Facilities and Capacity
With a license to host your civil ceremony in the galleried Grand Hall, The Lawn boasts the ability to host your entire day. With its gracious sweeping staircase only adding to the sense of occasion, the Grand Hall is the perfect setting for one of the most special moments of your life. This gives to-be-weds a breathtaking entrance to the ceremony and an unbelievable photo opportunity.
Alternatively, you could enjoy a true English country garden wedding in the gorgeous gazebo. Nestled away in the gardens, its backdrop boasts unspoilt views across the romantic Rose Garden – a truly iconic setting for your special day.
The glorious Orangery is the perfect place to host your wedding breakfast, lovingly prepared in its own kitchens by an in-house team of hugely talented chefs. Seamlessly and sympathetically blended with the Georgian architecture of the main house, it is a gorgeous, light-flooded space with dramatic garden views and full air-conditioning.
The Orangery opens out onto the expansive covered terrace, where you will find the Summer Terrace Bar. You may party the night away on the dance floor, in the main bar, and in the Grand Hall. If it all gets a bit too much, rest your weary feet in a comfy armchair in the Blue Drawing Room. All these areas connect and are centred on the Grand Hall, so your party flows beautifully with everything working together seamlessly through to your big send-off at midnight.

Throughout the planning process, the staff of The Lawn will be by your side. On the day, these professionals will be there to welcome you in the morning and see you to the two lovely, large get-ready rooms where you can prepare and relax.

A perfect Wedding
Every detail was executed as we asked, our photographer and band found dealing with the staff at the lawn effortless meaning that by the time we arrived there were no questions left to answer.
The bar staff were friendly throughout the evening with swift service throughout
The food is truly restaurant quality and with our unique request it was delivered absolutely perfectly, our Vegan and Gluten Free guests were catered for without hesitation.
There is simply no better venue. We had 100 for the breakfast and a further 20 join us in the evening.
What more can I say! This place hosted the biggest bad best day of our lives and the entire Lawn team helped make it so!

The team are also amazing, I was a nervous bride before I got married and the team were so helpful with all my questions, not to mention how many guests were complimenting how smooth the wedding day went because of their amazing service. They really do everything they can to put you at ease from start to finish. Couldn’t recommend The Lawn enough!
Wedding 2025
The grounds itself are a sight to be hold, inside and outside. You can capture some beautiful pictures with family and friends, around the entire venue.
The catering was lovely also, with staff making sure everything ran smoothly throughout. I had plenty of guests come to me with lots of greats things to say about the food. The range of food choices is also really good as it is accommodating to everyone including those with specific dietary choices and needs.
I would definitely use the venue again. It’s a great place run by great people.
The Lawn, Rochford – Our Perfect Wedding Venue
What stood out most was how personalised the whole experience felt. It didn’t feel like we were just another wedding on the books – it felt like our day, completely tailored to us. Every little detail was thought of, and nothing was too much trouble.
On the day itself, I was running late getting ready, but at no point did anyone pressure me or my hair and makeup team to hurry up. Instead, they just quietly ensured everything was still running smoothly in the background. Their priority was always making sure we had the perfect day – and we really, really did.
One of the most touching moments was just after we got married, when they allowed us to have a quiet drink alone together as a newly married couple before the meal. That little breather meant so much and showed just how thoughtful and experienced the team are.
Our wedding wasn’t entirely traditional – we had a brass band, and a Christian Russian Orthodox wedding ceremony after the legal marriage – and The Lawn welcomed all of it with warmth and complete flexibility. Nothing phased them. They were so accommodating with every aspect of the day.
David and the entire team were just incredible. I sent many long and detailed emails in the lead-up, and every single one was answered with care and attention. They made us feel heard, understood, and totally supported every step of the way.
It’s a family-run venue and you can absolutely feel that. Their pride, passion, and attention to detail shine through in everything they do – from their amazing team to their recommended suppliers, all of whom were brilliant too.
We’re honestly so sad we don’t get to keep liaising with them anymore! We are so deeply grateful to The Lawn for making our day so special. It was truly the perfect day, and that was because of them.
Beautiful venue, incredible team, personalised service, very reasonably priced – what more could you ask for?

Amazing and caring team with a beautiful venue
From the minute we met we both felt at ease and confident our day would run smoothly, no question or request was too large.
They went above and beyond for us and it was truly appreciated, everyone has commented on the beauty of the venue as well as how smoothly and effortless the day ran.
We would honestly recommend the lawn for anyone looking for a venue to host a celebration - the venue is beautiful and the staff are absolutely amazing.

Best Day Ever
I always knew I wanted to get married at the lawn as my own parents married here 24 years ago, I was 12 years old. 4 years later Matt and I got together and finally after 20 years we had our own special day at the lawn.
Everything from the planning beforehand, adapting the menus so everyone could eat the same including anyone with dietary requirements to how everything kept to schedule.
I was an emotional wreck most of the morning getting ready but you made sure I did not have to worry about anything downstairs and when I finally got to see everything I was blown away.
A special thank you to David, Michael and Lizzie. You are brilliant at what you do.
The caterers and waiting staff were amazing. The food came out all at the same time, was hot and extremely tasty. The staff serving were so kind and accommodating.
This day was long overdue but we were lucky our children got to share it with us like I got to with my parents and you all made it the best day which we will never ever forget. My parents said the high standards you set on Saturday was exactly the same when they got married and it really is the best place to get married so anyone looking for a place to have their wedding and reception book in quick you will not be disappointed.
