Where do we start… We had the perfect day at Llangoed Hall celebrating our September wedding. There’s not many things in life that give you butterflies in your tummy but every time we think about our wedding it does just that. It was perfect from start to finish and we wouldn’t have changed a thing! We were lucky enough to spend the night before our wedding here too, enjoying the build up with our family and friends and it allowed us to decorate everything ourselves and not have the stress of doing everything in the morning. We also all enjoyed an evening meal and then headed to the snooker room! Llangoed hall is beautiful both in the sunshine and rain (one of the main reasons we picked it as ‘You can’t rely on the Welsh weather!’), but we managed to have the sun which allowed us to enjoy the beautiful gardens and grounds and have the most amazing photos. Inside is equally as beautiful and plenty big enough to accommodate everyone (90 in total). We had canapés and drinks outside where the younger ones could run around and enjoy themselves, and then inside for our delicious wedding breakfast (the food was amazing!). Then the party with the band Northern Ruins and the Mid Wales Roadshow in the evening. It was the perfect end to the day . We honestly couldn’t recommend Llangoed Hall enough. It really was the dream wedding venue. The rooms are all individually designed by Laura Ashley and all have such a homely feel. We will forever be grateful for being able to get married there I and can’t thank everyone at Llangoed enough. Abbie was brilliant and any question that we had , she would reply immediately to, which really did help make the planning so easy and stress free. Abbie you are made for this job! We can’t wait to come back for our anniversary next year and also for the Christmas market next month. Llangoed is just magical and will always have a special place in our hearts. It was a dream come true and felt like our home for the weekend with having exclusive use for the two days 🥰☺️. We will never be able to thank you all enough.

My partner and I married in July this year. We have been together since 2010, became parents and for engaged in 2021 so felt it may be time after 14 years!

The nitty gritty details first - we had it booked for 9 months from the day. We opted for an intimate day wedding for 20 (4 kids extra outside of this so had kids food) and an evening of an extra 30 or so.

We also purchased exclusive use which meant we had the venue, and all 23 rooms, to ourselves AND breakfast for all guests the next morning.

Intimate package - which includes three course meal, some little nibbles, champagne, a few extra drinks and 12 or so bottles of wine on the table and use of the venue - £2995
Kids menu - £25 a head
To use the venue for the ceremony - £150
Evening pizza - £12 a head

Drinks at the venue were reasonable too, nothing like the price you'd expect looking at the luxury of the venue!

We had never seen a wedding venue before and we (well, I!) came across Llangoed Hall on Hitched, after a long... Long long search. Online it looked great and a very reasonable price attached and so we went to see.

When we arrived, the venue looked like a beautiful old manor house, with moss growing along the walls and the grounds blooming in August 2023. Abbie showed us around and my partner was speechless, which doesn't happen often. We saw Pizza was an evening option too and so we decided there and then to book - we didn't need to see anywhere else.

Abbie was incredible through the whole process and we booked to marry in March, 2024. During that time, we had our trial wedding breakfast, I took my mum and sisters down to see the venue and Abbie was welcoming, showed everyone around and made time for us each time we visited - which was at least 5 times between August and March. She would respond quickly to messages and is incredibly knowledgeable about her venue!

Unfortunately, the day before the wedding was due to take place, my son was admitted to hospital. We contacted Abbie and she sent her number and was messaging about our son, checking in to see how he was doing and how we were. When he felt better, she went on to send a message listing all the next available dates that year so we could rearrange.

The day before the second wedding, Abbie had told me that she'd arranged for the our initial cake to be remade as a suprise, and had made a dozen cupcakes, too! She has from start to finish been exceptional and we would not have gotten married if it wasn't for her.

We had the most perfect outdoor wedding and a wonderful evening at the manor. It's the perfect setting for any fairy tale wedding and I cannot recommend the venue, and Abbie, enough. You won't find better than Llangoed and if you are looking for a magical setting in a gorgeous, private, location, you won't find better. It's perfect in every way ❤️

We had the most amazing wedding day and weekend at Llangoed Hall.

We searched the country for our wedding venue as we had such specific requirements - we wanted intimate spaces, yet somewhere big enough for our evening party band. We wanted exclusive use and something we could spend the weekend in, and big enough for majority of our guests to stay. We wanted an outdoor wedding so beautiful gardens, but an equally nice indoor option (as you can’t depend on the British summer). And most importantly for us, anything but that ‘wedding factory’ feel. Llangoed Hall ticked every box and more.

