The barn looks nothing short of stunning, featuring exposed oak beams and surrounded by a Yorkshire stone patio. Its large bi-fold doors flood the room with natural light during the day to create an idyllic and airy setting. An incredible hidden gem
The Hidden Oak truly is a hidden gem in North Yorkshire. The perfect setting for an incredible wedding day with luxury facilities, spacious grounds and attentive staff that ensure that your day runs perfectly. The Hidden Oak is my favourite venue to photograph and each couple I have worked with there have not been disappointed. The grounds are stunning and there is so much space for guests to enjoy. A truly spectacular venue and one that always impresses. If you want a venue that can host your vision for a perfect day, this is the one!

As a professional wedding magician, I’ve had the pleasure of performing at countless venues — and I can confidently say that Hidden Oak stands out as one of the most exceptional I’ve ever worked at.
From the moment I arrived, I was struck by the venue’s charm and welcoming atmosphere. The layout is ideal not only for couples and guests, but also for entertainment professionals like myself. There’s ample space to move between groups for close-up magic, with a natural flow between indoor and outdoor areas that makes it easy to keep the energy high and the interactions seamless. The courtyard is perfect for the drinks reception. The atmosphere is buzzing after the ceremony - all the guests are in the courtyard with enjoying the celebrations with the help of a singer in the corner. Your guests will love it!
The staff and team are top-tier — incredibly organized, helpful, and genuinely passionate about making every wedding perfect. Wedding Day 26.05.25
We are still not over how utterly perfect our day was!
This Venue was a stand out choice for us, we didn’t feel like we were being ‘churned out’ of a production line or just another wedding. The family friendly feel was perfect. The grounds speak for themselves and are breathtaking. The run up to the wedding was made easy-breezy with lots of communication, Rob and the team accommodated any visits to the venue I wanted to make.
Everything on our day was perfect, Rob, the family and the Hidden Oak Team were outstanding. They all ensured the day ran smoothly. Even little hitches from the weather or suppliers I wasn’t even aware of, and were sorted by staff so I could enjoy my day.
In addition all of my suppliers that made the day as wonderful as it was from start to finish, Herringbone House Beauty, Tate Hair, Silk and Blossom, Sweet William Florist, our amazing magician Luke Howells and night time entertainment House of Sax. The food on our day was next level, every one of our guests commented on how lovely this was and the evening pizzas went down a treat.
To anyone who is considering this venue know, hands down you won’t be disappointed. It is incredible.
The accommodation is beautiful - beds are ridiculously comfy, kitchen is gorgeous. The dressing room was a lovely area for the morning of my big day. The honeymoon suite is a delight, with views of the gorgeous landscape, deers and bunny’s in the mornings.
This was everything and more, we can’t wait to return.

We got married at The Hidden Oak on 28.06.25. We chose the venue because of the fantastic outdoor and indoor facilities, the accommodation in particular is lovely, as well the very friendly and welcoming atmosphere provided by Rob and the team. For a newer venue, they absolutely exceeded our expectations and gave us a fantastic wedding day.
The grounds are extensive and immaculate, they have made for amazing photos of the day.
They let us visit whenever we wanted to have a look at the venue, or to chat over ideas. They were so accommodating when we wanted to have our ceremony in a different area than usual, and made sure everything was well prepared.
The day itself ran perfectly, with The Hidden Oak’s staff managing the transitions between stages smoothly.
The food was absolutely fantastic. Our wedding breakfast was delicious, as were the canapés. All of our guests enjoyed their food thoroughly. We had the stone baked pizza for the night time which again was fantastic.
We couldn’t recommend them highly enough.

Excellent Venue
We celebrated our "home" wedding party here after getting married abroad. We had already been to a wedding here the year before, so knew that it was beautiful and wanted to return! It is a breath of fresh air to find a venue that is flexible and do not push huge packages onto you. As this was only an evening reception, we hired the venue and organized our own DJ and pizza van- Rob and the team were super helpful from start to finish, the space was amazing and the whole evening was really relaxed. We also had a tour of the newly renovated guest house which is equally as beautiful - would 100% recommend booking!

Exceptional
The Hidden Oak is a charming venue with lovely views all round. Plenty of space for guests and wedding activities. Rob and the rest of the team were very professional all through and provided an excellent service well beyond our expectations. Most importantly they were accommodating of all our requests. We would recommend to any couple looking for an indoor and/or outdoor wedding in the North East or even a destination wedding!

THE BEST wedding venue ever!!
Myself and my husband had our wedding at Hidden Oak. Deciding to get married last minute with just 5 weeks to plan everything we came across The Hidden Oak which was a short 5 minute drive from where we live. We went to view the venue and we were just instantly blown away! The view of the grounds, the wedding venue, the honeymoon suite, it was all absolutely stunning. Rob talked us through all the packages available and walked us round the grounds to show what it had to offer. We knew after looking round this was the venue for us!
The day before the wedding Rob allowed us into the venue to dress the tables and decorate the room how we wanted it. Myself and my bridal party stayed the night before and we were made to feel very welcome, Rob kept on asking if there was anything he could do/ get for us.
The day of the wedding, Rob and his amazing staff made sure everything ran as smooth as possible and they went above and beyond for us and our guests.
The food…. WOW! It was absolutely amazing, the best food anyone has had at a wedding! Everyone still to this day (3 months later) still talks about how outstanding the food was!
It truly was the best day of our lives and thanks to everyone at Hidden Oak for making it possible in such a short turnaround. I would recommend this wedding venue to absolutely everyone!!! It will always have a special place in our hearts and hopefully we’ll be lucky enough to go to this stunning venue again.

Bespoke winter wedding January 2025
As a wedding supplier that attends in excess of 150 weddings per year, I have visited just about every wedding venue in the North East of England, but when deciding on a venue for our own wedding, The Hidden Oak was a standout choice.
You can’t help but fall in love with the grounds, even in January for our winter wedding, the setting was stunning and beautifully maintained.
Excellent communication with Rob throughout the booking process, and all the team involved on the day gave a personal and attentive service, without being overbearing.
Outstanding food and drink selection.
We didn’t feel like we were part of a “production line” with set rules, we had a truly bespoke day, where every member of staff went out of their way to make it exactly how we wanted it.
The Hidden Oak truly reflects a venue that is operating with quality, pride, and a wonderful family run feel.
