Minterne House was the most extraordinary setting for our wedding in May! The historic home and the beautiful gardens truly set the tone that we desired for our special day. We stayed in the house for a few days and it was so amazing to wake up in the gorgeous bedrooms; our extended family also stayed in the cottages on the property and raved about them. In addition, the staff was incredibly helpful and responsive; we are from New York City and they made planning from abroad very easy. I HIGHLY recommend Minterne House for a wedding, our guests were blown away and we will never forget our special day at the home.

We cannot recommend Minterne House enough as a perfect wedding venue! Emily and the team were so so helpful from start to finish, from the first call we had with her we just knew how great she was going to be to work with! Throughout the wedding weekend she was there for anything we needed and we truly know our weekend would not have gone as perfectly and smoothly as it did without Emily!
Minterne is such a gorgeous venue, we have had endless compliments from our guests about how beautiful a backdrop the house is for a wedding weekend. Having the house to yourself for the full weekend meant we could start the celebrations early on Friday with all of our guests, and we had so many of our loved ones staying in the house and on the grounds.
It really was a perfect weekend and we can't thank Emily, The Digby family and the whole team and Minterne enough !!!

As a Minterne Magna girl myself, I truly couldn’t imagine getting married anywhere else. Our day was an absolute dream from start to finish. Emily was incredible—calm, reassuring, and endlessly accommodating. Nothing was ever too much trouble, and she made the months leading up to the wedding, as well as the day itself, feel effortless. Honestly couldn’t recommend Minterne house enough from start to finish they were perfect, I felt at ease with Emily from the off and she helped plan our day and sorted timelines and dealt with our vendors for us which helped to ease the stress.Our day truly was our fairly tail and more and the bonus feeling like a princess having private use of the house the whole weekend. The grounds and venue have given us the most perfect photos and memories to treasure forever and all our guest couldn’t believe how beautiful it all was.

Minterne House was the perfect backdrop to our fairytale autumn wedding. Having the venue for the entire weekend made the experience truly special — many of our family and friends were able to stay, and we spent the Friday setting up together before relaxing and enjoying the beautiful facilities of the estate, including the pool, hot tub, and gardens. That evening we shared dinner and drinks, which made it feel as though the celebrations had already begun.

The wedding day itself was absolutely exquisite, and we received so many compliments from our guests on how stunning the venue was.

From our very first meeting she made us feel welcome and completely at ease, always going above and beyond to accommodate our every need. Minterne House is a beautiful venue, the grounds, the house itself, the history. What made it so much more was Emily and the team. Emily was our wedding planner on the day and went above and beyond to make our day seamless. Our day, from start to finish was faultless and we could not of done it without her. Lord Digby welcomed us into his home which we will be forever grateful for.

The first time we visited Minterne House it was a miserable rainy day in January - despite the weather we knew it was perfect.

The house is absolutely breathtaking and steeped in history, but still has a comforting homely feel.

We took advantage of the beautiful interior and had our wedding breakfast inside. The high ceilings and double height windows made it feel beautifully open and airy. With 90 guests it felt wonderfully intimate at the same time. We took advantage of the balcony and staircase to make an entrance into our wedding breakfast, which felt incredibly unique.

The reception rooms and front lawn are both perfect options for the drinks reception, so whether it’s sunny or rainy it’s utterly perfect.

Along with using the main house we also had guests in Lady Jane’s Apartment and Churchill House. Both are beautifully designed (with extremely comfortable beds) and have everything you could wish for - including rather delicious biscuits!

The whole team were incredibly accommodating, Lord Digby was always on hand for the duration of our stay - whether it be wifi or heating questions.

Finally, our day wouldn’t have been as spectacular without the phenomenal support of Emily (Emily Rose Wedding and Events), Minterne House’s Wedding Planner. From liaising with all of our suppliers, to setting up our time plan, to answering all of our questions in the lead up she was just incredible.

On the day it felt like having a friend guide us through the various moments and make sure all was on track.

Everything was completely perfect and we couldn’t have wished for a better day with a better team!

The most stunning venue and gardens this location truly is magical and we had the best wedding day here with the sun shining surrounded by stunning countryside views. The grounds are beautiful and the house is so smart it really is something special. We stayed in the flat within the house and it was so clean and spacious it had everything we needed and so handy for the big day. The bridal suite was gorgeous with even more beautiful views across the gardens and lawn felt like something from a period drama! The wedding planner Emily was amazing and so helpful from start to finish professional and friendly. She was straight back to us when we needed her and made sure everything was perfect for us. We had an incredible experience and just want to do it all over again now! Guests and friends have commented on how amazed they were by the venues beauty and uniqueness and the day as a whole, it was seamless. Wish we could do it all over again! Thank you

My wife and I had our wedding reception at Minterne House on August 26, 2023.

The venue - Minterne House is an absolutely stunning venue, rich in both decadence and history, and was the perfect location for our wedding reception. As you meander up the drive you are instantly taken by the building and its surrounding landscape, a sentiment often repeated to us by our guests on the day, and that theme continues throughout as you explore the various rooms.

We had access to the property for the weekend and were able to utilise both the gardens and the various rooms for the entirety of our stay there, making it almost feel like a home away from home!

And for those having a church wedding - St Mary's in Cerne Abbas is a beautiful church and was only bested by the vicar and the surrounding community. Attending service there in the months running up to the wedding was a pleasure and made the whole process extra special.

Staff - The staff at Minterne House were extremely accommodating, particularly in the days running up to the wedding. They were happy to help wherever they could, even coming to the rescue to help with some last minute transport issues! Both Lord Digby and his staff should be extremely proud of what they do. A special thank you goes out to Georgina, who was so incredibly helpful during the whole process.

Overall, my wife and I could not recommend Minterne House enough! It was such a special day and we will be returning to the venue and its beautiful gardens in the near future.

We had the most magical weekend at Minterne. The venue itself is spectacular and you will struggle to find anywhere half as magical but the whole team made the day so amazing. We were all so well looked after and everyone went above and beyond to make sure we enjoyed ourselves.
