We just wanted to send a note to say a massive thank you for everything. From our very first enquiry right through to the day itself, the whole experience was completely seamless and just incredible.
Roberta, you were amazing to work with. Nothing was ever too much trouble, and we loved how you took care of all the little details, even creating the table plan and menus to match our invitations. It made everything feel so personal.
The staff on the day were absolutely brilliant. They were so friendly, professional, and genuinely made our day perfect. A special thanks to the team for going above and beyond to look after our wedding party in the bar, too.
We were also so surprised and grateful to be upgraded to a suite, that was a lovely touch and made our stay extra special. More than anything, we really appreciated how well looked after everyone was; the thoughtful accommodations made for my elderly grandma and the babies in the group did not go unnoticed and meant a lot to us.
We couldn’t be happier with how everything went and will be recommending The Chesterfield to everyone. We'll definitely be back to stay again soon!

We held our wedding breakfast at The Chesterfield in September 2025, and I can honestly say it was one of the most outstanding customer service experiences we have ever had.

From our very first interaction through to the day itself, Roberta was nothing short of exceptional. She was always available to answer questions, provide guidance and reassurance, and nothing ever felt like too much trouble. Planning a wedding can be stressful at the best of times, but Roberta's professionalism, warmth and genuine care made the entire process so much easier.

Sadly, just two weeks before our wedding, we experienced the unexpected loss of my mother-in-law. During an incredibly difficult and emotional time, Roberta and the entire Chesterfield team showed immense compassion, understanding and kindness. They supported us every step of the way and helped us navigate the day with such sensitivity and grace. We never felt rushed or pressured, and they ensured that both we and our guests could take the time we needed to enjoy the occasion and honour our family's circumstances.

The attention to detail was simply impeccable. We had numerous dietary requirements across our guest list, and every single one was catered for with care and precision. The menu cards, place cards and all the personal touches were exactly as we had envisioned. The flowers were absolutely beautiful and helped create a stunning setting for our celebration.

Every member of staff we encountered was friendly, attentive and genuinely invested in making our day special. It was clear that everyone took pride in delivering an exceptional experience. We were particularly touched that even our dogs were welcomed and looked after so thoughtfully, making them feel just as much a part of the celebration as the rest of our family.

Roberta, thank you for your unwavering support, kindness and truly exemplary service. You went above and beyond in every possible way and played a significant role in making our wedding breakfast so memorable and beautiful. Despite the challenges we faced leading up to the day, you helped create precious memories that we will cherish forever.

We cannot thank you and the entire Chesterfield team enough. We would wholeheartedly recommend The Chesterfield to anyone looking for a venue that combines elegance with exceptional hospitality, and we are already looking forward to returning for afternoon tea very soon. Five stars simply do not feel enough!

Every single detail of our wedding at The Chesterfield exceeded our expectations! The service was truly five-star and we felt so taken care of. Our guests are still raving about the beauty of the spaces, especially Stanley’s, the incredible food, the stunning décor, and the exceptional service, particularly during the lunch portion of the day. We had a morning ceremony at 11 am, cocktail hour in the library and and lunch in the conservatory. Then, we headed up to Stanley's for the real fun! It couldn't have been more perfect for our small group of 18 people.

Roberta and the team handled everything seamlessly from Amazon deliveries to accommodating our guests' food allergies and requests, and our guests truly had the best time and did not want the celebration to end! We will cherish this day forever and could not have chosen a more perfect venue for our wedding. Thank you from the bottom of our hearts for the most perfect wedding day.

We had simply the most wonderful evening on Saturday at The Chesterfield for our silver wedding anniversary dinner.
None of our guests had visited the hotel before & they were blown away with the whole atmosphere, staff, decor & of course the absolutely stunning -looking Royal Suite.
This room, with the beautiful candelabra all lit & the chandeliers was perfect for our occasion.
The staff were superb, very friendly, efficient & discreet. The food was delicious - every bit as good as it had been when we came for the food tasting (& the french fries were a hit!) Everything that we had discussed in advance - the room to change into, the chair covers, the availability of the i pod dock, the overhead projector & microphone, were provided exactly as we had requested.
