Clandon Park

You may have exclusive use of Clandon Park for a reception, celebration meal and dancing after a religious or civil marriage elsewhere, or you may have a civil ceremony performed here in the Tapestry Room.

No other functions will take place on the day of your wedding.

The Tapestry Room can accommodate 120 guests for a civil ceremony, after which you and your guests can enjoy drinks and canapes in the Marble Hall, which can comfortably hold over 200 people. Upto to 130 guests can dine in the restaurant situated in the vaulted undercroft of the mansion, with larger numbers catered for in a marquee on the East Lawn. Dancing takes place in the marquee itself or in the Stable Room if you are dining in the restaurant.

The spectacular interiors of this fine stately home mean that you have plenty of photo opportunities even if the weather prevents you from spending long in the lovely grounds.

We offer a full wedding service and tailor each wedding day to your specific requirements.

      Amazing day
We were recently married here in July 2011. We couldn't have asked for a better day! Everything from start to finish was excellent and I can't recommend the venue, staff and location highly enough! The staff really do look after you from first minute to last, and are extremely attentive and cater for your needs. The food was just what we hoped for. As it is a National Trust property, the grounds are beautiful and maintained to a very high standard. The architecture of the buildiing is stunning and the venue was just perfect for us, as we had about 70 guests, which increased to about 100 in the evening. All in all, a great day - thank you Clandon Park!

Excellent venue giving fantastic photo opportunities
We married at Clandon in autumn 2005 and loved every minute. The staff were fantastic both in the planning of the day and its execution. We have glorious photos both inside, particularly in the marble hall, and outside in the grounds. The food was lovely and the only reservation I could make is that the restaurant is a little small if you have lots of guests. Clandon were very flexible about the wedding breakfast menu which we appreciated. On the day the staff managed to be discreet yet so welcoming - they even insisted we sit quietly with a glass of champagne when our guests went down to be seated and we really appreciated that time to take in what was happening - just the two of us. All our guests were so impressed with the venue and we treasure our photographs. One word of warning - do not do as we did and book the Talbot House Hotel in Ripley for your first night - they completely ruined our wedding night by locking us out at 11.30pm!, ''forgetting'' our champagne, flowers and breakfast, then charged us twice for the pleasure! They were rude when we complained and made it difficult to get a refund on being overcharged. It is a shame there is no accommodation at Clandon but there are plenty of places to stay in Guildford for you and your guests.

A stunning venue, superb food and brilliant staff
Clandon Park is a fabulous looking venue which was really important for us and our photos. Although it looks really formal we were totally relaxed on the day. This was due to the amount of work put in by the staff. We felt totally confident that everything was under control. The restaurant was great, really slick service and excellent food. We've had so many letters and comments from guests telling us how impressed they were with Clandon Park. I never write reviews but felt compelled to recommend the venue to anyone I can!

A superb venue with friendly staff who helped to make our day really special.
Could not have picked a more perfect venue. The house is stunning and the grounds just beautiful. The staff were hugely helpful through the planning process and on the day they really contributed to making it a very special day. The food was superb and you really could not fault anything about the place and we are VERY picky
