Huntsham Court is a beautiful, historic Devon Country House wedding venue. We offer clients complete flexibility and exclusivity within a beautiful Baronial mansion, set in the idyllic Devon countryside with glorious views.
The gorgeous interiors offer more than enough Downton-esque glamour to satisfy the most sophisticated guests, with enough space to throw a lavish party, while still feeling like a real home-from-home, albeit on a very large and grand scale! The elegant reception rooms offer dining for up to 130 guests, versatile spaces for dancing, casinos, relaxing and a dedicated bar space to help the celebrations along.
The 42 bedrooms are all beautifully furnished, many with large en-suite bathrooms, and the spectacular staircase alone will make you feel like you are Lord or Lady of your Manor.
Specialising in weekend or extended stay weddings and events, the venue offers complete flexibility in catering, drinks and on the day timings, coupled with complete privacy, beautiful grounds and excellent accessibility (just 15 minutes from the M5 and just 2 hours from London Paddington by train).

Facilities and Capacity
Huntsham Court is set on five and a half incredibly photogenic acres in the beautiful rolling Devon countryside. The house has 42 large bedrooms and suites which can sleep up to 100 people. It can hold events for up to 130 people. They're licensed to hold civil ceremonies indoors and outside. Couples can also get married in the pretty All Saints Church halfway down the drive or on the beautiful grounds. The team here is excited to share the house's luxury while you spend quality time with your nearest and dearest in privacy and glamour.
Services Offered
At Hunstham Court, the team will go above and beyond to help you make your wedding vision a reality. All furniture can be moved and used, and the house is totally flexible to meet your needs and style. You can get married in the dining room, have dinner in the drawing-room, and then dance the night away in the great hall if you so wish. The events team is on hand to do as much or as little as you want. The house is rented as self-catering but if you don't know where to start the venue's team has a great network of suppliers, housekeepers and butlers available to help. However, you have the freedom to bring your own caterers and team if you prefer. They also have a whole host of other vendors on call, from beauty and massages to in-house games like croquet and table tennis.

A Stunning Venue with a Seamless, All-Inclusive Experience
We had the most incredible experience at Huntsham! The setting is clearly absolutely stunning, but what really stands out is how practical and well thought-through it is too. They’ve genuinely covered everything. We had a winter wedding and it was perfect, fires lit, candles everywhere, warm and cosy atmosphere. It felt intimate and special. We got lucky with weather and using the grounds was amazing too. There’s just so much flexibility: indoor, outdoor, or church ceremony, great spaces inside that can be configured to your liking, in the grounds there are lawn games like croquet, space for football, and even tennis courts; it all just works.
The team were exceptional from start to finish. Everyone we dealt with, from signing the contract to final payments to on-the-day coordination, was kind, professional, and incredibly helpful. Jo, Colin, and Sade were real standouts amongst the lovely staff, though every member of staff was fantastic. They know the venue inside out and keep everything running smoothly without you ever feeling it.
It’s also genuinely all-inclusive. Décor, greenery, linen, games, setup, even a dedicated planner, it’s all handled. That made the whole process efficient and far less stressful. We also used their recommended suppliers, which made a big difference. They all knew the venue and worked seamlessly together.

The most magical venue
We had simple the best wedding weekend at Huntsham. We had been trying to find a venue that would fit as many of our guests in overnight as possible, coupled with the flexibility around bringing in suppliers of our choice and free corkage. Our wedding planner Natalie made the whole planning process totally stress free and she was brilliant over the entire weekend. Our guests still talk about just how good the venue was, balancing feeling like you are in a home and can relax with luxury interiors. We couldn't recommend this special place more!

Incredible Venue, Even Better Team
Our wedding at Huntsham Court was absolutely magical. All the staff bent over backwards to help us realise our (quite out-there!) vision of a gothic banquet/disco and were all incredible. There were so many moving parts to our day and they all went off without a hitch - not only that, but the team were universally incredibly friendly and fun to talk to. They really helped to make the day even more special.
A particular thank you must go to Jennifer Crabb, who was our event planner given to us by the venue. She was our guardian angel - no request was too big and she seemed to have the biggest “little black book” of contacts and suppliers we’d ever seen. We absolutely could not have pulled our day off without her help!
All in all, we wanted to do something that felt uniquely “us”, rather than a copy-and-paste country estate wedding, and Huntsham Court not only facilitated it, but really helped us to realise it. We scoured the country for a venue but Huntsham is so unique and so flexible that there wasn't ever going to be another choice for us.
Being able to party all night and then have all of our friends crash on site meant it felt like the best house party we’d ever thrown. Our guests were blown away. We had an incredible weekend and cannot recommend it, or the fabulous team, enough.

The perfect wedding venue!
We loved our wedding at Huntsham. It was the perfect venue. Jenny, our event manager was incredible and the staff were so friendly and helpful. We had a 3 day celebration and the venue went above and beyond to ensure we could enjoy every second.

