Dalton Old Pump House is a historic wedding venue situated in Seaham, in Durham, England. This Grade II listed building dates back to 1873 and was designed by the renowned engineer, Thomas Hawksley. It has been reimagined in recent years as a sophisticated, modern wedding venue steeped in Victorian character and architectural detail. The charming exterior is defined by traditional brickwork and grand steps at the entrance. Inside, modern accents blend seamlessly with original details to create a unique, upscale space that is ideal for wedding celebrations.
Facilities and Capacity
Dalton Old Pump House has a capacity for between 50 and 230 guests. Legal ceremonies take place in-house by durham registry office. Once you have said ‘I do’, guests can sip Pimms and prosecco and soak up the historic elegance of this unique building while socialising together. The Boiler Room is the main event space and is characterised by elegant chandeliers, exposed brick, and romantic greenery and florals. Here, receptions and wedding breakfasts are curated to reflect your tastes and preferences. PERFECT wedding venue!
This is the place to get married!
From our very first look around we were made to feel very special, the owners vicky and ian put so much passion and love into lady dalton. They are beaming with pride and rightly so! what an amazing team, from the chef and servers to wedding co-ordinators a special mention for Emma is needed here, thanks to her our day was smooth running and without fault. Jordan the bar manager was very friendly and kept our guests refreshed throughout the day .
The food was just incredibly deliscious and the presentation was out of this world, the venue is elegant and definalty has the wow factor .
We went with the dalton package and this was just everything we could have asked for and more. Our guests are still talking about how much of a fantastic day they all had almost 3 weeks later.
There is no faults they are professional and clearly love what they do as a team. I hope to one day attend a wedding here as a guest.
So from the bottoms of our hearts thank you to Vicky, Ian, Emma and the rest of the team at Dalton old pumphouse for the best day of our lives.
