A perfect wedding venue
We had our big day at Norton House on 5th July 2025. Everything was absolutely perfect. From the organisation, to the staff, the food, and the operations over the weekend it was everything we ever dreamed of and more. Our Operations Manager on the day, Jillian, was fantastic and everything went exactly as planned, exactly as we wanted it. The guests raved about the staff, venue and food and our day was honestly perfect.
The venue was able to be flexible with what we wanted, we even made up our own meal for the wedding breakfast which wasn’t a problem. Our Coordinator, Laura, was friendly, helpful, professional and nothing was ever too much for her.
It’s the small things that make such a difference, from being given a highland cow to keep, to reserving a large area at breakfast for all our guests that stayed over on the Sunday, honestly it was incredible and we feel so lucky to have been able to have our big day at Norton House.
If you are considering booking this venue for your wedding, do it!! Because I promise you won’t regret it.

The best venue for the best day!
The whole experience was flawless. The food was outstanding (we’re still getting compliments from our guests!), and the attention to detail in every part of the day was spot on. The staff couldn’t have done more for us, and a special shout-out has to go to Jillian and Jen—nothing was too much trouble for them. Their calm, organised approach made the whole process feel so much easier and more personal.
We truly couldn’t have asked for a better venue or a better team. Norton House will always have a special place in our hearts.

A huge heartfelt thank you goes to the wonderful Jen, who guided us through every step of the planning process with such warmth and efficiency. Her prompt replies and calming presence made everything feel so easy and stress-free. We felt completely looked after from day one.
An equally massive thank you to David, the manager on our big day—his support and attention to detail were second to none. He made sure everything ran flawlessly, and honestly, the day wouldn’t have been the same without him.
The entire team on the day made us feel like absolute royalty. Every guest commented on how incredible the service was, and it just made the day even more special.
We cannot recommend Norton House Hotel highly enough to anyone looking to get married in Edinburgh—it was everything we dreamed of and more. We’d do it all over again in a heartbeat! We’re already looking forward to coming back to celebrate our anniversaries in the years to come.

Amazing from start to finish! 2025
We had the usher suite which was great if you had kids attending as they could run outside next to the swing which is gorgeous for photos!
The team go through your wedding day plan with you twice before wedding to make sure everything is ok which takes pressure off you on the day as they do everything for you. I expected to pay extra for the service we got!
Whole experience felt luxury but good for value for money especially in 2025 Definitely recommend visiting if looking for venues. I guarantee you won’t be disappointed!
The Perfect Weekend
The best day ever!!
Thankfully Jen was just finishing with another couple and had time before another meeting to show us around the hotel and grounds! Once leaving we had that giddy excitement of this is THE ONE!!
We booked not long after our first viewing and I have to say Jen was exceptional in communication from start to end! And the week of and on the day we had the lovely Wiki who made sure our day ran smoothly and was perfect from start to end!
We can’t thank the whole team at Norton house enough for an amazing day every tiny detail didn’t go unnoticed 🤍🤍🤍
