Paige, our wedding coordinator on the day, was an absolute star—everything ran so smoothly thanks to her. We didn’t have to worry about a thing and were able to just enjoy every moment. Fern was fantastic too, helping us set up the day before and guiding us through the rehearsal with calm confidence.

All the team and bar staff were incredibly friendly and helpful, creating such a welcoming atmosphere for us and our guests. The venue is simply stunning! It had everything we needed all in one place—beautiful, practical, and perfect for a big celebration.

Communication in the lead-up was great, and the team was always accommodating and responsive. We’re so grateful for the care and effort that went into making our big day so special.

Where to start. The venue itself is simply stunning and beautiful, from the immaculate lawns, to the gorgeous courtyard, amazing conservatory and beautiful ceremony room. When my wife and I first viewed the venue, we knew it was where we were going to get married. The laundry cottage and farmhouse were also simply amazing. The perfect place for the bride to prepare beforehand and a wonderful suite for the bride and groom after the wedding.

So not only does it make for fantastic photos and a stunning setting for the venue, with seating and a layout for all weathers (thankfully we were lucky enough for perfect weather in April), the staff were simply perfect.

From helping us plan our ceremony and celebrations in the months before the wedding, to liasing with suppliers and answering all our last minute questions in the final few days, the team at Thirsk Lodge Barns were all we could ask for.

The day itself went off without a hitch, a special thank you to our wedding coordinator Anya too. You were attentive to us and our guests and made sure we could just relax and enjoy our day together.

Any wedding is a day to remember, but if you choose Thirsk Lodge Barns then it will be a day you'll never ever forget and wish you could relive for the rest of your lives without a stress in sight.

We got married at Thirsk Lodge Barns on the 28th of March and it's hard to explain how much we loved this venue. The second we walked in on our first viewing, we both just knew this was the one. My husband actually said "can we just book it now?" before we'd even finished the viewing because it was just perfect.

The staff are so caring and considerate, we received a branded candle when we paid our first deposit which was such a lovely touch and also received a wedding card from them on the day which was so sweet!

I arrived at 12pm the day before to get the venue set up and Sophie and Charlie were so helpful all day! Sophie was an amazing co-ordinator, from the rehearsal the night before to the whole day - I honestly can't thank her enough for everything she did for us! We did have a couple of hiccups, the boys stayed at 35 Kirkgate and there were some issues with the toilet which Charlie fixed and we also had a surprise brass band who were supposed to enter at the end of the best man's speech but there was some missed communication between the venue and the band about where they needed to be and at what time which resulted in them waiting in the car park for over an hour but honestly, this didn't have a negative impact on our day whatsoever, Sophie co-ordinated them to be there for the cake cutting instead and this actually worked out perfectly as I got to dance with my Grandma which is one of my favourite parts of the day! I've said thank you to Sophie for everything about 500 times now, she's probably sick of me! But honestly, you're an absolute gem!

The venue is so beautiful, we've had so many compliments from our guests and the on-site accommodation is also so comfortable and homely, you feel right at home the second you step through the door!

We knew Thirsk Lodge Barns was the venue for us when we came to view it. It's a gorgeous modern barn conversion that has a wonderful indoor/outdoor feel, lots of natural light, and the most amazing team running it.

Throughout the wedding planning, they were so accommodating to all of our questions and alleviated any stress as quickly as they could. It was so appreciated especially the nearer we got to the big day!

The farmhouse, laundry cottage and woodhill grange accommodation sites our wedding party stayed in were beautiful. Everyone commented on how big the space was!

I knew this was the place from the minute I saw it. Luckily husband agreed! Booked April 2024. We've attended different events there, we've been able to show family. Planning meeting in the summer, responsive to emails. The friendliest team ever.
Our day-of team? 10/10. Everything was perfect. No hitches. They factored in time to let us relax and have breathers as a couple. I feel so so lucky and supported. Accomodation also literally incredible and housed both of our families and us (Laundry Cottage, Farmhouse, Woodhill grange).
Set up day before = no stress day of. Take down day after = no stress day of.

We had the most spectacular wedding day all thanks to the team at Thirsk lodge. Everything was handled with ease, Fern was great when decorating and the day of the wedding.
We had so many compliments from guests on the venue and we honestly couldn’t fault them for anything.

We had our wedding at Thirsk Lodge Barns last July and everything about the venue was perfect. It was the only venue that we went to look at when we started looking and we instantly fell in love and knew this was the place for us. And nearly a year into married life, if we were to go back and plan the wedding again we would pick the same venue time and time again.
From the off nothing was too much trouble for the team. They were happy to help with any queries that we had. It’s clear that every single member of staff takes pride in their work and wants to ensure that their couples have the most magical day.

I’m going to keep this short and sweet, Thirsk Lodge Barns don’t do customer service, they do TLB friends and family service, because for the passed year we haven’t been customers we’ve felt like friends and family. As far as my wife and I are concerned there is only 1 wedding venue on the planet!!

Amazing venue, all the staff were an amazing and so helpful when we were planning our wedding. The venue is clean, well kept and stunning interior and exterior design!

Letty and Will among with their team have created the most perfect space to get married. When we looked around Yorkshire for our special venue, TLB ticked all the boxes and literally had thought of everything. I walked away with no questions or hesitations. Having the ability to personalise the venue was a huge point we wanted to nail and the team couldn’t have been more helpful. Except me muddling up my vows, everything from the start of the booking process to waking up in the bridal suite the morning after were simply perfection

We ‘took a chance’ on TLB as we went to view the venue when it was still being built. Although not much to see on our first visit, we fell in love with the vision and plans that Letty showed us - we just knew it was going to be something special - and decided to go ahead and book for 2 years time! Once the venue was finished it was more beautiful than we could have imagined!

You can see from pictures how beautiful it is, but it’s the details that make the difference - firstly the layout is ideal for any day, it’s amazing to have different areas for different parts of the day. The main barn is stunning with the perfect modern-barn feel, and it was lovely to have the gorgeous dining room and courtyard as well with the bar joining everything together so it flows really well.

The team were amazing from start to finish, nothing was too much and everyone was so helpful and we felt like they couldn’t do more for us. The whole day and experience was made easy which is exactly what you want for your wedding day! Being able to stay in the on-site accommodation the night before and having the afternoon before to set up works really well. The accommodation is also SO beautiful and it’s clear every little detail has been thought out in the design!

We had loads of flexibility, everything we wanted the team could do for us - Pimms in the outside bar for the reception, pizza supplier gazebo set up in the evening - music timing, planning ideas, etc.

The coordination leading up to the day was fantastic and our guests commented on how helpful all of the team were on the day, and how beautiful the venue and accommodation was. I couldn’t recommend TLB enough.

I wish we could do it all again!
