Where to begin?! Getting married at Ellingham Hall was the best experience of our lives! From viewing the venue for the first time to receiving a follow-up call a few days afterwards, at every step of the way, we were made to feel like the venue existed just for us! The quality of the service given to us by every member of staff we encountered was second to none. We made people aware that we had booked an award winning venue and once you have been through the whole process and got married, you can clearly see why! Our wedding co-ordinator Beth felt more like a friend than someone who was doing her job and she was seriously top quality by calming any nerves, planning all the little touches, delivering drinks and breakfasts, even steaming dresses for us! The multiple phone-calls and correspondence throughout the build-up was fantastic! Debbie checking in on us before check-out was a lovely touch and the pride that the team have in the venue they run is evident for all to see. Operations Manager Hanna and the member of the team who was assisting with check-in, taking photos and serving the wedding breakfast also left a big impression! From the groundsman and night porter to the kitchen, bar and floor staff and everyone else behind the scenes, every one of the team’s presence was felt even though they were in the background, quietly ensuring the event went as planned. If any couples read this during their wedding search please do yourself a favour and at the very least, check Ellingham Hall out if not choose them!, we’re still on a high a week later! All of our guests were blown away by the venue and were full of compliments. Our hearts left even fuller than they did when we arrived, our bearded dragon and golden retriever were able to play their starring roles and nothing we requested was unachievable. Thank you Ellingham Hall, it was the best wedding we’ve ever been to! 😉❤️

We had a magical Christmas wedding on 23rd December in the great hall with the open fire lit. Our wedding experience with Jesmond Dent house was wonderful from planning to the big day itself. Our planner was amazing; nothing was ever a problem for her. The food was second to none and the staff were always friendly and helpful. The only niggle from our experience was the chef who was incredibly unhelpful when we asked for something a little nicer than sorbet or fresh fruit for dessert for my lactose intolerant maid of honour. The manager did however make a personal apology to us later. Overall, I wouldn't have changed our venue for anything. We are spending our first wedding anniversary there for an overnight stay.

Shotton Grange was the dream venue for us, couldn't imagine anywhere more perfect! Thank you to the whole team from the initial meeting and looking around for the first time through to our amazing wedding day!! Words cannot describe how amazing our day was. We are so glad we found Shotton Grange, it's the most beautiful, perfect venue. So glad we could get married outside. It looked beautiful. We have had so many compliments from guests about the venue/outdoor areas as well as how good the food was both day and night. Loved the garden games which kept both kids and adults entertained. Particular thanks to our masters of ceremonies who was absolutely fantastic; so lovely as well as a true professional and kept the day on track and true to what wanted. I honestly don’t know where to start. What an incredible place with even more incredible staff. My wedding day couldn’t have been any more perfect thanks to this unbelievable venue and people. From the moment we booked this venue we knew we had made the right choice. We were looked after by Paige, our wedding coordinator who was always there if we had a question or decision to make. She helped planned our perfect day and we are very grateful for that! A special shoutout goes to Jamie, our wedding manager, and Amy. There are not enough words to cover how grateful we are that you both played such an integral part in our wedding day. Jamie and Amy made sure every single part of the wedding was set up beautifully and ran smoothly. We were in safe hands. Throughout the day, Jamie was there to look after us, kept us laughing and genuinely made us feel like royalty. Lartington Hall are unbelievably lucky to have two very special staff members who are dedicated to their job. All our guests and suppliers have complimented the staff on how attentive, polite and hard working they were. The staff truly made our day perfect. The venue is STUNNING, it’s clean and completely breathtaking. I am gutted I cannot attend again unless of course my friends or family pick this 10/10 venue! The food was sooo lovely and presented beautifully! Take a bow Lartington - a venue like NO OTHER!! I cannot fault anything. The best day of our lives. We were married at Matfen on 14th March 2020 and we couldn’t have picked a more perfect venue. It was the first venue we saw, and from the moment we stepped into the Great Hall we knew it was the one for us. It’s such a romantic setting and the new refurbishments only add to the wonderful charm of Matfen Hall. Laura, our wedding coordinator was so helpful and lovely throughout the whole planning process and she was always there to answer my millions of questions. The day before our wedding (the dreaded Friday 13th) we found out our honeymoon was cancelled (we were due to fly the day after our wedding), so there was a lot of running around trying to sort things out. When we finally arrived at Matfen - later than we had hoped - we were feeling stressed and a bit deflated, but Max (our brilliant Master of Ceremonies), told us they were giving us the bridal suite for an extra night – such a kind and thoughtful gesture which was greatly appreciated and shows just how much they care. The day itself was wonderful – everything went smoothly (massive thanks to Max for that) – the staff were brilliant and the food delicious. Max went above and beyond for us, even manning the photo booth later in the evening, she truly made it a completely stress free day! We can’t wait to visit Matfen Hall again and look forward to putting our lock on the bridge! Thanks again to all the staff for making our day so magical! Love Mr & Mrs Dixon

Thank you to everyone at Eshott for a magical wedding weekend. It was everything we hoped it would be and the location, the helpful staff and of course the amazing sunny spring weather made it perfect! We love the hall, it’s like home from home, the rooms are gorgeous and the grounds and the Reading Room are so beautiful. Walking down the drive to the ceremony at the Reading Room made it even more special. On the morning of my wedding I opened my curtains to see rabbits playing on the lawn, blue tits flying by singing and the sun shining through the trees – couldn’t have been better! All of our guests loved the hall too so everyone had a fantastic time. We are very happy that we picked Eshott Hall for our wedding and would recommend it to anyone else who would like a picture perfect, relaxed country house wedding in the most lovely county in England.
