We hosted our wedding reception for just under 100 people at The Register Club, after having our small dinner downstairs at Hawksmoor. We couldn't be happier with everything about the evening. The staff were delightful from the first time we visited the space until the morning after the wedding, and worked with us confirming every detail. We felt in such safe hands and were also surprised at how doable the space was for our budget. It felt so luxurious and everything went so smoothly.

Thank you very much for helping organise what was probably the best day of my life. I absolutely LOVED every second of my wedding so thank you very much for all your help in the organization and on the day itself. We have received some lovely thank you letters from the guests who all mentioned what a superb setting it was, how lovely it all looked, how delicious the food was and how smoothly it all ran. I am so happy we chose to get married at Wedderburn.

ur wedding at Thirlestane Castle was intimate, meaningful, and more special than we could have imagined. With only my brother, sister-in-law, and our two nieces present, the day felt deeply personal — as though the castle itself stood as quiet witness to our vows. We first discovered the castle during my ancestry journey while tracing my maternal lineage to the Maitland/Lauderdale family. Learning that our marriage would begin in a place so closely tied to my heritage felt profoundly symbolic. Standing on those historic grounds stirred something far deeper than admiration — it felt like stepping into a living story centuries in the making and honoring it in our own way. The grandeur of the castle is breathtaking, and its sense of history unmistakable. As a private family home with such a distinguished and carefully preserved legacy, there is something especially meaningful about celebrating a new chapter of that extended story within its walls. We were deeply aware of the generations who have shaped its halls and grateful for the opportunity to mark our beginning in a place that so clearly values tradition and continuity. While the setting itself is extraordinary, the people who care for it are what made our experience truly memorable. Monica, Barry, Mrs. Anne, Courtney, and Mr. Eugene welcomed us with warmth, professionalism, and a genuine sense of pride in the castle and its history. Their thoughtful attention ensured that every detail of our small ceremony felt seamless and meaningful. For us, it was not simply about the setting — it was about belonging to the narrative in our own quiet, modern way. In a space defined by heritage, our intimate ceremony felt both humbling and significant. Our time at Thirlestane Castle was not merely an event; it was a deeply personal moment woven into a long and storied history. It will forever hold a sacred place in our hearts.

We had such an amazing day without any hiccups it all went so smoothly thanks to the amazing staff that we cannot fault and all our guests, family and friends are saying the same thing. With exceptional food and service which made it perfect and we loved and enjoyed every minute spent there. Would highly recommend this venue as an out of this world experience and never to be forgotten !!

For over a year now, Dundas Castle has become almost like a second home for us. In may 2025 we were in Scotland visiting potential wedding venues, and the second we walked through the gates at Dundas, we knew we had found our place. There is a kind of magical aura to that place that i will never quite be able to put into words. But beyond the beauty of the venue, there is this incredible team of people that went above and beyond to insure our wedding was as unique and special as we had imagined it. And somehow, despite everything they do, they made us feel as though we were the only couple in the world. Every member of that team that helped us plan our 4 day event will forever have their special place in our hearts. Their kindness, warmth and genuine desire to help bring dreams to life is unmatched. Even though they already know how deeply grateful we are, we will never miss an opportunity to say it again. So, to Louise, Jill, Ellice, and every single member of the Dundas family—thank you from the bottom of our hearts. You gave us some of the happiest memories of our lives, and we will never, ever forget you. Initially the plan was to have an elopement wedding. Just my husband and I. It was all arranged. However, with 10 weeks to go, we changed the plan last minute to accommodate 27 more guests! Was it a problem, absolutely not! The team at Norton were amazing. Laura supported us with our changes and the different options we were looking at, and suggested the best package to suit our revised plans. As we live down south, everything was done from afar, but we did take a trip up to Edinburgh 7 wks before the big day to do our menu tasting. The venue is beautiful with lovely photogenic grounds. From start to finish everyone at the Norton were outstanding. Their customer service is second to none. From the staff on reception, the bar staff, the events team, right through to the restaurant team. On the actual wedding day Callum was our Operations Director. We cannot praise him highly enough!! He was truly amazing and i don't know what we would have done without him. He kept us on time, kept our guests in the right place. Instinctively knew when to pop up, just at the right time. He ran a tight but friendly ship to keep everything on track, and i personally I would have been lost without him. When it came to the meal, our guests said that was the best wedding food they had ever had! It really was quality!! Everyone was literally full by the end of the meal, but nicely so. As part of our package, our guest got a discount on their rooms, so nearly all our guests stayed at the hotel. We are so glad we chose the Norton Hotel & Spa for our wedding. Everyone had a wonderful time and made good use of all the facilities.

We couldn’t be more grateful for the incredible experience we had at Duns Castle this past November. Our wedding ran flawlessly from start to finish, and both we and our guests had an unforgettable time -- memories we’ll carry with us forever. We chose this venue because it allowed us to select our own suppliers, and comfortably accommodate our 24 guests for four days, three nights. Andrea, the estate administrator, was able to provide suggestions and guidance throughout the planning process and was wonderful with communicating the final itinerary with our vendors so everything was seamless once we arrived. In addition to the activities we hosted at the estate (a private whisky tasting, and mini highland games on the lawn), our guests enjoyed roaming the grounds, hiking to Duns Law, and taking snowy strolls into town to visit the local restaurants and shops. If you’re looking for a venue that combines beautiful surroundings with outstanding service, and the flexibility to create a truly bespoke wedding experience, this is the place. Our time at Duns Castle was exceptional in every way, and we would recommend it wholeheartedly to any couple planning their wedding.

We picked the Dalmahoy after I took my then girlfriend now my wife here for a birthday treat and we instantly fell in love with the place, everything about the hotel is just perfect from the staff the food the service and of coarse the building itself, when we first inquired about getting married we met Emma the wedding coordinator for the first time and we knew for sure after a brief chat this was the place, from start to the day itself everything was taken care of nothing was a hassle or to much, our whole day was amazing and everything went perfectly and this was all down to Emma and the amazing team behind her, for what we got and the personal attention the Dalmahoy is by far great value, each and everyone of our guests complimented the hotel and said it was the best wedding they’d ever attended, we genuinely would do it all over again and we now class Emma as a friend. My advice stop thinking about it and book the Dalmahoy it truly is an amazing place for your once in a forever day.

We had the most wonderful wedding day at RCPE in November 2025. Our guests were absolutely blown away by the venue, so many people commented on how unique and beautiful it was, and several said it was a day they’ll always remember. The entire events team was incredibly accommodating and helpful from start to finish. Everything felt effortless thanks to their support, and we’re so grateful for how smoothly the whole day ran. Thank you to Hannah and the RCPE Events Team for giving us such a fantastic experience. We couldn’t have wished for a better venue for our wedding!
