Your Perfect Ceremony Setting
Whether you're dreaming of an intimate indoor ceremony or a magical outdoor moment, Tawstock Court has options to suit every style. Exchange vows in the elegant Panelled Hall, where carved wooden pillars and an open fireplace create an unforgettable atmosphere for up to 100 guests. Step outside and choose between the enchanting 16th-century Elizabethan Gatehouse with its original wooden doors, or our stunning Balustrade fountain terrace — with views across the valley to Codden Hill that will leave your guests speechless. St Peter's Church is even just a two-minute stroll from the garden, perfect for couples wanting a traditional church ceremony.
Celebrate in Style
After the ceremony, your guests can explore the grounds, enjoy welcome drinks by the fountain, or settle into our warm and inviting front rooms and lounges. The iconic Lantern Staircase, Courtyard, and ancient woodlands offer endless opportunities for those photographs you'll treasure forever.
When it's time to dine, The Old Refectory — with its stunning parquet floor, reclaimed wood feature wall, and twinkling lights — accommodates up to 108 guests for your wedding breakfast, and transforms effortlessly into an evening party space with room for a live band or disco.
Looking for something a little extra? Head to the Gatsby-inspired Clutterbuck Bar for cocktails, enjoy a game of pool or table tennis in our games room, or let guests unwind under the canopy of lights in our magical Courtyard — complete with ambient lighting, a decking area and swinging chairs. End the evening with a spectacular fireworks send-off for a truly unforgettable finale.

We believe your wedding should be entirely yours, which is why we offer complete flexibility when it comes to catering. Choose from our carefully selected list of trusted local suppliers, or opt for one of our inclusive packages. From elegant à la carte dining to relaxed hog roasts and food vans — whatever your vision, we'll help make it happen.
After an evening to remember, up to 45 guests can stay onsite in our comfortable accommodation, located right beside the main house. Your Honeymoon Suite includes a beautiful get-ready area to start your day in style, and the morning after, guests are treated to a full English breakfast served in the main house.

The most perfect day.
There are plenty of rooms to make use of, which are all beautiful. The views outside are stunning which is great for pictures.
We had quite a few guests stay at the accommodation of the venue, and we had lots of comments on how lovely the rooms were. The honeymoon suite is such a lovely room, with plenty of space for bridal prep with good lighting.
Laura is such a lovely lady and nothing was too much trouble for her. She went above and beyond to ensure we had the best day.
We wish we could do it all over again!

Perfect Devon Venue
The accommodation has been finished to a brilliant standard, all of our guests loved their stay, and all commented on how stunning their rooms (and the views) were. The honeymoon suite is extra special, and is perfectly set up for hair and makeup on the morning, with lots of space and great lighting.
We can’t thank Laura and her team enough for all of their support on the day, everything ran so smoothly and we’ve lost count of the number of lovely comments we’ve had regarding the venue! So thank you for making our day so special, not just for us but all of our guests too!
The perfect wedding venue
This was the first and only wedding venue we looked at, it was love at first sight! It is just as beautiful inside as it out. Unfortunately lockdown hit a month before our wedding and if it weren’t for how supportive, understanding and kind Laura had been through it we would have struggled with the postponement. With Laura’s help we decided to have a small wedding last minute in September and we couldn’t have wished for a better day! The venue has multiple spots in which to hold the ceremony so when the forecast was sunny we quickly changed it to an outside wedding. Despite having to scale back our plans we were able to keep in line with the government guidelines and have a safe wedding without worry.
For any couples thinking of viewing/booking, a few of Tawstock’s highlights -
The space is fantastically flexible, I was surprised at how well it worked for a small wedding after booking it with a big wedding in mind
The bar is beautiful! Center of the venue with sofas and a fire.
Lots of accommodation including the honeymoon suite which is big enough and well equipped for bridal prep.
Breakfast the next morning was SO yummy! We followed it with a walk around the surrounding woods.
Laura put us first, she worked so hard to make the day possible and run smoothly, I can’t thank her and her team enough! X
