Where to start. Me and my now wife have just got married here at Riverlands and what can I say Kate, Ed and the team were incredible. From the first time we visited to look around to after we were married we couldn’t fault them. Any questions we had or needed help with anything Kate and Ed were always on hand to help out. Such great hosts who did anything they could to make sure we had the best day possible. From providing us easels on the day to breakfast the morning after we got married we just couldn’t have asked for anything more. In terms of the venue itself we really couldn’t fault it. It was perfect for us both. The venue is beautiful and calming. Very picturesque and you can tell that Kate and Ed look after it like it’s their pride and joy. All of the accommodation was great, the guests loved it and overall we just had the best day ever. Credit to the staff as well especially Kyler who ran the day so smoothly no task was big enough for her. Simply just a great venue with great people. Thank you again for making it the best day.

There aren't enough superlatives to describe how much we love this venue.
It was the only venue we viewed and we knew instantly that it was the one for us!

Literally everything was perfect, they've thought of everything - from the outdoor sofas round the fire pit, to the summerhouse at the end of the garden in the accommodation & the beautiful canopy of trees filled with fairy lights over the terrace. Everything has been thoughtfully put together, yet it's still a lovely canvas that you can add your own touches to & make the day personalised to you.

Kate, Ed & Kyler are fantastic, they made everything so stress free & easy!

All our guests couldn't stop saying how beautiful the venue was & so many people said they wished they knew about it when they were getting married so they could have got married there.

Having the venue the evening before & the morning after just made it so magical & the accommodation is beautiful. We really could not recommend this enough, it is the best venue in Yorkshire!

We got married at Riverlands at the weekend and it completely exceeded all of our expectations. Kate & Ed, the owners, were delightful from the moment we met them. They were always so responsive to emails & questions, offering helpful advice and suggestions. They, along with their team have been so warm and welcoming. They along with Kyler, their coordinator, were there to greet us on set up day and were absolutely on it with every little detail and for anything we needed.
So many of our guests commented on how lovely the staff were, especially how relaxed everything seemed, while also being professional and executed to perfection.
The venue is absolutely stunning and speaks for itself, but it is also so practical because it has so much indoor and outdoor space, that it doesn't matter what the British weather decides to do, you will have a wonderful time regardless. This was a huge selling feature for us.
We hired all of the accommodation available for our wedding party- the Farmhouse sleeping 12, cottage sleeping 6 & shepherds hut sleeping 2. These houses are absolutely gorgeous and perfectly set up to cater for us all. It made the weekend so special to all get together for set up on Friday, followed by a quick ceremony rehearsal, then BBQ. The wedding morning was beautiful, relaxed and fun, and it was lovely to have a sausage butty and a coffee with those staying in the houses and camping on site in the morning.
I could not be happier in our choice of wedding venue and I am so grateful to Ed, Kate, Kyler and the whole team.

Our day at Riverlands was the most magical, incredible day we could have ever wished for. The venue is pure magic. The barns are beautiful and feel so romantic and perfect for such a special day. It felt like a dream to be there for the full weekend, which is one of the reasons we loved Riverlands so much as a choice. Kate, Ed, Kyla and team were amazing from start to finish. Kyla keeps you in such good hands, guiding the day and keeping everything running smoothly. Our guests can’t stop raving about how beautiful the grounds were. We only wish we could do it all over again! Thank you Riverlands for the most wonderful wedding day we could have asked for.

As soon as we visited Riverlands for the first time, we knew it was the perfect venue for us. A huge thank you to Kate, Ed and all of the team for making the day, and all the preparation, so smooth and relaxed. A beautiful venue for anyone looking for a rustic, authentic wedding. We also loved how flexible Riverlands was compared to other venues we viewed, and for helping us put together a wedding which was right for us. Choosing your wedding venue is one of the biggest decisions you have to make when planning a wedding and we knew from the second we stepped foot at Riverlands, there was nowhere else we wanted to have our day. The value for money is incredible, the staff are so accommodating and attentive, we couldn't have imaged a more perfect day.

My husband (still not used to that!) and I stayed in the cottage the night before the wedding - untraditional but we wanted to soak up every moment TOGETHER - and we were welcomed with a lovely hand written note and bottle of prosecco, which we thoroughly enjoyed in the hot tub, whilst watching the sun set on our last night as fiancés.

As for our wedding day itself, there literally are not enough words to describe how beautiful it was - from start to finish, the team at Riverlands made the day run smoothly and added nothing but joy to the whole day.

Thank you Kate, Ed, Kyla and the rest of the team - we would do it again in a heartbeat.

The Riverlands… wow! I don’t even think there are enough words to explain how amazing our wedding day was, and it’s all thanks to Kate, Ed and the team behind them (special mention to Kyler, beautiful human!)

The venue itself is top class, just a stunning location in the most picturesque place. The accommodation on site was perfect too and was great to check in the day before to settle in and get ready for the biggest day of our lives.

I cannot recommend this place enough, it has everything and the team just make sure everything is taken care of.

Kate welcomed us with open arms when we first visited to check it out, safe to say we didn’t bother to see any other locations.

If you’re getting married, this is the perfect place. Loads of other accommodation nearby and you can also camp onsite which is brilliant ! 🤩

Everything we dreamt of, and more. The venue was truly magical and the staff could not have been more helpful from start to finish. Kate and Ed listened to our ideas and were so laidback it not only put our minds at ease but allowed us to create our wedding exactly as we imagined it. We could not recommend this venue more. We celebrated our special day at Riverlands and it was everything we dreamt of and more.

The venue itself is gorgeous, we knew it was the one as soon as we arrived and once we met Kate & Ed we knew we had made the right decision. The whole experience was personal, nothing felt like a silly question, they were on hand to help whenever we needed it whilst also giving us the freedom to make our day truly our own. They gave us some great supplier recommendations too which helped bring our vision to life!

The grounds are beautiful which made for some amazing photos on our day, the courtyard area was our favourite spot - it genuinely feels like you could be anywhere in the world! The day itself ran perfectly with Kate & Kyler on hand to answer any questions we had, deal with our suppliers and make sure all our guests were looked after. We felt truly able to relax and enjoy our day without any stress which was something I will always be grateful for!

We feel so lucky to have been able to celebrate our special day here and 3 years on still wish we could do it all over again!
