Utterly Perfect Day!
Wow what can I say! From the moment we first visited The Old Barn at Esholt and met Diane we knew it was going to be the perfect venue for our special day. And it certainly was! Diane was so friendly, professional, informative and communicative from start to finish. She could answer all our questions, lay all our concerns and queries to rest and went above and beyond to make sure we had our dream wedding … and we did. The Old Barn itself is absolutely stunning, even before adding our own touches on the day it is already beautifully done out inside. Surrounded by beautiful countryside and woods we were spoilt for choice for backdrops for our wedding day photos. The food on the day was absolutely amazing with so many of our guests commenting on how much they had enjoyed it. Diane, Harriet and her team worked tirelessly on the day to make sure our day was absolutely perfect and it was. All the staff were so friendly and polite and catered to our every whim. The resident DJ had clearly listened to our playlist and kept the floor fillers coming. I could not recommend this venue highly enough, a little hidden gem in the heart of the Yorkshire countryside, utterly beautiful and a perfect day.

If anyone is wanting an affordable heartwarming and beautiful venue this is the one for you. Harriet the wedding planner, kept us at ease & helped us every step of the way. Our wedding truly felt like a fairytale & all the staff included made us feel amazing. Truly professional & beautiful outcome xx

Cosy, cute, dreamy venue!
I cannot recommend The Old Barn at Esholt enough, right from start to finish .... from planning and keeping us informed and on track with every element of how our day would look to us actually arriving at our day and living out our dream wedding was top notch. Dawn, Harriet and the team were amazing, accommodating and really supportive through everything. The venue is dog friendly which was amazing as our dog Biscuit was able to attend for the entire day, ceremony, meal and evening reception. He was even given his own chicken dinner. Everyone fussed him and made him welcome. The food is AMAZING, all of our guests commented on how great the food service was and really enjoyed all the menu choices we had opted for. The setting is so cute and cosy, twinkly lights and exposed wooden beams give it a really lovely atmosphere. The whole day was perfect and Diane and her team couldn't have been more attentive. We had a truly wonderful wedding day here and would highly recommend.

Outstanding!!
Diane and her team were absolutely outstanding with organising our wedding . So professional from the initial point of contact! We had five venues booked and the Old Barn was the first one, after our first meeting with Diane we cancelled the other venue bookings and booked with Diane ! Her knowledge and experience is amazing . Every little detail was covered and on our wedding day the venue was decorated exactly how I had imagined ! The food was delicious and we received so many compliments from guests . Our wedding day was perfect and Diane deserves full credit for this as she is amazing!

Thankyou for a fantastic wedding day !
We had the most amazing wedding day at the old barn on Tuedsay 23rd December
Everything was seamlessly smooth throughout the whole process
From booking it all the way up to the wedding day
They even help you with the timings on the song to walk up the aisle!
They go though Everything with you to make sure everything is perfect for you
These people in this team make you feel so special
The old barn have done thousands of weddings but they make you feel like your the only wedding
The food service was beautiful and really efficient
And the wine was flowing with the wedding breakfast constantly
We loved our extra decorations we took down and Harriet and the team put them exactly where we wanted them they also had a lovely Christmas tree upstairs
After the wedding breakfast you go downstairs for a couple of hours to mingle with guests and take photos with the photographer
Then at 7ish the party starts the the old barns resident dj alex made some of the night into karaoke 🎤 it was the first time the dj did this and it went brilliant
We had a big screen with all the words on and we could add or subtract the original vocals if we wanted to
We had disco lights and blow up instruments and smoke on the dance floor
Harriet stayed until after the first dance which we loved! All the staff are so relateable and nice it was lovely because they joined in the fun and remaining organised and professional
Even Tom from the bar sang a song for us
Then we had a lovely evening buffet
Everyone was so happy
Even when it came to collecting our props/ flowers etc they didn't rush us and we went back on the 27th to collect them
Diane put my wedding bouquet in water for me and he helped us to the car carrying everything to take home
We couldn't of wished for a better day
We will now come for afternoon tea and keep in touch with these lovely lovely people

Our day went without a hitch from start to finish Harriet and Diane were amazing from start to finish . We started off with a booking of 50 but it turned out nearer 70 and we were supported thru this all the way it never being a problem and the help and support was second to none. On the day itself the whole team were fantastic from start to finish the foo was excellent and everything ran like clockwork . I/we couldn’t recommend the old barn enough fantastic venue very intimate place to spend with your nearest and dearest to share our special day . Massive thank you to everyone involved you were all amazing . Dave& Helen

