As the parents of the groom we found the whole wedding experience just perfect. As any parent of a bride or groom knows, it can be a pretty stressful/nervous start to the day hoping that everything will go to plan and all the guests have a lovely day.
I have to say that from our point of view it was 100% spot on. On the day, every detail was taken care of and every single member of staff we encountered were friendly, polite and professional. The venue is beautiful, spotlessly clean and very tastefully decorated. We would definitely recommend Newton Hall.

What can we say...
Newton Hall were absolutely incredible from start to finish. We don't live in Northumberland, we actually live 4 hours away in the Midlands, despite this, the team at Newton Hall managed to perfect our wedding day.
Nothing was too much for them and they were so helpful ensuring everything ran seamlessly on the day. The staff were fantastic, particularly our Master of Ceremonies, Ian and our Wedding Manager Lucy. Their knowledge, confidence and reassurance meant we felt absolutely at ease throughout the day, we didn't have to worry or fuss about anything. I must also mention the amazing Mariana who was the mostly friendly and warming lady, she went out of her way at both our pre-wedding visit and on our big day to add a personal touch to our wedding day and she made us feel so special.
From last minute table changes to cake in our bedroom, Newton Hall accommodated every request without question and we would absolutely recommend the beautiful venue to any bride and groom looking for a stunning, quirky venue who offer tailored and bespoke services. The venue itself is amazing, every photograph has an incredible backdrop, it is truly unique. The food was fantastic and fresh and all our guests commented on how much they enjoyed it.
Despite only having 30 guests, the venue never felt empty, with a fantastic choice of rooms and a clever set up our small wedding felt intimate and cosy. We had our evening reception in the Enchanted Chapel which was the perfect size for a dance floor, space for our performer and a cosy comfy seating area. It was the most romantic evening, filled with love and laughter.
Thank you so much to all the amazing staff who helped us create our incredible day, we will definitely cherish the memories for many years to come and we can't wait to come back and visit such a beautiful part of the country at the first chance we get!

We have an incredible day! Our guests were blown away with the service of staff and also the venue as a whole. Lucy our wedding manager and Beth our coordinator were both amazing! Our day wouldn’t have been without them both in the lead up and then also on the day!

I recently got married at Newton Hall and the whole experience was fantastic from start to finish. The Wedding team are great, from explaining all the options in the early stages, to making sure the day ran like clockwork.

The Venue is beautiful, and the minute I walked in, I felt it had a lovely welcoming vibe. It's the perfect mix of heritage, shabby and chic. And with happy staff!

The gardens are beautiful, the front two reception rooms are light and bright and the ceremony room and 'Garden' room are warm and atmospheric. I only had 75 people but it didn't feel empty at all, even though it can take a lot more.

The food was also lovely and received many compliments, especially from those that had the Salmon.

The only criticism is that the rooms are a touch too expensive, which made them hard to fill. And also, the lighting is quite bad in the Bridal suite, so I ended up doing my makeup outside, while the bridesmaids fought over an LED travel mirror! So *please add better lighting around the mirror* .

Newton Hall absolutely exceeded our expectations, the venue, the staff - honestly everything about it was just incredible, we have had so many comments particularly about Becca, Ian and Nicole who made the day run as seamless as possible, nothing was too much and no question was silly! We truly couldn’t have wished for a better day.

After being together for 10 years and having a short engagement of 7 months you can imagine it was all hands on deck when the planning started, Hannah, our wedding coordinator has been like an extra to my bridal party! She’s been brilliant and again, always been there to answer any questions!

My only regret is that it went in the blink of an eye! I’d recommend this venue to anyone, it really is what dreams are made of!

Everything about Newton Hall was fabulous. We loved the entire venue and grounds, as well as the adjoining garden rooms and local sister venue The Joiners Arms.
Our wedding planner was fantastic and made everything easy in the run up and on the day the staff were absolutely excellent especially Andrew and Lucy.
The food and drinks on the day were great, service fabulous and we had lots of choice. It was important to us that we could have a venue that took care of things for us so we didn't have to organise this ourselves and we are so glad we chose Newton Hall for this. The venue is stunning and the accommodation was exactly what we wanted. We loved how dog friendly it was, and that it was exclusively for us on our wedding day.

We had a small intimate wedding at newton hall in early sep.

The day was perfect from start to finish. We travelled up from Yorkshire with our closest family and friends the night before the wedding and stayed at newton hall courtyard rooms and the Joiners Arms. We all got together the night before and had BBQ food in the Joiners. The food was gorgeous and enough food to feed us and more. Thank you to the joiners Arms for accomodating our scratchcards for adults to win a drink and children to win sweets, this was a big hit.

The morning of our wedding went perfectly and exactly to plan in terms of timelines. Everything was executed as asked. The chapel looked stunning and our wedding breakfast set up looked beautiful. The food was exceptional, we opted for the ultimate feast and every single course was perfect.

Lauren from head office who was our wedding planner had been with us throughout the planning process. She is professional but friendly and no query was ever too much trouble, no matter how quirky! The reason everything went so perfectly to plan is due to Laurens hardwork and dedication to getting all our details down for the venue, even keeping the secrets the groom was hiding from the bride and the ones the bride was hiding from the groom! We cant thank Lauren enough, she is amazing at her job and the best secret keeper!

On the day our coordinator was Lucy, she was attentative to all our needs and executed the plans perfectly. She was present throughout the day whenever we needed her and again helped behind the scenes ensuring our secret plans were kept a secret until the reveals! Like Lauren she is also fantastic at her job and we were lucky we had had both girls looking after us prior and on the day.

