Thirsk Lodge Barns had an open day to look around their premises to see if we would like our wedding there. We are SO glad we chose to book onto this as we put our name down for our wedding at TLB straight away! As soon as we turned up to the venue, we both knew it was more than beautiful, the staff that work at TLB are amazing and so accommodating and couldn't do more for you! The venue includes amazing accommodation for the guests too which was perfect for us, meaning waking up and getting ready for the big day was really easy and efficient. Once all our decor was ready the morning of the wedding, we knew it was the perfect choice for our big day, it looked better than we ever imagined! The whole weekend was hiccup free and the team were always on hand if you needed them, it really was perfect. Couldn't thank Thirsk Lodge Barns and the team enough for making our day as special as it were!

I’m going to keep this short and sweet, Thirsk Lodge Barns don’t do customer service, they do TLB friends and family service, because for the passed year we haven’t been customers we’ve felt like friends and family. As far as my wife and I are concerned there is only 1 wedding venue on the planet!!

Amazing venue, all the staff were an amazing and so helpful when we were planning our wedding. The venue is clean, well kept and stunning interior and exterior design!

Letty and Will among with their team have created the most perfect space to get married. When we looked around Yorkshire for our special venue, TLB ticked all the boxes and literally had thought of everything. I walked away with no questions or hesitations. Having the ability to personalise the venue was a huge point we wanted to nail and the team couldn’t have been more helpful. Except me muddling up my vows, everything from the start of the booking process to waking up in the bridal suite the morning after were simply perfection

We ‘took a chance’ on TLB as we went to view the venue when it was still being built. Although not much to see on our first visit, we fell in love with the vision and plans that Letty showed us - we just knew it was going to be something special - and decided to go ahead and book for 2 years time! Once the venue was finished it was more beautiful than we could have imagined!

You can see from pictures how beautiful it is, but it’s the details that make the difference - firstly the layout is ideal for any day, it’s amazing to have different areas for different parts of the day. The main barn is stunning with the perfect modern-barn feel, and it was lovely to have the gorgeous dining room and courtyard as well with the bar joining everything together so it flows really well.

The team were amazing from start to finish, nothing was too much and everyone was so helpful and we felt like they couldn’t do more for us. The whole day and experience was made easy which is exactly what you want for your wedding day! Being able to stay in the on-site accommodation the night before and having the afternoon before to set up works really well. The accommodation is also SO beautiful and it’s clear every little detail has been thought out in the design!

We had loads of flexibility, everything we wanted the team could do for us - Pimms in the outside bar for the reception, pizza supplier gazebo set up in the evening - music timing, planning ideas, etc.

The coordination leading up to the day was fantastic and our guests commented on how helpful all of the team were on the day, and how beautiful the venue and accommodation was. I couldn’t recommend TLB enough.

I wish we could do it all again!

Thirsk Lodge Barns was the perfect venue for our wedding. The staff are fantastic and can't do enough for you throughout the whole process. The day was amazing from start to finish. I first viewed Thirsk Lodge Barns with wellies and a hard hat on and when the venue was still in the building process but from the moment I walked in, I knew it was the venue for us. I went home and told my husband to be that I found the dream venue and with only seeing pictures and describing it to him he was also sold.

From the start to finish, the team at Thirsk Lodge Barns were outstanding and no task or request was too big.

The day before the wedding the team were so helpful and got stuck in helping us set up and even baked a cake for me & my family to enjoy while we set up!!

The venue, team and accommodation were just out of this world! We cannot recommend this venue enough!

I first viewed Thirsk Lodge Barns on my own on the way back from a work trip to “tick it off the list”… and from the moment I walked in, I knew it was the venue for us! I returned the day after with my husband (then fiancé) and we both fell in love with it - and the team!

Everything about the venue has been considered, from the private “VIP” room and bathroom for the bride and groom to use, to the separate meal/reception rooms, wheelhouse “quiet” area, bar and the gorgeous courtyard. Unlike other barns we had viewed, this one was warm, welcoming and featured some gorgeous design details. Every time we saw it, it seemed to look even better than the last. After our first viewing, we were concerned about it looking worn/tired/used by the time our wedding came round but it was quite the opposite - it was exceptional, got better and better with each visit, and still looked brand new on our day. Things we loved were that we wouldn’t need to rely on the outdoor space, but it was there should the british weather allow us to use it, and also how accessible it was for all of our guests who were travelling from Newcastle, London, Scotland, Wales - there was abundance of accommodation a 5 min drive away but yet the venue feels completely secluded and private. We didn’t want to get married in a huge stately home with acres of land but did want somewhere that felt exclusive and welcoming - and it was that and more. We also love the fact that regular foodie nights and events meant we could visit as many times as we wanted/needed to in the run up and also can continue to do so to keep this gorgeous venue part of our lives.

The team are ABSOLUTELY AMAZING. They were the most helpful, positive, friendly girls throughout the planning process, set up, wedding day and day after. When people say “nothing was too much trouble” this has actually never been a truer statement about Letty, Abi, Kate and Emily, as well as Toz and the team on the day. If I sent an email asking how tall the cocktail glasses were or how long the tables were - I had an answer the same day… Even though we knew they were fully booked for weddings in the whole run up to ours, they made us feel like ours was the only one happening and whenever we saw anyone in the team they welcomed us like friends.

We got married on 1/4/23 and it really was the best day! SO many of our guests commented on how gorgeous the venue was, which I wasn’t expecting! If anything went wrong on the day, we weren’t aware of it, we felt like it couldn’t have been more perfect and it was chilled, gorgeous and loads of fun which is exactly what we’d hoped for. If we could do it all again we absolutely would, and would recommend anyone to choose this venue - you will NOT be disappointed!

