Best day ever

We are over the moon with the reception we had at The Kitchen Garden Cafe. We wanted to have an informal and personal wedding with a mix of our own vegetarian and gluten free food and some from KGC options and they catered and adjusted to suit. We also wanted friends to bring food/ drink items and to play instruments and this was accommodated for. The day and evening ran smoothly thanks to Naomi who took everything's on board and understood completely what we wanted. Nothing was to much to ask. Best day ever!
Perfect wedding venue

This little gem is an amazing venue for a wedding. The staff were so friendly and ensured everything ran smoothly. The food was delicious, we had a three course meal and a hog roast which all guests commented on how nice this was. We used their DJ who was able to accommodate all sorts of requests. We cannot recommend this venue enough, absolutely outstanding

The Kichen Garden Café
On Saturday 6th October 2018, we held our wedding celebration party here, following a late afternoon Civil Ceremony at Selly Manor Museum. The Kitchen Garden Café is ideal for the smaller wedding celebration. We had 85 guests attend our buffet and disco party, who all fitted in and danced very comfortably in this rustic and very pretty venue.
From my initial enquiry in March, through to our big day in October, Naomi, events manager, couldn’t have been more helpful. We met several times to discuss and confirm details and there was no pressure in anyway whatsoever! They also negotiated with our cake maker and DJ to ensure the smooth running of the evening and decorated the venue perfectly with the decorations I had provided.
During the evening itself, the staff could not have been more accommodating. They were friendly, helpful and worked sooooo hard. Nothing was too much trouble, from changing the agreed time for serving the food (delayed by wedding speeches), through to fetching my friend’s comfy shoes from their office!! They were brilliant. The buffet food was gorgeous and plentiful and they even made up a box for us(bride and groom) to take away to eat in our hotel room.
I would definitely recommend this venue for a smaller, relaxed wedding.

We got married in Barbados and planning on having an intimate reception with family and friends when we came home. KGC is somewhere we had eaten before and loved then when we found they did receptions and functions it couldn't have been more perfect of a venue for us.
Naomi who helped coordinate everything was so organised and helped every step of the way, communication was never broken and was always quick and responsive. No request was too big or too small for them. The food tasting was amazing and helped us with making our selections for the function. The food was divine. So many guests commented on how amazing the food was and even with gluten free options no quality was spared.
With helping us decorate the venue the staff were brilliant, even with us running a little late Naomi ensured everything was ready in time for the evening.
The DJ was sourced for us by KGC and kept the party flowing into the evening.
Every aspect of the reception was spot on, even with our worries on our guest list being small it still felt cosy, warm and a happy environment.
Thank you Naomi and everyone at Kitchen Garden for making our evening perfect.
Best Wedding Reception Ever!

We just had our wedding reception at the Kitchen Garden Cafe - Prosecco reception, followed by buffet and disco. It was awesome. Naomi and the team were brilliant from the outset and made organising the event so easy. The venue is fantastic, the food and DJ brilliant. All of our guests have commented what a wonderful day it was. I would highly recommended to anyone considering it for a party/wedding reception.

We held the reception for my daughter Jodie's wedding at the Kitchen Garden Café and it was a truly memorable event. Nothing was too much trouble for Naomi, the Events Manager, who looked after us from the time we first approached the venue up to the day itself. The food was great, nicely served and well presented with plenty on the buffet for all the guests. We received many favourable comments about the evening. I would highly recommend this venue for your special day.

We had our wedding reception on 4th August 2018 at Kitchen Garden Cafe (KGC). Firstly to set the tone, we had an amazing time at KGC, such a wonderful venue, so Birmingham, inconspicuous at the front, yet so creative and inspiring inside. Secondly, a massive shout out to Naomi who is the manager at KGC, and was so organised, professional, thoughtful and kind. Naomi you really made our journey to the big day feel stress free and we felt confident we would realise what we wanted. On the big day, you nailed everything we needed and more. The food, drinks, organisation of the space (especially considering that the cafe was open the morning of the event for your BAU) and even the weather were spot on. Naomi helped us sort out great local food (hog roast), plus a local DJ, and a barrel of local beer too! All of which were fantastic. We really can’t impress on anyone how much we loved the space of KGC. You won’t find better in Birmingham!
If your considering organising a wedding, and want a team that will deliver something special, and it won’t cost the Earth, you would be daft not to speak to Naomi and her team.

We had our wedding here in July 2018 and can't speak highly enough of the venue and the staff, in particular, Naomi.
The Cafe suited the style of wedding we were hoping for with a rustic feel with character rather. The exposed brickwork, wooden tables and fairly lights gave the venue a perfect look and feel!
The food was incredible! We opted for a BBQ buffet and with so many dietary requirements, everything was well labelled and clear for everyone. We had made very specific requests with the food and the team delivered beyond our expectations!
Nothing was too much trouble to arrange and we really felt the team had gone the extra mile to make our day special. Everything felt personal and there was real care to make sure we had a great day.
Our guests all had a great time and commented on how much they loved the venue, the staff and the food.
Can't thank you enough for the most amazing day and highly recommend The Kitchen Garden Cafe to anyone looking for a venue with character, food with soul and staff that care.

We had a really fantastic wedding reception at the Garden Kitchen Café. Our evening consisted of a buffet, drinks reception, dancing until late and even some karaoke. Naomi, the Events Manager, was very organised and we had no problems getting everything customised to our liking, even with us being based outside of Birmingham during the planning process.
We really enjoyed ourselves and would highly recommend the venue.
Exactly what we needed
By James & Caroline, on 08 Feb 2018Date of Wedding - 08 Oct 2016
Our experience at the Kitchen Garden Cafe was perfect from start to finish.
We were welcomed into this charming space by Naomi for our first planning meeting. She made us feel welcome and valued from the very start. No idea was too big or too daft. Soon we went back to see what food options there were. The chef clearly took pride in their work: we were presented with platters of nearly everything they did - and tried our best to taste it all.
It was Kieran who looked after us through the final planning phases and on the night. We thought at one stage he was more excited than us! What a powerhouse of enthusiasm and ability. This experienced manager turned the place from charming to magical as he transformed the cafe into our venue and ran the event with style and aplomb. He even helped assemble our wedding cake!
It helps that the Kitchen Garden itself is also a gig venue, so they know what they are doing when it comes to music, people and parties. Our band - who had come up from London and purely do weddings - had such a good time they forgot to take promo shots for themselves, and that was down in no small part to how the staff accommodated them. What high praise!
Our guests keep mentioning even now how much fun they had and how blown away they were by the location, food and what a great time they had. From our perspective on the night we were able to leave everything to Kieron and his team. We were able to concentrate on what mattered most: dancing the night away with each other.
Thank you to everyone at the Kitchen Garden Café.

We held our hand-fasting reception at The Kitchen Garden. Kieran and his team were helpful and accommodating, nothing was too much trouble and they worked hard to make everything as we'd asked for. They made great tasting welcome drinks (alcoholic and none) as guests arrived. The food was delicious and all home cooked and the venue itself with fairy lights and all the plants looked magical. They let us put up a mirror ball in the entrance and bring lots of other kit which we left in their staff/office space the day before and collected the day after the celebrations. We were able to provide our own bubbles and pay a corkage charge which helped to keep the costs within our very tiny budget.