The first time we pulled up and saw how amazing the house is we were crossing our fingers that this was our venue. Once walking inside and seeing the spaces, we were hooked. The bedrooms are all stunning and so unique and we loved hearing from our friends and family how their room was the nicest. The space for the wedding breakfast has beautiful light and feels so intimate and yet sat all of our 60 guests with ease!

We were also lucky enough to get married on the lawn and have photos in the gardens. We loved using the spaces in the house for different parts of the wedding - the blue room for breakfast in the mornings, the games room for the men to get ready in, the lounge for our cake cutting, and the garden room for our wedding breakfast and evening party.

We cannot speak highly enough of both Abbie and Jeremy who really are the heart and soul of Llangoed Hall and ensured that our weekend went perfectly. Even when things behind the scenes didn’t go perfectly (staff calling in sick), Abbie and Jeremy did not falter and we had no idea until the next day! We also loved hearing about the history of the house from them!

Living over two hours away from the venue, we were in constant communication with Abbie who put any concerns we had at ease and answered any questions big or small we had about the planning of the weekend. You can tell she does this in her sleep and we felt totally at ease.

The food was beautiful the entire weekend. From our ladies meal the night before (the men enjoyed a meal at the pub in Hay-on-Wye), the wedding breakfast and evening food - the pizzas went down a treat! To the breakfasts - it was all faultless.

Llangoed Hall really felt like a home away from home and this was what we were searching for when choosing our wedding venue. All of our guests loved it and we cannot wait to return for afternoon tea!

My husband and I had our wedding at Llangoed Hall in Oct 2022. We were unfortunately one of those couple who had to deal with covid postponing and international restrictions for guest. The team at Llangoed were brilliant making the changes so easily and always having a relaxed no hassle nature which eased our minds.

I cannot praise the location, accomondation, grounds, food and staff enough! A group of us made a weekend of the wedding and stayed a few extra nights just to enjoy the food and luxury. It was honestly the best day/weekend of our lives and beyond what we ever imagined. Our guest are still raving about it and how much they all enjoyed themselves.

We can't wait to go back and visit for our anniversary, just to enjoy Llangoed Hall and all it has to offer again.

I honestly fell in love with Llangoed Hall as soon as I saw it and knew this is where I wanted my wedding venue to be. The house is immaculate, with attention to detail everywhere you look. The staff were incredibly helpful and nothing was too much to ask for. I could have everything I wanted and they accommodated for everything.
Jess l, the wedding planner made sure that we had everything we needed and was there to help the day before to make sure everything was exactly right so I didn’t have anything to worry about on the day.
Everything ran like clockwork on the day. Nothing was out of place, the cocktails and canapés were ready for when you returned from the church and everyone felt right at home.
The food was incredible, we got to choose what we wanted and it was better than we could’ve imagined. The beef wellington was better than the one I had at Gordon Ramsey’s restaurant. Every plate came out to the highest of standard!
The evening was perfect! Enough space for everyone to socialise and dance with the DJ playing and easy access to the outdoor area where we had a gazebo. (Again, no trouble in adding a gazebo and DJ, the venue is very accommodating) Even at the end of the night when staff were cleaning up they helped my dad look for his wedding ring!
The bar was well stocked with lots of options and everyone made very good use of it!
We had fireworks at the end of the night, again no issues with us having these and it looked incredible within the grounds of the house.
We hired out the whole venue so didn’t have to worry too much about noise and going to bed, some were still using the gazebo until 4am!
The wedding breakfast the next morning was again served to the highest of standards and enjoyed greatly by everyone who had stayed.
The rooms are spectacular and all designed differently! I would have loved to have stayed in each one. The honeymoon suite was perfect, just wished we had more time in the room!
If we were to get married again I would 100% choose this venue again.

The venue is an absolute golden gem of a find. Staff were outstanding. Guests were in awe of the venue. We hired exclusively for two days and would recommend to anyone to do the same instead of going to the Gower where it would cost what we paid for one day and we had two. An absolute amazing venue highly recommend to any couple.

We got married at Llangoed Hall on 23 April 2016 and have just returned for a two night stay marking our first anniversary. We could not have chosen a better venue for our wedding and everything went like clockwork due to the marvellous staff, particularly Lynsey and Brian and the chef. Our guests came from as far away as Germany and Cornwall and everyone says what happy memories they have of the day. We enjoyed the same high standards on our return - the staff really cannot do enough for you and are all so charming. The restaurant is superb! We will most definitely be returning.
