The Perfect Elopement!
We recently eloped at Sandy Cove, and we honestly couldn't have asked for a more perfect wedding experience! We tied the knot on 11th June and from start to finish, both my husband and I had the most incredible time.
Every single member of staff was amazing – so genuinely helpful, friendly, and kind. They went above and beyond to make us feel welcome and made sure we had everything we needed. A special, heartfelt shout-out must go to our wonderful wedding coordinator, Sammie, who was just brilliant. She looked after us all day and made everything ran smoothly.
Our room was unreal, but the view... wow. It was breathtaking. Photos honestly don't do it justice and you have to see it to fully appreciate it. By the end of our stay, we genuinely didn't want to leave!
Sandy Cove provided the perfect backdrop for our elopement, and we'll cherish the memories forever. A big thank you to everyone who made our time there so special. Highly, highly recommend!

A Winter Tropical Extravaganza!
We held our wedding at Sandy Cove taking up the ‘Exclusive Use’ winter package. Sammie our on the day wedding coordinator was absolutely fantastic and took all the stress off us. The weather was miraculously fantastic for December in North Devon and the venue staff were willing to help us set our ceremony up last minute outside if we wanted.
The quality of our wedding breakfast food was excellent and the venue was flexible to accommodate dietary needs from guests.
The bridal party loved the ‘get ready’ room which was a fun way to prepare out of sight of the rest of the guests (and the groom!)
We had support from the wedding admin team on the lead up to the wedding, with templates for us to complete to organise all the table plans and food options. All very organised.
The venue itself is truly beautiful. It was a nice bonus to be able to walk down the beach steps to get some photos - though being winter and 350 steps we only made it half way!
The hotel accommodation was really handy for all of our guests, especially as we got the whole hotel bar/restaurant to ourselves for the night before the wedding to throw a pizza party. The renovated swimming pool and spa is very luxurious and had only newly opened when we held our event.
Overall it was a magical weekend, we are so happy to have chosen Sandy Cove for our big day!

Incredible Winter Wedding
We recently had our wedding at Sandy Cove Hotel, and we honestly couldn’t have wished for a more perfect venue or a better team to look after us. From the moment we arrived to the moment we left, everything was exceptional.
The staff went above and beyond for us, nothing was ever too much trouble. Sharna, Deb, Nadine, Sammy and the entire Sandy Cove team were warm, organised, and genuinely invested in making our day special. Their communication, care, and attention to detail meant we never had to worry about a thing. We truly felt supported every step of the way.
The venue itself is breathtaking. The views, the ceremony space, the atmosphere, everything felt magical. Our guests were blown away, and we’ve had so many lovely comments about how beautiful the setting was and how smoothly the day ran.
The food, the service, the accommodation, and the overall experience were exceptional. We felt completely relaxed and able to enjoy every moment knowing the team had everything under control. It was a day we will never forget, and Sandy Cove played a huge part in that.

The best day of our lives, thanks to Sandycove!
Firstly I want to say thank you to all at Sandycove who made our day so special!
From planning, to every minute of our stay we were treated exceptionally and nothing was too much trouble. I can honestly say that EVERY member of staff we encountered were professional, friendly and helpful. The wedding planners prior and on the day, the receptionist, chef, waitress and night porter who ensured all of our needs were met, even at 5 in the morning!
Our wedding was everything I dreamed of! We had an elopement and I have had so many comments of how stunnoing our venue looked, most people thought we had been abroad. The food was 5* and the venue was beutiful, clean and welcoming.
I cant thank you all enough. They say your wedding day should be the happiest day of your life, and for us it truly was, thanks to Sandycove and all the staff. Thank you X

Sandy Cove Review
We had such an incredible day! Our coordinator sammie but our minds at ease in the morning, decorated inside incredibly and did all she could to get us married outside. Unfortunately, the rain came just before but it was still magical inside. The food was fantastic and staff couldnt do enough for us!

