A huge and heartfelt thank you to the entire team at Merrydale Manor for giving us the most perfect wedding day. From our very first visit right through to checking out the morning after our wedding, we were made to feel so incredibly looked after. Every single person we encountered was warm, kind and genuinely invested in making sure we and our guests had the best day possible.

Merrydale itself is absolutely beautiful. The grounds and spaces are stunning and it really is the most special setting for a wedding. But as beautiful as the venue is, what truly makes Merrydale exceptional is the people behind it.

The whole operation runs unbelievably smoothly. The team are always two or three steps ahead of you, yet somehow you never feel rushed or like you’re being moved through a schedule. More importantly, you never once feel like ‘just another wedding’. Everything felt completely personal to us, and on the day we were able to completely switch off and enjoy every second because we had total confidence in the people around us.

We have to give special mention to the members of the Merrydale team who made such a big impact for us and truly deserve the recognition. Firstly, the biggest thank you to our on-the-day coordinators, Claire and Chloe. We had high expectations, but they completely exceeded them. They are quite simply amazing at what they do and are such a huge part of what made our day as perfect as it was.

Nothing was ever too much. They kept everything flowing effortlessly, dealt with everything calmly and went above and beyond at every opportunity, we honestly couldn’t believe just how much they did for us. They also worked so harmoniously with all of our suppliers, whether they knew Merrydale inside out or were working at the venue for the first time. We felt completely supported by them from beginning to end and will always be so grateful for the part they played in our day.

Another huge thank you has to go to Cameron, Head of Bar Operations. From the planning stages onwards, nothing was ever too much trouble for him. He went above and beyond to help us curate a drinks package that felt completely ‘us’, while using his experience to guide us on the elements where we needed a little direction. On the day itself he was so attentive, constantly checking in and making sure we were extremely well looked after. We felt incredibly supported by him throughout and he played such an important part in making the whole experience feel so special.

We’d also love to thank Robyn, who gave us our very first showround and was there at the beginning of our Merrydale journey, and Stefan, our brilliant toastmaster, who was truly exceptional and a complete credit to the Merrydale Manor experience. And to the entire Merrydale team – thank you. Every interaction we had was a reminder of just how good this team is.

It’s difficult to put into words how grateful we are. Our wedding genuinely could not have gone better, and so much of that is down to the care, professionalism and sheer hard work of everyone at Merrydale.

We would choose Merrydale again in a heartbeat. It gave us everything we hoped our wedding would be and more, and we will always be incredibly grateful to the team for giving us a day we’ll never forget.

We got married at Merrydale Manor in August, and from the moment we booked the venue right through to our big day, everything was absolutely perfect 💫 The whole team were incredible — so helpful, professional and friendly throughout the entire process. Nothing was ever too much trouble, and they went above and beyond to make sure everything ran smoothly and that we could simply relax and enjoy every moment of our wedding day! The venue itself is absolutely gorgeous, and the grounds are beautifully kept. It really is such a stunning setting, and all of our guests commented on how beautiful the venue was🫶🏼 One of the things that made our day even more special was being able to have our dog Tank there to share it with us. We were so happy that he could be included in our big day, and, as expected, he completely stole the show and was definitely the star of the day! 🐾🤍 We had the most amazing day and couldn’t have wished for a better place to celebrate our wedding. A huge thank you to the entire team at Merrydale Manor for helping make our day so special and memorable. I’d just like to say a huge, huge thank you to all of you for making our day the very best it could be. Merrydale Manor is honestly the venue of our dreams, and we had the most amazing couple of days there.

We haven’t received all of our photos and videos back yet, but I’ll be sure to tag Merrydale on social media when we do. We also have lots of reviews to write for all of our wonderful vendors, including yourselves, so please bear with us, but we will definitely be leaving one!

