The Roseate Reading
The Roseate Reading is a luxury wedding venue and hotel in Reading, Berkshire, housed in a beautifully restored Edwardian listed building dating from 1911. The venue combines elegant surroundings with a personalised and bespoke wedding service, designed to support couples throughout their celebrations.
Facilities and Capacity
The venue offers several elegant spaces for ceremonies and receptions, including the Eden Room for up to 60 guests, the Cellar for up to 14 guests, and the Reading Room for up to 100 guests for evening receptions. Additional facilities include the Aheli Spa, private cinema, bar and Whisky Room.
Accommodation
With 55 bedrooms and suites, The Roseate Reading makes it easy for you and your guests to stay together and enjoy the celebrations. Selected wedding packages include a complimentary stay in the Roseate Bridal Suite for the newlyweds, while exclusive room rates can be arranged for your wedding guests.
Our Services
At the heart of the Roseate wedding experience is personal service. From your initial planning through to the big day, a dedicated Wedding Planner and experienced wedding team will work closely with you to understand your wishes and create a celebration that feels uniquely yours.
The team can assist with ceremony arrangements, room set-up and those important finishing touches, while wedding packages can include a red carpet welcome, personalised stationery, place cards, table numbers, elegant table settings and a wedding cake stand. The aim is to make every detail feel effortless, allowing you to relax and enjoy your special day.
Catering
Your wedding menu can be tailored to the style of your celebration, with three- or five-course seasonal wedding breakfasts, Champagne and Prosecco receptions, wine and refreshments. As the celebrations continue, the hotel can also arrange canapés, small plates, evening buffets and evening snacks, together with cocktails, wine, beer and soft drinks.

A wonderful venue to get married with staff who are really helpful
The events staff have all been excellent from the beginning, answering our many questions, organising food tasting, showing us around the hotel and helping with the set-up of the day. The staff have been responsive to phone calls and emails as well as WhatsApp.
The food during the wedding breakfast was exquisite. The chef and sous chef both did an excellent job and we had the opportunity to meet them both prior to the wedding day. Many of our guests commented on the lamb especially and tasty deserts.
The mocktails were also fantastic.
Parking is only the slight issue as they have no guarantee you can park your car there as it is first come first serve but we were ok for the day.
The staff at reception including the doormen are always so friendly and smiling and it makes such a difference.
The hotel rooms we stayed in were the bridal suite which was stunning. Large room with a grand bed. The television was a little old fashioned and the views from the room not the best. However, the bathroom including the rainfall shower with romantic lights and large bath were very nice. But mind your foot as there is a sharp corner around the bath you would want to avoid.
We enjoyed a cinema experience in The Roseate’s cinema theatre and it was a lovely post wedding treat for family and close friends.
We enjoy coming to the Roseate often and it is always a welcomed treat and now feels like a second home.