Absolutely Amazing
From walking into the Old Barn on our first visit, and seeing the room, we knew instantly that was where we were going to get married.
Harriet was lovely from the get go, she answered all our silly questions efficiently, helped us cater for the fussy eaters with the menu, making a few tweaks, added on a couple extra guests at last minute due to my drunken invites 🫣, and had lots of laughs with us along the way.
The venue itself is beautiful, the beams, the twinkling lights, the outdoor areas - just amazing.
We were on a pretty tight budget and a 10 month schedule and they ticked all the boxes we needed them to.
Our day was nothing short of perfect, the team here were all lovely, and it was just filled with smiles, laughter and happy tears all day - and it only went so smoothly because of Harriet and Diane. They are a great duo, helped by the rest of the team, who calmed our nerves, saved my wife and her secret vaping and set all our decorations out to perfection.
I just need to say, the food was absolutely outstanding - 1000% the best sausage I have ever had. We had the bbq option and would definitely recommend this - just know your guests get all 4 of your options 😂 (one of those things that provided us with a huge laugh at my expense of sending out menu choices, getting everyone's choice, filling in the spreadsheet for Harriet to tell me everyone gets everything 🫠🫣). Also, guests have the opportunity to test out the driving range - this was a MASSIVE hit with ours, and us, and was one of those touches you won't be able to get anywhere else, but filled the gaps and kept everyone entertained.
We honestly would not have changed a single thing about our day and could not recommend these enough! Great value for money, great team, great golf experience, great food, great room, just 5 stars all round!

Staff go over & above - best wedding day ever!!
We cannot recommend the Old Barn enough. The team were amazing - super responsive and went over and above to help us and accommodate everything we wanted and needed. The food was incredible, and the venue itself is gorgeous. The fairy lights on the beams look absolutely magical in the evening. The venue is decorated beautifully as standard, so we feel like we saved sooo much money not having to buy extra decs to jazz it up too.
We had 50 guests in the day and about 75 in the evening and it was the perfect size for us. We had enough space for everyone on the dance floor, and didn’t feel too big or too small as everyone was spread out mingling. We got lucky with the weather, but if it rains and people don’t want to go outside, there’s plenty of space indoors for people to mingle without feeling crowded. There’s some gorgeous photo spots too!!
We really and truly cannot express how much we loved our day, and it wouldn’t have been the same without the attention and care of the team at the Old Barn.
We’ll be back for all of our big anniversary parties!!!

The best wedding we could've asked for!
The Old Barn & Staff are absolutely a 10/10 experience. The venue itself is beautiful and in a great location should you wish to take photos outside the venue you need not venture far to get photos with more scenery. The staff are amazing, from helping us with ideas with decorations, food & drink ideas, all the way to taking care of the bride and groom to late hours.
It never felt like a chore to head down to the Old Barn to give updates for the wedding before the big day. It was always pleasant!
I'm not planning on getting married again, But if I was to. It would most likely be here! :D

Such a wonderful wedding & venue.
To Di and the team at The Old Barn, We had an absolutely wonderful wedding day on 5th September 2025.
You all were magnificent, and the whole day went seamlessly from start to finish. Every detail was perfect. Thank you all so much !!
You all looked after us, and our families and friends so well, and everyone was saying what a wonderful venue it was, and what a wonderful team of people you are. Right from our arrival early afternoon and through the ceremony, and then into the evening party through to the end of the night. And Jake was an added superstar!!!
The food during the day, after our service was fantastic and in the evening too!
We're so glad we chose to get marred with you guys!

We had an amazing wedding here
From our first visit we knew that The Old Barn Esholt was the venue for us! Diane was very professional, informative and approachable. This is such a beautiful venue with an amazing selection of meal/food choices. The packages here are very flexible and great value. Diane and Harriet were very helpful, knowledgeable and responsive in the build up to the day. You hear wedding couples say that planning a wedding is so stressful, but Diane and her team made it effortless.
On the day, everything went smoothly and all of the staff were incredibly friendly and attentive. The venue was decorated beautifully and the food was amazing! We had our ceremony, wedding breakfast and evening reception at this venue and recommend it on all accounts. Both us and all of our guests had such a wonderful and memorable day, all thanks to the hard work of Diane and her team!