Robyn, thank you for being my go-to lady throughout the lead-up to the wedding. I must have been doing your absolute head in with my million questions, but thank you for always being so kind, patient and supportive throughout the whole process. Nothing ever seemed too much trouble, and your reassurance along the way meant so much.

Claire & Drew, you girls absolutely smashed it out of the park on the day. We couldn’t have asked for better people to have by our side. You made us feel so at ease from start to finish, even when we were trying to dodge the rain and track down my dad for the reveal! We will be forever grateful for everything you did for us. You made sure everything ran smoothly, and your kindness, patience, support and attention to detail truly meant the world to us.

Thank you to each and every person who played a part in making our wedding so incredible. There are so many staff members and so much work that goes into creating just one day, but for us it was the biggest and best day of our lives, and we’ll never forget it.

From the moment we first viewed Merrydale Manor, we knew it was somewhere special, but our wedding day exceeded every expectation.

The venue itself is absolutely stunning, with beautiful grounds, immaculate facilities and so many thoughtful touches that make the day feel effortless. Every part of the venue is maintained to an incredibly high standard, and our guests haven’t stopped talking about how amazing and seamless everything was. What really set Merrydale Manor apart was the team. Every single member of staff was friendly, professional and genuinely invested in making our day perfect. We were able to relax and enjoy every moment without worrying about a thing.

The planning process was smooth, communication was excellent, and we always felt supported. We honestly couldn’t have asked for a better venue. If you’re looking for somewhere that combines a breathtaking setting with an outstanding team who truly care about creating unforgettable weddings, we couldn’t recommend Merrydale Manor highly enough.

I don’t think wedding venues get better than this place. From start to finish we were supported by all the wonderful staff. They were attentive to all our questions and really helped when we didn’t have a clue.
They have a helpful list of amazing preferred suppliers and the venue is beautiful. I would highly recommend this place to anyone thinking of getting married!!
And we want to do the day all again at Merrydale!!

The second we stepped through into Merrydale Manor, we knew this venue was the one. Every area is kept so neat and beautiful, so we knew we'd have the most beautiful backdrop to all our photos throughout the day. They had great communication throughout, ensuring we had time to sit down with a wedding coordinator near the beginning of our planning and about 6 weeks before to finalise the details. They were always so responsive by email and on the phone for the million questions I had and were really receptive to any of our requests for minor changes to fit our needs.

The venue is full accessible for wheelchair users which was really important for a couple of our guests, and since many of our vendors were Manchester based, they already knew the venue already which put us at ease. They have multiple rooms where a civil ceremony is registered to take place, which made it much simpler for logistics on the day itself. Our only issue was the opening times were quite late so we couldn't use all the great facilities such as a the man cave and the bridal suite as much as we would have liked.

Drew and Sophie were our wedding coordinators on the day, and we spoke to Nikita and Robyn who helped with the planning. All were super lovely and helpful throughout the process. I'd highly recommend Merrydale Manor for our wedding, we had so many compliments on how gorgeous it was!

Our wedding at Merrydale Manor was nothing short of perfect.

From the very beginning, nothing was ever too much to ask—the team truly went the extra mile in every possible way. One thing that made a huge difference was being able to drop off and store our items during the week of the wedding. It took so much pressure off the day before, allowing us to actually relax and enjoy the lead-up.

They even arranged transport for myself and the bridesmaids to their local pub (which is a 10/10!) and back again, which was such a thoughtful touch and made the experience even more special.

I stayed on-site in the eco lodges, which were absolutely beautiful—such a peaceful and luxurious space. The entire venue is breathtaking, and somehow even more stunning in person than in photos.

The staff were incredible—warm, welcoming, friendly, and completely hands-on. They ensured everything ran smoothly and had the foresight to quietly handle anything before it could become an issue. They truly brought our vision to life.

The bedrooms are stunning, and the beds are unbelievably comfortable. We had the Manor House, honeymoon suite, and courtyard rooms, and all of our guests who stayed absolutely loved them.

