Facilities and Capacity
There are several event spaces at The Old Course Hotel, ideal for hosting your ceremony and wedding breakfast. The light-filled conservatory boasts breathtaking views of the landscape. You can exchange your vows with up to 150 seated guests, and the versatile space means it's easily adapted for smaller weddings too. The stunning ballroom can seat 120 guests for dinner, including a dance floor, and can be set up and decorated per your wishes. With its glittering chandeliers and separate bar area, guests are served in style, keeping the party going well into the evening. The Hall of Champions is another notable event space offering an abundance of natural light and a private entrance for the newlyweds. Floor-to-ceiling glass doors open onto an outdoor terrace with views of the golf course, providing a perfect spot for a drinks reception. Up to 450 guests can be comfortably seated, making it ideal for larger weddings and traditional ceilidh dancing. A selection of smaller spaces is onsite for intimate weddings, including the library and the Boardroom.

The absolutely perfect wedding!
We had our wedding at the Old Course Hotel on 2nd August 2025, and we honestly couldn’t have asked for a more perfect day. From the moment we booked, the team were attentive, professional, and genuinely invested in making our wedding everything we had hoped for. Nothing ever felt like too much trouble – every detail was handled with such care, and their organisation made the whole process so much easier and more enjoyable.
On the day itself, the service was outstanding. The staff went above and beyond to look after us and our guests: so many people commented on how seamless everything felt. The food was exceptional, and the setting speaks for itself; the views over the Old Course and West Sands made for the most spectacular backdrop.
What stood out most to us was the warmth and professionalism of the entire team. We felt completely supported and reassured throughout the planning and on the day, which meant we could relax and truly enjoy ourselves. It’s clear they genuinely care about every couple’s experience, and that makes all the difference.

Magical Elopement at The Old Course
We eloped and married at The Old Course Hotel in St Andrews. It was magical. From the fun dinner the night before at The Jigger Inn, to the exquisite afternoon tea to the groom playing golf at The Dukes on the morning of the wedding. The wedding planner at The Old Course ensured our wedding was beautiful, the decorations were in place and the whole team made us feel so special. Our wedding was tiny but every last detail was thought of down to the decoration of our honeymoon room with rose petals including a bottle of fine champagne. If you’re looking for a wedding venue, choose The Old Course. It’s five star luxury with the feeling of family.

Best wedding venue ever!
We only toured one venue because I knew post meeting with the Old Course that it was the place for us. The staff was so wonderful (adored Jess Paton!), the venue was spectacular. They made everything so seamless and easy leading up to the wedding and on the day of. EVERYONE commented on how good the food was and how professional the staff was. It was the best wedding ever and that wouldn't have been possible without the Old Course. We did the ceremony and reception at the Old Course and loved how easy it was and how much our guests loved getting to enjoy the views and lovely venue. We'll go back every year for our anniversary if we can!

The food was absolutely delicious, beautifully presented, and paired with an excellent wine selection that our guests are still talking about. The best wedding venue!
We couldn’t recommend Old Course Hotel enough as a wedding venue. From the first time we went to view the Hotel to our wedding day, we received exceptional service from all staff. The booking and planning process was made extremely easy, the hotel couldn’t have done more to assist us. We were in constant communication and any questions I had were answered promptly. The day itself ran exceptionally smoothly and without flaws. The food and drinks service was amazing. Every staff member we encountered was friendly, welcoming and professional.

The setting for a perfect St Andrews Wedding
We had a really positive experience working with Jessica and the team at The Old Course Hotel planning our wedding. From the start we were impressed by the professionalism and warmth shown by the staff there. We felt totally listened to and were given great advice about how to make our day special – from bigger picture things and timings for the day all the way down to the finer details with the linen consultation. This was felt from the initial enquiry, to the menu tasting and stay, to the big day itself. Our wedding day flowed smoothly and seamlessly and we both felt really relaxed. The conservatory for the drinks reception and ballroom for the meal and rest of the evening were perfect settings for our 70-person wedding. Thank you for the most beautiful day!

OCH & Jordan utterly outstanding in every way
From the moment we arrived, we felt so welcomed and valued, and every single detail was executed with a level of care and precision that went far beyond our expectations. We genuinely cannot mention everything they did to make our wedding experience so special. The best venue - couldn't recommend it enough!
My husband and I got married here back in June, and we can't thank The Old Course enough for making it the best day of our lives. Right from start to finish, the team were so so helpful and on it. Jessica was our wedding planner and she did the most amazing job of making everything perfect - and was just such a lovely person! The communication was always great, and they were so amazing with any requests we had. They really do think of everything, from the big things to all the tiny small details which make the day so beautiful. On the day itself, the team were outstanding at making sure everything ran smoothly, and we didn't ever have to worry about anything at all! Everyone said how great the service was - and we were looked after so well! So grateful for everything the team did.

Best Venue
We had the most amazing wedding thanks to the Old Course Hotel! Our wedding coordinator, Jess, was so amazing and made the process so easy as we were coming in from Texas to get married. The entire day was absolutely perfect and we can't thank them enough! Such a beautiful venue with the most amazing staff! Highly recommend having your wedding here!

An Intimate Afternoon Tea Wedding Reception
We loved every second of our intimate wedding reception in the Conservatory at the Old Course Hotel. Although we had just 8 guests, this beautiful room with its breathtaking views, felt cosy and intimate thanks to Jess and her team creating the right floor plan and set up for us. From the moment we enquired about the venue, Jess and the team were beyond helpful and we couldn't have asked for a better experience. The whole process was smooth and stress free but above all personal and we couldn't fault the venue or the team. We are so thrilled that we chose the Old Course Hotel, and in particular the Conservatory, for our wedding reception venue and we will look back fondly on this part of our wedding day forever.

The best things come in small packages
I’d always thought of the Old course hotel as being a venue for big events, but the board room on the 4th floor was the perfect venue for our small and intimate wedding. The views over the golf courses made for a perfect backdrop and Jess and the team at the hotel looked after our every need both before and during the wedding. We also worked with a stylist to help us dress the room and the hotel was very accommodating in giving them access to set up.

Don’t hesitate to book!!
After attending the wedding fayre I knew I wanted to get married at this venue. So we got it booked in straight away!! We worked with Jess and she was amazing!! Nothing was too big of an ask, and any problems she was there to help. The lead up to the wedding was smooth and everything was sorted in advance and it was the easiest process. Everyone told me to get ready for the stresses that would come with planning a wedding but honestly, with Jess and the staff at the old course there was no stress. They took care of everything we needed and even a last minute menu change for a guest.
Our wedding day was magical. Jess came in to check on me morning off and updated me on anything that required my attention. All of the staff that worked on our special day were so professional and attentive to ensure our day was as special as can be. We are so grateful we had our wedding here as we don’t believe it could’ve been any better. Our guests left the wedding saying it was the best weddings they have been to and that was because of how beautiful the venue is and the amazing staff that work there. It can work out a bit pricey but it is 1000% worth every penny and there’s not a venue out there that could beat it.
