Every single detail was breathtaking — from the stunning scenery and elegant spaces to the warm, welcoming atmosphere that made our wedding day feel truly magical. The venue itself is absolutely gorgeous and provided the perfect backdrop for both our ceremony and reception. Our guests couldn’t stop talking about how beautiful everything was and how seamlessly the day flowed from start to finish. What truly sets this venue apart, though, is the incredible team behind it. They were professional, attentive, and genuinely invested in making our day perfect. Every question was answered, every detail was handled with care, and we felt completely supported throughout the entire planning process. On the big day, everything ran flawlessly, allowing us to relax and fully enjoy every moment. If you’re looking for a wedding venue that combines beauty, organization, and exceptional service, look no further. This venue exceeded all our expectations and gave us memories we’ll cherish for a lifetime. We couldn’t imagine a more perfect place to say “I do.” Highly, highly recommend! 💍✨

What a stunning backdrop to our wedding! A convenient distance from York whilst still feeling remote. The barn has great bones on its own, and was spectacular when we added our flowers and other small personal touches. It was the perfect venue for the rustic wedding we wanted. James was accommodating, easy to contact approaching the day, and very friendly throughout the whole process. On the day itself, James was always there in the background making sure that everything went without a hitch (even appearing with jumper cables when a guest’s car wouldn’t start in the middle of the night). Working with Woolas Barn feels like an authentic family business who want to help you have the best wedding possible.

Danby Castle Barn was the perfect venue for our winter wedding. Despite the cold season, the atmosphere felt incredibly warm and welcoming, thanks to both the beautiful setting and the wonderful staff. Our event coordinator, Kaylie, was truly outstanding—calm, professional, and completely unflappable throughout the entire day. She made everything feel effortless and genuinely special for us. The food and service were exceptional, and our guests are still talking about it. We couldn’t have asked for a better experience.

As a florist and wedding stylist, I’ve had the pleasure of working at Hidden Oak several times, and it’s always a wonderful experience. The setting, light, and the atmosphere all come together beautifully to create the perfect backdrop for a wedding day. The team at Hidden Oak are absolutely fantastic to work with. They’re organised, friendly, and always go the extra mile to make sure suppliers have the time and space they need to create magic for their couples. Communication is spot-on, which makes setup days run so smoothly — something every florist truly appreciates! The venue itself is stunning — a blend of natural beauty and modern elegance. The barn offers so much flexibility for creative styling Every couple I’ve worked with there has commented on how relaxed and well looked after they felt — and it’s easy to see why. If you’re a couple looking for a venue with charm, character, and a team that truly cares, I can’t recommend Hidden Oak highly enough.

We had the absolute best time at our wedding and it was largely down to Dawn and her team. From booking the date to the organisation, everything was so easy and well managed. No question was too small and they clearly have the process down like a well oiled machine. Dawn always made us feel comfortable and helped put any worries we had at ease throughout the process and leading up to the big day. On the wedding day Dawn and Peter were both around to make sure everything went well. We cannot thank them enough!

We had our wedding with Camp Katur in September 2023 and it was honestly the most beautiful day - completely made by Camp Katur. Our woodland ceremony was the stuff of dreams, an idyllic fairytale and absolutely everything that I had hoped it would be. I think of those moments during our wedding so often and I think how glad I am that we chose Camp Katur. We could not have picked anywhere more perfect. Our guests absolutely loved the day, from the ceremony to dinner and dancing in the big, beautiful barn. People often tell me that it's the best wedding they've ever been to (maybe they say that to everyone but I believe it to be true!). So thankful to have found this incredible place.