The most magical day
The most amazing venue, the views are obviously the selling point, but it is just incredible. Our day was the most magical day ever, from getting ready in the bridal prep room (which is an additional cost but so worth it) to the last song of the evening everything was perfect. The wedding coordinators were absolutely beautiful, down to earth, I had a laugh with them, and if anything went wrong I was not aware of it - and still not aware. Our wedding coordinators were Sammie and Anna and they were both beautiful ladies.
The food was INSANE, we opted for the BBQ which is a lot more chilled and it was all delicious. The deserts were gorgeous and the evening food was also just as delicious. Whenever my friends and family talk about the wedding the food is ALWAYS mentioned. Although it’s Sandy cove hotel it does not feel like you’re getting married at a hotel, it’s completely separate and incredibly perfect.
The staff in the hotel were so incredibly lovely, one of my wedding guests was chatting to the staff on reception until 1am the night before the wedding.
I couldn’t have wished for a better day and will be forever grateful to Sammie and Anna, the chefs and everyone at Sandy Cove. Thank you always x

Amazing wedding experience
From the beginning the staff at Sandy Cove were incredibly friendly and professional. The wedding experience was 10/10. The wedding weekend was perfect and our family and friends still talk about how incredible it was. Thank you to all the management and staff at Sandy Cove. X

Summer Elopement Wedding with Children
Looking for an elopement wedding with your children can be challenging. When we seen Sandy Cove and the view of the coast of Ilfracombe we knew it was perfect. The packages available are very reasonable especially to get the full venue for the day. It was great to spend time as a family and enjoy it. This was supported by a wedding co-ordinator who was great and support from the events team from the initial booking helped this wedding to be unique to ourselves. They offered advice and knew their stuff about what could be achieved. The team at Sandy cove all produced excellent customer service and were there to ensure our day went perfect! Will definitely be back to relive those special moments in the future. Thank you very much Sandy Cove.

An amazing venue
Where do I start. We knew Sandy Cove Hotel was the one the second we got out the car when we arrived to view the venue.
Fast forward to our wedding day of May this year. We arrived with 20 guests the night before. The service was 10/10 the moment we stepped into the hotel. Myself and my now husband couldn’t fault a thing. Nothing was ever too much. We all had a meal the night before the wedding. We had our own private room and had anything we needed for the entire evening. It was the perfect way to relax the night before the big day!
Then the wedding day. Sammie was amazing, she made the day run so smoothly. She took care of everything, I didn’t have to worry about a thing. From setting up tables to sorting out the decor, she did it all. The day ran so smoothly, we were all looked after so well. The food was also insane!
So to round things up. If you’re thinking of getting married at Sandy Cove Hotel, do it. You won’t regret it!

Wedding day review
We thoroughly enjoyed our wedding day, the venue is stunning and we got lovely weather which was a touch. The hotel rooms were lovely and our pre wedding dinner in the hotel restaurant was lovely. We got many compliments on our choice of venue.
We had a few little hiccups, which is more just constructive criticism, I think you shouldn’t be rushed out of the get ready room at 1pm, a lot of our stuff got thrown in boxes and a few bits got lost due to this but wasn’t the end of the world we organised it eventually. There was some mis communication between the venue and main hotel which caused a delay in some flowers being bought down from the room and our vegan lemon cake got forgotten about that was in the hotel fridge, so we cut and bought out late. The 2nd glasses of wine at our sit down was nearly forgotten about it was only because my husband realised that we mentioned about it and it was checked and bought round. We paid for an evening bbq which we missed due to photos I wouldn’t have minded a few bits being put aside for us.
Other than a few minor things, the wedding was perfect, the staff were beyond amazing nothing was too much trouble, the venue is stunning and I’d getting married here again in a heart beat if I could afford a second wedding. The food was also lovely. They were also dog friendly so our 2 fur babies could enjoy our wedding.

My Perfect Wedding
If you want a wedding at a venue with a stunning view with the most fantastic staff to run your day, look no further. We had the most amazing wedding day. The food was delicious and our wedding coordinator Sammy ran everything so efficiently. The view was so stunning and the venue itself is positioned ideally to make the most of it. As are the bridal suites.
We would 100% recommend this venue and can't thank Sandy Cove enough.

A Dream Wedding at Sandy Cove Hotel
We got married at Sandy Cove Hotel on April 26th, 2025, and it was everything we had hoped for – and more. From the moment we arrived, we were blown away by the stunning sea views and the peaceful, picturesque setting. It truly is a magical place to get married.

Wedding at the Sandy Cove
We recently got married at the Sandy Cove Hotel in sept 2025. We had shaune as our co ordinator who was nothing but a dream. Super helpful witj anything we need. Our cake didn't make it down in one piece and the chef very kindly managed to fix this for us. Our day ran super smoothly an we were made to feel nothing but comfortable during our wedding and stay at the hotel ❤️

Made our wedding perfect!
Staff were so hands on! The day ran so smoothly everyone me and my husband spoke to was more than happy to help. The venue is stunning! Even with the grey skies and rain on our day the photos we got back look amazing! Really good value for food, we had the bbq and there was mountains of food and all the guests loved it! Would 100% recommend!!!
