We honestly couldn’t have asked for a better wedding venue. From start to finish, the team were so helpful and supportive throughout the entire planning process, nothing ever felt like too much trouble. On the day itself, the staff were amazing — friendly, organised and made everything run so smoothly, which meant we could just relax and enjoy every moment. Thank you all so much for helping make our day so special, we’re so grateful!

We got married at Rufford Mill in July 2025 on the most beautiful, sunny day. The venue was stunning, decorated beautifully and the team were so helpful and brilliant in the planning and execution of the day! We would highly recommend Rufford Mill to any couples looking for a perfect wedding venue!

Goosedale was our dream venue and it met those expectations. From the staff to the food to the general vibe of the place. It was perfect. All the little things really make a difference from the hidden gardens to explore to just the layout of the rooms we had for your reception and ceremony. We couldn't ask for a more perfect place. Everyone commented on how great it was. In the run up to our big day the team there were really helpful and any question or dietary requirement etc wasn't a issue and just made us feel confident the day would go smoothly and it really did. Thank you to everyone there.

My Wife, Imogen, and I got happily married on 1st September 2025 at the Pumping House. We found the venue on Hitched and we were immediately drawn to its industrial but classy aesthetic. Upon visiting, we knew it was 'the one' - it was spacious, elegant and had some really unique features, especially the themed rooms (games room especially was a hit!) and a fantastic mezzanine floor overlooking the main 'engine room' . Our events manager, Victoria, made us feel like nothing was too much trouble throughout the planning, with clear communication and speedy responses to our questions and ideas. We loved the food - a BBQ buffet for our Wedding Breakfast, and Chinese sweet and sour rice for the evening. The portions were really generous and the quality was outstanding, with some reasonably priced offerings on the list. The onsite accommodation was lovely, with ample room for our family and closest friends. The only downside was, we didn't have much time to enjoy the rooms! We got married on a Monday and this meant the accommodation wasn't available the night before (as there was another wedding), and we had to vacate the rooms by 10.30am the following morning. The breakfast the following morning was delicious too. We loved our time at the Pumping House and could not recommend the venue, or Victoria, more.

The team at Thoresby Park were fantastic in the discovery, planning, setup and delivery of our wedding - big thank you to Natasha and the team for making it such an easy process and such a fantastic day! The team handled all our questions with clarity and patience, and really did the most to make the vision of our wedding reception come to life. We came the day before with our family to decorate the Riding Hall (which is already stunning with thousands of twinkling lights) and we had a lot of freedom to do what we wanted with the place. Our families also stayed on the on-site AirBnBs and had the best time. On the day, the secret garden had a lot of use from our guests, who enjoyed playing games with live music outside. Our three course meal was absolutely fabulous and everyone loved it (the chef went the extra mile and even made us two some béarnaise sauce for our roast even though it wasn’t very traditional!). Overall, we had a really special time and made some wonderful memories at Thoresby - we couldn’t recommend this place more highly for a wedding. (Photography by Will Lomas)

Perfection from start to finish for our December wedding. We could not have asked for more from the admin staff, planners, caterers and front of house staff. The food was absolutely incredible as was the service. We came into wedding planning knowing very little but were guided by the staff which was most welcome. A million stars!

From our initial viewing to the big day the team at Newark Town Hall, Victoria especially made our rather bespoke day so special. They were so accommodating with our requests for a small and intimate ceremony and meal which meant our families were close and connected throughout the day which was our aim. The staff were friendly and professional and their support during the organisation was excellent, we really couldn’t think of a better value for money venue which gives a personal service and high quality food at a fraction of the cost of other exclusive use venues. Don’t be put off by the public element of being in the market square, parking nearby is easy and the venue hosts everything you need for a very special wedding.

Laura and Craig at brooksby were amazing! The ease of organisation was second to none. So helpful and professional, they really do know what they are doing. The set up was amazing and the day ran so smoothly. The venue itself is a hidden gem. With a church on site and beautiful grounds it has everything you need. Food provided was amazing (day and evening) venues in Leicester are limited but most of our guest had never been here or heard of Brooksby before and after viewing numerous venues it was a clear winner.

My husband and I absolutely loved our wedding day. If it wasn’t for my husbands American family coming over for the States we might have gone for a smaller wedding - but we’re so glad we made this choice & made it so special given it’s likely to be the only time both of our families would come together in full. We chose the Crescent on account of it being an hour from Sheffield (where we live), a beautiful hotel with great spa facilities for those who want to stay/enjoy a spa trip, but also it’s surrounded by b&bs/other cheaper hotels for any budget as required. For the American family, it was great for them to see the gorgeous town of Buxton & impressive architecture of the Crescent. The Assembly Rooms where the majority of the event takes place is truly stunning & gives a wow factor when you see the room. It also doesn’t need loads of “dressing” if you want to keep it simple/don’t want to spend budget for loads of decor. Nicole (wedding coordinator) was fabulous from the start, really helpful, informative, professional & quick to respond to any queries. We first came to look at the hotel a few years before the wedding took place - due to extensive house renovation work we ended up pushing back the provisional date twice before finally making the booking and confirming the spot. Given the time difference, the team were very fair in reevaluating the pricing for us so it wasn’t a huge jump. The food options on the day were fabulous, we had a 3 course meal for the wedding breakfast and a buffet in the evening which all went down well, all dietary reqs were catered for with ease. We had a champagne reception after the ceremony & extra his & hers cocktails for the drinks reception after the meal which weren’t cheap but were very good (whiskey sour & bramble cocktails). One slight critique is there was only 1 person on the bar downstairs so there was a bit of a wait at times for people to get drinks to rejoin the party. It didn’t distract from the day though. Other elements were very easy to arrange between suppliers, on the day whilst getting ready I didn’t have to worry or look at my phone once. The wedding suite was beautiful & a good size considering I had 5 adult bridesmaids & 2 flower girls under 5 all in there for hair & makeup! There was enough space & the room backdrop makes for beautiful photos like the rest of the hotel. All in all we were really impressed with the hotel & all of their support in hosting our wedding. Nicole is an asset to the team & felt more like one of the party than a supplier so huge thanks to her & the team she handed over to on the day itself. Value for money is hard to comment on given everyone’s view of value is different, but I’d say it definitely met the luxury, classic, sophisticated aesthetic & service without the cost associated with a celebrity/exclusive venue like a Middleton Lodge or Grantley Hall option. After the day my husband & I stayed an extra night, made full use of the freestanding bath in the room & spa facilities to unwind then left the day after. Looking back on it now I really wouldn’t have had it any other way & wish I could re-live it.

Abbie literally saved my wedding! Our original venue cancelled 10 weeks before our wedding … I spoke to Abbie at the Beonna, she was really helpful & told us what options we had … The Beonna is a lovely venue - I’m pleased our original venue cancelled … Our wedding pictures look amazing!
