Landmark Wedding Venues in Scotland

All the staff at the Atholl Palace were extremely helpful and supportive throughout the entire planning of our wedding. Due to COVID there was many rearrangements of our wedding date and the staff were always very accommodating and patient. We had a wonderful day with all our guests, the food was excellent and the setting was beautiful. We would highly recommend the Atholl Palace as a Wedding venue.

From the moment I walked through the door, I fell in love with Trump Turnberry. Everyone was so welcoming from the staff at the front door to the waitresses who served us tea before we looked around – I knew instantly this is where we wanted to get married. We wanted to have our wedding in Scotland as it’s where John and I are both from. After visiting a few places nothing really compared to Turnberry in our eyes – it was the nicest venue we visited. Turnberry has everything you need in one place, which was perfect. We had 150 guests in total who attended the wedding all day. We didn’t have night guests as we wanted our wedding to be an intimate day for friends and family only. The staff at Turnberry couldn’t do anymore for us. I had two coordinators who were fantastic and made sure everything ran smoothly from the moment we arrived. My wedding dress and bridesmaid dresses were taken to be steamed as soon as we arrived and brought back quickly – nothing was too much trouble. Everyone was so friendly and welcoming and each one of my guests were delighted with the hotel. Some of my guests couldn’t get to the nearest town to have their hair done and the hotel was so accommodating and took the guests to the salon – it was the added extras that made our day extra special for everyone involved. I would highly recommend Turnberry, it’s my favourite place and I wish we lived closer to Scotland to return as often as possible. The views, the location, the food, everything was perfect – I don’t have one fault and the staff are incredible. I still have friends saying the food is the best they’ve ever tasted. The Donald J. Trump Ballroom is a real fairytale room – it’s breathtaking.

Our Wedding day at The Old Dr Bells Baths in July 2019, was without doubt, the happiest day of our lives. We truly appreciated the staff, their enthusiasm and intuition on the day added to the joy of the occasion as we were free to simply soak up the atmosphere. Nothing was too much trouble and a lot of guests commented on how lovely they all were. The pairing of Dr Bells as a venue and Angels with Bagpipes as a caterer is a masterstroke; an exemplary menu and a superb venue both serve as an amazing foundation to any celebration and the success of our day was an outstanding example of that relationship. Right from the outset it was apparent that the Dr Bells "ethos" was to deliver the best at fair price, without adding on the wedding premium, of which so many other venues are guilty. All of our guests said ours was the best wedding they had been to. The unique brand of hospitality at Dr Bells, immediately made our guests feel at home. Our day was truly memorable and we owe this to the hard work of Mike and Fraser and their teams at the Old Dr Bells Baths. Thank you so much for all our happy memories. Laura & Kenny Lean

My husband, Neil, and I got married in June 2019 in the beautiful Riddle's Court. We had the most wonderful day with all our friends and family, and Riddle's Court played a huge part in making it so special. In the run up to our wedding, Gail and Louise, the events coordinators at Riddle's Court, allowed us the flexibility to plan our day as we envisioned, and were always eager to accommodate our wishes. On the day, their help and support was key in helping the day flow seamlessly (from our point of view anyway!), which meant we were able to fully enjoy the time with our friends and family. Riddle's Court is an absolutely stunning venue (all our guests thought so too!) and we feel so lucky to have hosted our wedding in its historic rooms. I wouldn't hesitate to recommend Riddle's Court to anyone considering having their wedding there.

What can we say, thank you, thank you, thank you. My husband and I would like to take the time to thank you both very much for all you did for us in the run up to and day of our wedding. I can't believe it was three weeks ago already! It truly was the most amazing day of our lives. We really couldn't have wished for anything more, even the weather was on our side. Glen Tanar Ballroom and grounds was the perfect place to have our wedding. Once our photos are online I will send you the details so that you can have a look at the great memories you both helped create. We honestly can't thank you enough.

We had the most wonderful day getting married at Raemoir, we couldn't of asked for the day to go any better. The staff go out of their way to make sure that everything is of the highest standard. 5 star service!

Beautiful venue, one room more beautiful than the next. Staff extremely helpful and make sure everything went to plan . Only down side was due to the venue being in public park, difficult for guests to park. Perhaps that wee car park should be reserved for House for Art Lover only, as a few folks were dog walking and had parked up.

Now that I am back to work (and reality), I just wanted to drop you a note to say thanks for all your help both in the lead up to and on the day of our wedding. The day ran like clockwork (despite our best efforts to delay things with our speeches) which is all down to you and your team. Your organisation made sure that we had nothing to worry about on the day and I know that you helped to keep us calm and relaxed which is much appreciated! Please also pass on my thanks to the rest of your team/staff at Hudsons. They are very attentive and the service we received was first class and they are a credit to you and Hudsons. The food was also excellent so please pass on.

We had our wedding reception at Ghillie Dhu. We searched many venues in Edinburgh for our wedding reception, but found that Ghillie Dhu could provide us with the bespoke style wedding package that we wanted. From our first enquiry into Ghillie Dhu right through to our final contact after the wedding, the level of customer service was superb. The venue itself is spectacular with amazing period features, so naturally our photographer had a field day! So many of our guests commented to us at how beautifully the venue had been lit and decorated for our special day. There was ample bar staff to accommodate our 130 guests, and the food served was incredible. We opted for a hog roast, and even I went back for seconds it was that good! Our wedding/event manager was fantastic, she organised everything perfectly and tended to our every need (including my flat shoes hidden under my seat!) We were made to feel very special, and could not have wished for any more. In my eyes, Ghillie Dhu deserves every wedding award under the sun and I look forward to hear how they do at The Scottish Wedding Awards!”

I stayed in Carberry Tower for a couple of nights with my girlfriend and was one of the most amazing places I've ever been in. The grounds and the exterior is breathtaking, the rooms are extremely nice and the staff are very friendly and helpful. We also enjoyed the dining experience on our first night which I cannot recommend enough. All in all it is a great place to stay and there is no one I wouldn't recommend it too!