We got married in July 2022 and we think about our wedding nearly every day. Our vision was a Mediterranean feel in Yorkshire and it was just that.
Letty and the team go above and beyond and think of every last detail. The venue, team and accommodation are just perfection. We cannot recommend this venue enough.

Letty and her team have built a truly wonderful wedding venue.

Firstly, 3 weeks before the wedding, I found about I was pregnant and I was in complete panic mode about hiding it from our guests. Letty and her team were nothing short of amazing - she eased my nerves and came up with a plan to fool the guest. And it worked! I don't know what I would have done without her!

The whole team at TLB were simply fantastic in the lead up to the wedding & on the day itself. The lead up to any wedding is fairly stressful, but the frequent communication, reassurance and event coordination helped elevate unnecessary stress. I was able to sit back & soak the whole day up.

The venue itself it utter perfection. Not only is it visually flawless, its been designed with every single moment of the day in mind. When you're telling everyone that your wedding venue has the most amazing bathrooms, you know its a stunning venue!

I could not recommend TLB anymore, there are simply no words. You will not regret your choice :)

Thirsk Lodge Barns is what dreams are made of. My husband and I viewed the venue in September 2020 with hard hats on and muddy boots as it was still under construction, but we didn’t even need it to be built to know it was the one. It was just as they say – when you know, you know. Letty walked us around and told us the plans she had for the venue and her vision, which needless to say came 100% and completely true. We took the plunge and booked TLB for November 2022 based only off this and artistic impressions, the best decision we ever made. This was the catapult for the best wedding we could have ever dreamt of.
Every single detail from the portal, to the staff, to the venue itself has been acutely considered and perfected. During the planning of the wedding Letty and her team were always happy to answer our many questions and let us view the venue as many times as we needed. They offered advice and ideas, and worked with us to made our day just as we wanted it to be. They were also extremely flexible with any elements we wanted to incorporate and helped us with all logistics. Even last minute changes were welcomed and easily included.
On the day before, they helped calmed our nerves and get us ready for the day. They were genuinely excited for our day. On the day of the wedding the staff could not have been more helpful, things happened without us even realising – and even to this day I bet they managed so much that I didn’t even know about. I felt like a guest at my own wedding, we were so well looked after. Despite it only having weddings for just over a year before ours, everything ran like clockwork. The staff are clearly experienced and really do care about the couples.
The venue really is breath-taking, without going overboard I really do believe this is up there with the best venues in the country. It’s timeless but with all the modern adjustments that you might need.
I can honestly say that our wedding day at TLB was the best day of our lives, completely magical and a day I will never forget.
I feel so lucky to have been one of the first weddings at TLB, it was our dream wedding venue and you simply must have your day here. Thank you thank you thank you.

We celebrated our wedding (and NYE) on 31st December 2022 at TLB. And everything about our day was SPECTACULAR 🤍🖤

We first visited in wellies and hard hats in December 2020, and were sold by Lettys vision and enthusiasm. When we visited again upon its opening - we weren’t disappointed. Every detail had been so well thought out and it really is a dream venue.

Throughout the planning process and on the day , nothing was too much trouble for any of the team! And we owe so much to Letty, Abi, Kate and co for making our wedding day so perfect. Both for us and for every single one of guests and suppliers, everyone commented on how flawless the venue and staff were. We really appreciated your calmness, helpfulness and wealth of knowledge throughout.

We loved every moment from the help setting up the day before, to the midnight fireworks (in the rain!), the little homely touches in the accommodation, to the jazziest ladies toilets, the VIP room and THAT bath tub in the laundry cottage.

Thank you again for making our wedding so unforgettable and congratulations to all the lucky couples that choose to get married at TLB in the future!

We celebrated our wedding at Thirsk Lodge Barn on the 11th February 2023.
On the run up to the wedding the staff at thirsk lodge made sure that all the finer details where correct to make sure it would be perfect on the day.
Our day was perfect and so unique. We can’t thank the staff enough.
The venue is beautiful and all our guests commented on how amazing it was.

We got married here in September 2021 and honestly, we could not have hoped for a better venue or a better bunch of people to work with. Everything from start to finish was perfect, every member of the team went above and beyond and it would not have been the day it was without them. They absolutely nailed it, we were the 4th wedding they hosted since opening their doors, this made us a little nervous initially but we needn't have worried, everything went to plan and was faultless. Having had planned a wedding previously which was subsequently cancelled thanks to the big C, I can honestly say that we are both so happy it didn't go ahead. This venue absolutely blew our previous venue out of the water, despite actually being much more reasonably priced. The service we received at Thirsk Lodge Barns was head and shoulders above our prior experience - nothing was ever too much and there were so many little touches, every single thing had been thought of. The venue itself is stunning, their eye for detail and interior design is second to none and there's so many fantastic spots for photos. The surroundings are gorgeous, countryside views for miles! There are also lots of great spots to make use of - we stuck an oyster bar in one of the courtyard stables then rotated in Homeboy Pizza Co in the evening! They are super flexible, you can bring in your own caterer, own drinks, use the space however you choose, all of which meant the whole day was our own. Food and drink was a big focus of our day so the fact we could partner up with whoever we wanted was ideal - we were even able to bring in our own beer from a local brewery, on draft no less! If you're looking for a venue to host an event, I'd whole heartedly recommend Thirsk Lodge Barns. Thank you Letty, Will and the team.

Our wedding day still feels like a dream and Thirsk Lodge Barns was the perfect setting!
