremony spot. Everyone else made their way up an easy trail from a nearby car park. There were signs posted near the trails asking visitors to be mindful of the ceremony. What we didn't expect though, was that in addition to the walking trails, there should have been signs in the river, too! We had a funny instance of a diver coming all the way down and ending up next to our ceremony in a full wetsuit. We were both quite stunned when we spotted each other, but thankfully the diver made a quiet exit back up the river with no disruptions. Our ceremony happened just in time for the renovated Victoria picnic lodge to be available as a back up location in case of bad weather (which of course we ended up not needing). But it made for some amazing photography shots. Truly amazing location and great communication with the venue! We both can't recommend it enough.

We had Julie and amiee to book and plan the wedding but on the wedding day itself we had Jordan and he was absolutely amazing and we could not fault a thing with him he was so professional and everything was done as we asked and nothing to too much for him to do, we highly recommend The Norwood Hall me and my husband had an amazing day.

What can I say apart from wow. This venue was completely perfect and made our day incredible. We had Gillian help with the planning and the organisation and we could trust that everything would run smoothly thanks to her hardwork and dedication. Stef and Tim (the owners) are some of the nicest people you will ever meet. To have the venue for a couple of days was great as my family who had to travel from Somerset to attend for to relax the next day after the wedding, which made everything even more special. The amount of accommodation included was great as hardly anyone had to worry about organising taxis and it really helped my friends with young children as they could have a middle of the day nap before the evening got underway. The whole day was perfect, we couldn't recommend Logie highly enough, when can we come back for a vow renewal? 🤣 They also have onsite highland cows you can have wedding photos taken with ☺️

Molly Gray our events manager did an exceptional job of organising our wedding. From start to finish nothing was an issue and the whole day went like clockwork. Molly made the experience hassle free, with great communication through out the planning process and the whole team on the day were excellent. Everyone commented on how amazing the venue was and the staff were fantastic. I can’t thank everyone enough for making our wedding day so special and stress free.

Stuart Rattray and his team at Glen Tanar estate made our wedding the most unforgettable and perfect day we’ve ever had. Thanks to the team there, everything was seamless and during the entire planning process, nothing was too much to ask and Stuart found a way of making our dream come to life. We chose to get married at the absolutely beautiful Chapel of St Lesmo within the estate, a short walk away from the ballroom where we had our reception. My family stayed in the onsite cottages which were warm, welcoming and comfortable. My husband and I stayed in the unique ‘Tower-O-Ess’ honeymoon suite which we fell in love with and plan to return to as often as we can. All our guests commented on what a stunning venue we had chosen for our special day and Stuart and the team made sure that we loved every minute of it! My partner & I recently celebrated our big day at Cluny Castle - from start to finish everything was just perfect! Prepare for some unbelievable photographs with this gorgeous venue! From the castle itself, to the beautiful chapel it really is something special! Natalie was an amazing wedding co-ordinator who kept in touch throughout the planning process & kept everything running smoothly over the wedding weekend. We were also given a butler, Steven, who done a fantastic job over the course of the weekend without feeling like anyone was lingering. All in all, we couldn’t recommend Cluny Castle more - we really wish we could live the whole weekend all over again. Love, The Donalds x

Ardoe proved to be the perfect venue and location for our wedding. We got lucky with the weather as it turned out to be the sunniest day of the year, but everything else went so well due to the professionalism and patience of the staff. Ours was a Scottish/Nigerian event, and they accommodated all the different cultural requests concerning our food and entertainment. This understanding, the Sunday discount, and the high standard of service throughout made it an epic day. Thank you Ardoe!

I can’t say enough good things about our wedding experience at Raemoir. We were married the 6th of August, and had the most special time. From my very first correspondence with Raemoir, they were prompt, organized, and professional. This type of communication continued throughout the whole relationship. The transparency of the costs and what was included from the very beginning, as well as the location of the venue itself made it an easy pick to put down our deposit not long after getting engaged. Neil (the owner) was always there to help out via email and Julie Love (the wedding coordinator) made planning an overseas wedding a breeze. Her decades of experience in the local wedding industry was invaluable. Although my husband grew up in the area, we planned the event from our home-base in Canada. Julie easily worked with the time difference and helped out wherever she could since we weren’t nearby. I loved getting to know her! The two nights at Raemoir were truly a dream. To be surrounded by all your closest family and friends in one estate, to be so warmly welcomed by the owners and staff, and get to celebrate love all together…that’s a once-in-a-lifetime experience that is so incredibly worth it. I only wished it could have lasted longer! The food was delicious, our long list of dietaries were thoughtfully catered to, and the rooms were so comfortable. Reena was so on top of the whole weekend and there at my elbow anytime I needed her—including helping to feed the busy bride in between socializing! Neil’s wife Julie and their daughter Emily were so attentive and thoughtful. Their two chocolate labs, Harry and Hunter, were the perfect addition to the party and all the guests loved them! From the first time we saw the pictures of the Woodland Cathedral we knew we wanted to be married there, and we were rewarded with the most beautiful sunny day to do so. That being said, the atmosphere of the Oval Room is so gorgeous and historical, it would have made just as special of a place to have the ceremony. So many of our guests reiterated that it was the best wedding they had ever attended. There is not a question in my mind that we made the best decision by having our wedding at Raemoir House! I wish I could live it all over again. If you are considering them for your wedding or event, book it now.
