The Stone House Estate is an illustrious manor house and exclusive-use wedding venue set in the idyllic village of Rushlake Green, East Sussex. Blending Georgian grandeur with Tudor charm, this historic estate is surrounded by parkland and beautiful gardens. From the croquet lawn, the ideal spot for a marquee wedding reception, to the licensed Drawing Room for intimate ceremonies, Stone House offers a romantic country backdrop for couples seeking an elegant and timeless celebration.
Facilities & Capacity
Stone House welcomes you to its licensed Georgian Drawing Room, the perfect setting for a ceremony for up to 50 guests. After your vows, the same Drawing Room transforms for your wedding breakfast and evening reception, we can accommodate up to 90 guests indoors for the reception.
Outside, the croquet lawn and gardens provide a marquee-ready space for larger celebrations of 100+ guests, surrounded by the estate’s lush greenery and historic charm.
Accommodation is available on-site, featuring four-poster bedrooms in the Georgian front of the house and additional en-suite rooms in the original Tudor wing allowing the wedding party to stay together in comfort and style.

English country house of dreams!
Zoe was so helpful and responsive and also liaised with all the vendors to ensure that everything was in place before the day.
The staff and Zoe and Tom were so kind and attentive on the day itself and really made the reception feel personal and tailored.
Obviously the venue is beautiful but the recent addition of the outdoor tables was perfect as it meant the guests could enjoy indoors and out.
We loved our day and are so glad we found th Stonehouse, we’re so grateful to Zoe and all the friendly staff who really made the day feel very special. Thank you!
