Resting on the borders of Surrey, Hampshire and West Sussex, Lythe Hill Hotel & Spa is an award winning wedding venue and yet remains somewhat of a hidden gem! Surrounded by countryside, the venue provides a really private and beautiful setting, combining old world charm with contemporary, elegant décor. While the original 16th century Tudor House sits at the entrance, the real treat for couples and their guests lies beyond the main building – 22 acres of rural ambience with an outdoor gazebo licensed to perform civil ceremonies of up to 150 guests. This all sits overlooking a stunning lake against breath-taking views of the South Downs Countryside beyond.
In summer months, the outdoor Gazebo, with its picturesque backdrop is the clear favourite with couples hosting their ceremony and drinks reception. The Meadow provides an ideal outdoor space for traditional lawn games and those impressive photo opportunities.
But Lythe Hill also boasts a number of stylish indoor ceremony spaces to cater for both intimate gatherings and celebrations up to 150 guests. The Ivory Suite is the largest of these spaces and features an impressive sky view lantern roof, exposed beams and neutral décor throughout, making it easy to dress to any theme or colour scheme. Comfortably seating 150 guests for a wedding breakfast, the Ivory Suite can also cater for up to 250 guests for an evening reception.
The new Hampton Suite, with its high ceilings, exposed brick and neutral tones is licenced for up to 80 guests, while those opting for a more intimate celebration can say their vows in the historic Tudor House’s “Old Room”. Hosting up to 30 guests, The Old Room is full of character, with oak-panelled walls and a decorative fireplace.
With 43 individually designed bedrooms, gym, spa, health club and stunning restaurant, you can expect faultless service.

Perfect 2020 Wedding Day
We booked Lythe Hill in 2019 for our 2020 wedding and like all other couples, what a year we've had. Lythe Hill provided us with the exclusive venue we wanted and a very good value wedding package for our 80 guests. Come March, we postponed our wedding until October and Lythe Hill were so flexible and accommodating during such a stressful and upsetting time. We were able to spend even more time planning our second date with a reduced guestlist and Lythe Hill made us feel comfortable and still made the process special for us. Eventually we brought our date forward with only 3 days notice, when the rules changed again and the team were again professional and accommodating to what we wanted. Despite the government restrictions, Lythe Hill worked hard to enable us to have the day of our dreams and although we sacrificed a lot of our guest list, we didn't feel that we lost out on our wedding day. Lythe Hill made our day so special and we were so lucky to be able to get married there this year. Jane and Lily are fantastic - they really helped deliver our day and made it everything we hoped it could've been.Sent on 06/11/2020

Our perfect day
We had the most perfect day at Lythe Hill! The venue is stunning & the staff work incredibly hard. The bridal suite is beautiful & absolutely huge which was fantastic as 7 of us were getting ready in there but we had more than enough space. The room also has a view of the gazebo so I could peek out & see my guests arriving, adding to the excitement! Unfortunately due to a sudden weather change we had to move the ceremony inside which you would think would be a major set back & complete chaos but this was dealt with calmly & quickly. Nicole our wedding coordinator was just fantastic. They kept the indoor room ready just in case so in the 10 minutes that I was having my interview with the registrar the room was ready & all my guests were indoors seated & more importantly dry! The garden room which they use for weddings is gorgeous, with a glass celling there so much natural light which really pleased our photographers. Everyone has been talking about how good the food was, infact many guests have said they plan on going back for a meal. The garden room is perfect for any wedding colour scheme with wood flooring (no bright swirly carpets like a lot of venues) neutral walls & white tulle curtains. However it still has a lot of character so you don't need to go crazy on decorating the room either. The bar staff in the evening were brilliant, many guests have commented on how good the service was & how fun the staff were too. 50 of our guests stayed at the hotel & all of them were happy with their rooms. We can't thank them enough for making our day exactly what we wanted!Sent on 04/10/2016

August 2016 Wedding
We recently had our wedding reception at Lythe Hill and what an absolutely perfect day. We were incredibly lucky and had a lovely sunny day so we're able to make full use of the beautiful grounds for our photographs. The lake and gazebo on the lawn are perfect for this. The staff couldn't have been more helpful in making sure that our day ran so smoothly. A special mention to Nicole our wedding co ordinator who worked incredibly hard in ensuring we had such an amazing day, what with the many emails and planning over the past two years thank you!!Sent on 22/08/2016
All of our guests had a fantastic time and commented on how delicious and beautifully presented our three course wedding breakfast was.
We just wish that the day hadn't gone quiet so quickly!!
Thank you so much from the new Mr and Mrs Goldsmith!!