We couldn’t have asked for a better venue or team—everything was seamless, thoughtful, and just magical from start to finish. Highly, highly recommend!

Absolutely flawless. We had the most unbelievable day. The care and effort the staff at Merrydale go to to support the bride and groom is second to none. The food was fantastic, there was nothing the staff couldn’t do for us, amazing accommodation, breathtaking setting. Special shout out to Kenzie, Cameron and of course our toastmaster, Neil - total credit to all involved in our wedding day. Thank you so much.

We cannot thank Merrydale enough for hosting our amazing day, from start to finish everything went so smoothly. From the first time we visited Merrydale on an opening day we knew this venue was the one for us. Michael had shown us around this stunning venue and we instantly fell in love. We are so pleased we picked Merrydale to host our wedding, all of our guests have complemented on how beautiful the venue was, how everything just went perfect & how all the staff was so lovely.
All the staff went above and beyond to make sure every detail was perfect, myself and my husband did not have to worry about anything, we was able to enjoy our full day with our family and friends as everything was taken care off.

From the moment we visited Merrydale Manor we fell in love with the place. Every time we visited Merrydale for wedding meetings etc.. the grounds and buildings were stunning, not a blade of grass out of place, it even looked stunning in Winter time. The team here are incredible, they gave you confidence from the start that everything would be taken care of and your day would be perfect. On the wedding day itself they had a team of people looking after the wedding making sure every single detail no matter how big or small was taken care of and ran smoothly. Every room in the venue, Ceremony room, Wedding breakfast room etc.. was utterly stunning, our expectations were quite high and they far exceeded these. Most of the people that came to our wedding said that it was the best wedding they had every been to and the food and service provided by Barretts was impeccable.

I got married here in October 2025 and it was better than I ever could have imagined. We were lucky enough to stay at the venue the night before and night of the wedding with all our nearest and dearest. All the staff were so attentive and made sure our stay was comfortable. Georgia couldn’t have done any more for us if she tried, without her those couple of days wouldn’t have run that smoothly.

We felt so relaxed and calm the morning of the wedding thanks to Georgias professionalism and guidance. She was such a calming presence to have around and kept us all on time and organised!

Not to mention this place is absolutely insane, from the beauty room, to bedrooms, to ceremony room and everything in between, it really does have everything you could hope for! My husband was particularly grateful for a couple of beers and a game of pool to calm the pre wedding nerves in the cave - what a special touch!

Choosing Merrydale Manor for our wedding is one of the best decisions I ever made. I visited 13 different venues and the minute I arrived at Merrydale Manor, I knew it was the one. The whole Merrydale Team are so incredibly friendly and welcoming, they make you feel like you are part of the family. They are so supportive and always on hand to answer any questions. Nothing is ever too much trouble. We have such magical memories of our special day. Everything was perfect from start to finish. The whole venue is impeccable, every detail is beautifully designed to wow you and your guests.
They really did make all our dreams come true. The wedding team’s amazing organisation and ability to help with every detail made the whole day run seamlessly. It was perfect in every way. They really are the BEST at what they do! I will cherish the memories forever.

Getting married at Merrydale is a truly wonderful experience, and if you’re lucky enough to have the option to get married there - don’t think twice! The exceptional grounds speak for themselves, but there’s so much more to Merrydale than what instantly meets your eyes as you enter the premises. Everything is immaculate, the attention to detail is second to none. The ceremony room, Merrydale Suite, the makeup room, the Cave, the rooms & more are all just exquisite. If you want to have a stress free wedding day and not even have to think about what your own name is, then Merrydale is the place for you. The staff - including the wedding planners, toastmaster, Barrett’s - are simply incredible. Everything ran like a military operation on the day, which allowed everyone to relax and enjoy themselves completely. The compliments we got from our guests on everything - from the grounds, atmosphere, food, service - were in abundance. I wish I could relive my wedding day as it was beyond special.