We had our wedding at Lodge Farm, Cundall on 15th November 2025, with 52 day guests and around 50 evening guests, and it was absolutely perfect from start to finish. The venue itself is stunning. The separate ceremony barn and reception barn are beautifully maintained, full of character, and set within a peaceful countryside location that gives the day a truly magical feel. There’s so much natural space and ambience, and everything was spotless. Our food was provided by one of Lodge Farm’s recommended caterers and was exceptional, helped by the excellent on-site kitchen facilities. From the moment we first visited, Jen, the owner, was friendly, welcoming, and genuinely invested in making our day special. We felt at ease straight away. A huge part of what made the day run so smoothly was Kirsty, the wedding director. She met with us several times in the lead-up, explained the timings and flow of the day, checked we were happy with everything, and even contacted all of our suppliers ahead of time to make sure plans were aligned. On the day itself, she was outstanding—calm, organised, and quietly guiding guests (and us!) exactly where they needed to be without ever feeling intrusive. Will, the bar manager, was also fantastic. We had a bespoke drinks menu, and he went out of his way to make sure everything was perfect and that guests had exactly what they wanted. He was friendly, helpful, and really approachable throughout the evening. We also want to mention Caroline, who was absolutely fantastic throughout the day. She made sure the accommodation was spotless and perfectly set up, kept everything running smoothly behind the scenes, and even coordinated things so that Laura and I didn’t see each other before meeting the registrar. She went above and beyond to help Laura get from A to B discreetly and comfortably, making the whole experience feel seamless. Her attention to detail and calm, reassuring presence made such a difference to our day. The on-site accommodation for 14 people, right opposite the reception barn, is finished to an incredibly high standard and really has the “wow” factor. It made everything so easy and added an extra special touch to the whole experience. The accommodation also includes a beautiful bridal suite, which was perfect for Laura and the bridesmaids to get ready in. It has plenty of natural light—ideal for hair and makeup—and even features its own upstairs area with a stunning roll-top bath. It was the perfect space for a relaxed, enjoyable start to the day and end to the evening. Overall, our entire day ran flawlessly thanks to the amazing team at Lodge Farm. We couldn’t have wished for anything better and highly recommend it to anyone looking for a beautifully run barn wedding venue with exceptional staff and service.

Our experience with Thief Hall has been the absolute best. It is such a beautiful venue, in an idyllic location no matter the time of year. We got married on New Year's Eve, 2025. Everything about the process was fantastic. Communication with the team was great throughout the planning process, the team of wedding co-ordinators are experienced, warm and friendly and work so hard to ensure everything in the run up and on the day goes smoothly. The team were fantastic at listening to what we wanted for the day and supporting us to bring that vision to life. The attention to detail was absolutely amazing, every single scenario had been thought of and planned for and the extra little touches in the bridal suite and in the accommodation were incredibly thoughtful and so appreciated by us and also by all of our guests. We were so grateful to have on-site accommodation especially as we had guests travelling from all over the country. Also - to the brides - the glam room is incredible and such a beautiful way to start the day getting ready in such a gorgeous, well-set up hair & make up room, it makes such a difference. They literally have thought of everything! It was the perfect venue from start to finish and if we could do our wedding all over again, I wouldn't change a thing. Thief Hall was the most amazing wedding venue and I feel so lucky that we found the venue and the team that make it so special. Our wedding was absolutely magical and the Thief Hall team supported us so much in co-ordinating the day, confirming all the details in the weeks/days before the wedding and we couldn't have done it without them and can't recommend this venue and the wedding co-ordinators highly enough!

We had our wedding on 21st August 2025. It was honestly the best day EVER. Wharfedale Grange is really the perfect wedding venue. Camilla was our coordinator and I couldn't have trusted her more with nailing everything on the day (and during the set-up). What a total star. Wharfedale staff know what they are doing, and they know how to make sure your wedding runs like a total dream. I have no regrets whatsoever about booking Wharfedale Grange and it will always hold a very special place in our hearts. Thanks to everyone who played a part in our day. We got married at Howard Court last month and were so impressed by everything about it - from our first show around, everything felt so personal and the staff couldn’t have been more helpful. We never felt like this venue was a ‘wedding conveyor belt’ like others we had visited and it always felt like they truly wanted us to have the best wedding day possible Being able to get to know our coordinator Tara helped everything to feel so calm on the day as we had our full trust in her that she would ensure everything ran smoothly. We couldn’t recommend the Howard Court coordinators more! The venue is in the most beautiful setting which allowed us to get the countryside wedding we wanted - we were lucky with the November weather and able to have our first dance outside under the courtyard lights and also do sparklers and firepit outside which was perfect We couldn’t recommend Howard Court more - thank you to all the team for helping us to have the best day!
