Melville Castle was the perfect wedding venue! The staff went above and beyond with their kindness and attentiveness, ensuring everything ran smoothly on our special day. The food was delicious and beautifully presented, leaving our guests raving about it. The castle’s stunning location and charming atmosphere created a magical backdrop for our celebration. From start to finish, the experience was exceptional. We couldn’t have asked for a better place to say “I do”!

Thank you very much for helping organise what was probably the best day of my life. I absolutely LOVED every second of my wedding so thank you very much for all your help in the organization and on the day itself. We have received some lovely thank you letters from the guests who all mentioned what a superb setting it was, how lovely it all looked, how delicious the food was and how smoothly it all ran. I am so happy we chose to get married at Wedderburn.

My husband and I were married at Thirlestane Castle this past June. We first discovered Thirlestane Castle online and instantly contacted them to see what it would entail for an international couple to be married there. I quickly heard back from Rhona and worked with her over the months to create the best wedding day and venue we could have imagined. We stayed in the Lauderdale Apartment at the castle for our wedding and it was an exceptional place for us to get ready at, and enjoy our time after our wedding. Rhona made our day so easy and smooth and took care of absolutely everything. I highly recommend Thirlestane Castle for your wedding day to be absolutely perfect!

We had our wedding at Dundas Castle and cannot recommend it highly enough. The entire experience was exceptional, thanks to the wonderful team, especially Ellice and Aileen. Before the wedding, Aileen, the events manager, walked us through the whole itinerary. She made sure we felt completely comfortable with every detail. On the day, Ellice was truly outstanding. She kept everything running seamlessly, anticipated what we needed, and appeared exactly when we needed her. From running up and down the Auld Keep steps trying to find my makeup top-up kit, to rescuing my veil from our photographer’s hat, to guiding us to every important moment she made the day feel effortless! I didn’t look at my phone once because I knew she had everything in hand. She coordinated our vendors beautifully and ensured all our guests were well looked after. We stayed at Dundas for two days, which made the celebration feel so relaxed and special. The value for what we spent was excellent we had looked at several castle venues near Edinburgh and were able to enjoy two full days at Dundas for the cost of just one day at other venues we considered, without compromising on quality. Another huge benefit was their incredible relationships with vendors. Many of our, including the falconry and whiskey tasting through Maximillion Events and performers from Deadly Acts Theatre, already knew the space well, which made everything run even more smoothly. The castle itself is magical, and you can decorate it up just as you envision it, for us that was gothic and romantic and it was perfect. The rooms were incredibly comfortable, and our families felt completely at home. Our guests also loved the warm hospitality from the entire Dundas team everyone was so friendly and attentive. And of course, the friendly alpaca and the sweet castle doggos were such a charming bonus and a delight for our guests. We’re so grateful to Dundas Castle, Aileen, Ellice, and the whole team for giving us a wedding we will cherish forever. If you’re considering this venue, we wholeheartedly recommend it.

Wow where do I even start?! We had our big day at Norton House on 5th July 2025. Everything was absolutely perfect. From the organisation, to the staff, the food, and the operations over the weekend it was everything we ever dreamed of and more. Our Operations Manager on the day, Jillian, was fantastic and everything went exactly as planned, exactly as we wanted it. The guests raved about the staff, venue and food and our day was honestly perfect. The venue was able to be flexible with what we wanted, we even made up our own meal for the wedding breakfast which wasn’t a problem. Our Coordinator, Laura, was friendly, helpful, professional and nothing was ever too much for her. It’s the small things that make such a difference, from being given a highland cow to keep, to reserving a large area at breakfast for all our guests that stayed over on the Sunday, honestly it was incredible and we feel so lucky to have been able to have our big day at Norton House. If you are considering booking this venue for your wedding, do it!! Because I promise you won’t regret it.

We couldn’t be more grateful for the incredible experience we had at Duns Castle this past November. Our wedding ran flawlessly from start to finish, and both we and our guests had an unforgettable time -- memories we’ll carry with us forever. We chose this venue because it allowed us to select our own suppliers, and comfortably accommodate our 24 guests for four days, three nights. Andrea, the estate administrator, was able to provide suggestions and guidance throughout the planning process and was wonderful with communicating the final itinerary with our vendors so everything was seamless once we arrived. In addition to the activities we hosted at the estate (a private whisky tasting, and mini highland games on the lawn), our guests enjoyed roaming the grounds, hiking to Duns Law, and taking snowy strolls into town to visit the local restaurants and shops. If you’re looking for a venue that combines beautiful surroundings with outstanding service, and the flexibility to create a truly bespoke wedding experience, this is the place. Our time at Duns Castle was exceptional in every way, and we would recommend it wholeheartedly to any couple planning their wedding.

They Catred from the most amazing day. A wonderful Venue with alll the ammenities but most important was the outstanding quality of service given. We had a wedding with no problems or drama, just the most amazing day thanks to the wedding team at the Dalmahoy, they helped plan all events and details to a personal yet professional level. Value wise the wedding package was great however the rooms at the hotel were pricey if booked directly. That being said the hotel rooms and wedding suite were spotless. Catering here was outstanding and the function rooms for the wedding were perfect for our special day. The dalmahoy simply put is the best place to get Married in Edinburgh.

We don’t even know where to start in being able to thank the whole team at Hopetoun House in being a part of our most amazing wedding on Saturday! From the very first time we visited and were wowed driving up to the house, our whole experience of the venue and the people has been first class!! Working with Clare, Angela, Donald, Piers and the Hopetoun and Heritage teams has been professional, yet so very personal and we can not thank you all enough! Everything on our most special day ran like clockwork and the teams worked so hard to make sure ourselves and all of our guests had the best day ever! Hopetoun House as our wedding venue brought history, beauty, and the wow factor all together and combining these with the impeccable staff and service, gave us a wedding day that neither ourselves or our guests will ever forget! We had the most wonderful wedding day at RCPE in November 2025. Our guests were absolutely blown away by the venue, so many people commented on how unique and beautiful it was, and several said it was a day they’ll always remember. The entire events team was incredibly accommodating and helpful from start to finish. Everything felt effortless thanks to their support, and we’re so grateful for how smoothly the whole day ran. Thank you to Hannah and the RCPE Events Team for giving us such a fantastic experience. We couldn’t have wished for a better venue for our wedding!