Last little mention is to our MC Nicola. She was amazing at keeping everything on track and keeping people informed throughout the day. She is excellent at what she does and her vibe is so much fun!

We cant thank Lauren, Lucy, Nicola and eveyone else on the day enough for making our day so special. We highly recommend Newton Hall and team for giving us a beautiful, romantic and (slightly) emotional day.

The day was perfect from start to finish. The staff set up the rooms and decorations exactly as we imagined. Ian (MOC) ran the day smoothly as you like and Lucy handled things excellently in the background.

Honestly, I just wish I could relive my wedding day over and over again. It really was my dream come true. Newton hall, Beth Courtier (our coordinator) and all of our suppliers worked together seamlessly to create a vision which had been a dream of mine for the past two years. My wedding morning was nothing but good vibes and calm energy to let us all get ready. Followed by an elegant ceremony outside in the stunning grounds; conducted by two lovely ladies from Alnwick registrars. Nothing was too much trouble. We even managed to get the house the night before the wedding which created memories to last a lifetime. The only small criticism I have is that the morning after the wedding we were slightly lost as to were all of our wedding supplies had been put. We actually left the venue and returned to ask about our cake as it had been left in the fridge - unbeknown to us - and no one had told us where it was. There was another wedding on so I completely understand how busy everyone was - perhaps a designated person to inform us of all of our belongings would have been the cherry on top of a perfect wedding cake. I can’t thank Newton Hall for helping us to celebrate our special time. I’m quite sad now that I need to unsubscribe from the wedding mailer list 😂🙈

Worth every penny - a celebration to suit all budgets! We would actually pay it all again to relive our perfect day.

We started our journey with the Apartment Group when we were looking for really dog friendly venues who would let our labs be with us all day and night. From the first open day, the team and Donna were all amazing. After going to a few viewings, we fell in love with Newton Hall and immediately booked it. Since then, we have been in the wonderful hands of Lauren, who has been there to answer every question, panicked worry and generally keep us sane in the planning process! Lauren made everything so easy and when it came to our meeting a few weeks before the wedding, Lauren had clearly noted every minute detail we had ever mentioned (even if I forgot!) over the last 18 months which gave us full confidence that the wedding we had in our head was exactly what we would get.

Come to the big day, and we met Becca, our wedding manager and Ben, our Master of ceremonies and they were both incredible. They literally could not do enough for us, making us feel entirely special and catered for (even if they do this day in day out!). The whole day went absolutely smoothly and without a hitch and never did we feel stressed, pressured or like we had to sort anything out. The whole team on the day were also amazing, all our servers were just so lovely and so willing to help make your day the best it could be.

When we booked the wedding, we always wondered if it was just sales techniques....what would the planning be like, what would the day be like....But can whole heartedly say that every step and person we have engaged with has been amazing. It's honestly the best customer service we have ever had.

So, a huge thank you to everyone involved, to Lauren for my endless messages for 18 months, to Becca and Ben for keeping us sane on the day and to everyone else behind the scenes who made our day so special and individual.

We cannot recommend Newton Hall enough. From the initial visit on an open day in January, to the day of our wedding last week, we felt in good, knowledgable and very experienced hands. Communication with Hannah, our wedding coordinator was always clear, open and timely. She was so personable and responsive. There were times where we as a couple felt out of our depth with the planning; not really knowing what we needed to do or buy and no question felt too much to ask which was always so reassuring. Thank you Hannah!

The staff on the day at Newton Hall were all so professional yet approachable. Nothing felt too much to ask. Lucy was truly incredible, so calm, yet organised. She would appear at all the right times, so organised and relaxed, there was never a doubt that everything was in hand and running smoothly. On a day a huge as your wedding day, the comfort I felt with her helping to run the day was beyond words.

Our guests have since commented on how beautifully the day flowed from one part to another, never feeling rushed but always with something wholesome and fulfilling to do. I couldn’t agree more, the perfect compliment of structured ceremony, meal, drinks, tea and coffee time alongside socialising, quiet moments to steal away together (for guests too, the grounds are stunning) and fun lawn games, we even threw a quick game of 5-a-side, brides family vs grooms family!

The rooms were all stunning, no complaints from any guests. The little touches such as locally sourced biscuits and ground coffee for the coffee press added an extra special touch and went down particularly well with our American guests as well as the others. The rooms were unique and comfortable, we stayed in Pinarello, cala Deia and Beadnell, all of which were so different from the last but equally as stunning.

The food provided on the day has been one of the highlights for us and our guests, many who have commented since, telling of how much they loved it. Food was plentiful, fresh and tasty. We couldn’t have been happier with what was provided and only wish we could have it again!

Dean, the maintenance guy happened upon us as we arrived. He was so helpful, guiding us to where we needed to go which meant turning back and continuing to work, even though he should have been heading home. This meant a lot to us and our party so thank you Dean.

Overall, we couldn’t be happier with our whole experience with Newton Hall. The staff in all areas from the admin team, the accommodations team, the staff within Newton Hall and beyond have been a pleasure to work with, they have created a dream come true for us and we’ll be forever thankful for the incredible memories they worked so hard to help us to create

We got married at Newton Hall in June 2025. It was perfect. The team went above and beyond to make sure that our vision came to life. Lauren was an amazing wedding coordinator who was always super efficient to get back to me regarding any questions i have at all. Would highly recommend!!

We had the most perfect wedding day at Newton Hall. The setting was stunning, and we were fortunate with beautiful weather that allowed us to have our ceremony outside in the manor house gardens — it couldn’t have been more ideal.