You won't find anywhere better!
We got married at All Saints Church on the driveway of Huntsham Court, and then had all our celebrations at Huntsham Court in March 2025.
It was the most incredible weekend, in one of the most stunning venues. Our guests, like us, were blown away by the grand building and the surrounding views. Friday night was a casual evening for guests to get to know each other, have a drink and dinner from a food van - then Saturday was the main event!
The way Huntsham Court is run is so relaxed for such a historic location - a total dry hire, which means you organise everything yourself. That also means no corkage fees, which enabled us to stay within budget whilst offering an open bar for the full weekend.
We were also allocated a freelance wedding coordinator (Laura) by the management of the building, who was able to help us understand how everything works, hire staff, organise bedroom setups, gather insurances from vendors etc. - all within the original fee. We additionally chose to pay Laura to be there on the wedding day, which was a great decision. The whole day went seamlessly with not a single hiccup (as far as us and our guests know!)... it was such a relief to enjoy our day and not have to manage anything.
We can't recommend Huntsham Court enough!

The best wedding experience anyone could ask for.
Words cannot describe how much we loved our wedding weekend. Our guests all said it was the best wedding that they have ever attended.
It was perfect from start to finish.
We started with a pizza and Prosecco party on the Friday night, a 5k wedding run Saturday morning followed by the traditional wedding day (with a church blessing at All Saints), finally finishing with a Sunday brunch.
The venue is incredible and everyone was blown away by Huntsham Court. We didn’t need many decorations as it is so perfectly decorated by the owners with a huge Christmas tree as a perfect December touch.
Everyone loved their bedrooms which are all so uniquely incredible (I wish I could spend a night each one!)
From the moment we reached out to Huntsham in January, we were met with professionalism and excellence.
Our wedding planner, Laura (Kept Weddings) was unbelievable - nothing was soo much trouble and everything ran seamlessly on the day bringing our exact vision to life.
My mum would like to say a special thank you to Colin who saved the day with the cake!
All the staff were also amazing and helped in every way possible.

Stunning venue, unforgettable experience
We chose Huntsham because of the ability to have all our guests stay on one site - it really made the whole weekend that bit more special. Our planner Natalie was extremely helpful in planning and coordinating the day.
Staff were very responsive and great at onboarding and communicating with our suppliers: it was really good to have the ability to choose your own caterers etc. The no corkage fee was a definite plus for us. We hired a number of their staff during the weekend including bar staff, glass collectors, movers, general staff; all of whom were extremely helpful and efficient.
We held a number of different events throughout our weekend, including a cinema screening on the Friday and a ceilidh on the Saturday night.
We booked the entire venue and all of our guests loved the rooms which each had their own charms.
There's a lot of paperwork to arrange and read in preparation for the weekend (something like 30+ docs in one email) with limited flexibility and it made it feel a little overwhelming, but the whole weekend experience made up for this.

Gorgeous venue but totally self-catering
Such a gorgeous venue! Each beautifully decorated room was full of character, whether a function room or bedroom, and we loved every single one of them. We wanted a local wedding venue with stunning interiors (to allow for the great British weather), could provide accommodation for us and our overseas guests, and was also dog-friendly for our most important bridal party member Lottie. Huntsham Court ticked all the boxes and was the perfect mix of warm hospitality and vintage opulence. The housekeeping and bar staff hired by our planner Laura, who works as one of their in-house planners, were extremely pleasant to work with – cheerful and chatty but also efficient at carrying out their tasks. We also appreciated the freedom to hire any vendors provided their insurance/licences were suitable, and there was no corkage fee – something which stands out against competitors which tend to designate fixed caterers or have exorbitant corkage.
Cons – certainly not the cheapest venue in the area, and the price only includes the venue, 2 porter slots and 6 hours of a planner’s time to help with essential admin e.g. ensuring your vendors have appropriate PAT testing on their equipment. No other house staff or any consumables are included. While this means any additional costs are completely in your control, it also means you have a lot of organizing to do! We quickly realized that many things that we took for granted (as our minimal wedding experience had been in hotels) such as glass collectors, dishwashing tablets, and instant coffee had to be sourced and supplied by us. We decided to hire the in-house planner for a more comprehensive package to assist with staff hire and advice on vendors who were used to the venue and would have the appropriate licenses/insurance/equipment (although the venue does not limit vendors per se), which increased expenditure further. We believe that the extent of how self-catering the venue is should be more clearly explained on their website as we were not aware that we would be having to supply our own bin bags at the point of putting down our deposit.
Would we hire it again? All our guests were awestruck and had the best time exploring the ground floor, the gardens and even the bedrooms after others had checked out. Everyone was complimentary of the décor and the staff. Maybe, now that we are aware of the level of planning required and the “hidden” charges, we would still be open to considering it for our 10 year anniversary.

The most amazing wedding venue
We couldn't have asked for a more perfect venue than Huntsham Court for our wedding day. We were initially drawn to Huntsham Court due to the flexibility around suppliers, the no-corkage fee, and it's dog friendly! And when we went to view the venue we fell in love with it. Having a weekend wedding was perfect for us, and the fact the venue has so many bedrooms meant most of our guests stayed on site, which made it so convenient for our guests and allowed us to spend quality time with friends and family before, during and after the wedding without feeling rushed. We didn't need many decorations as the house is absolutely stunning. It's beautiful and grand, but at the same time warm, welcoming and cozy. Such an amazing atmosphere. Everything is super flexible (food, drinks, room layout, suppliers, dog friendly) which helped make it such a personal and unique day for us. The venue's wedding co-ordinator (Jenny) was amazing - she handled every aspect of the day flawlessly so we could relax and enjoy the day as we knew we were in good hands. Lots of the guests commented that it was the best wedding venue they've been to (and we agree!). Thank you Huntsham Court for an unforgettable and magical day!
