We got married at Thirsk Lodge Barns on the 28th of March and it's hard to explain how much we loved this venue. The second we walked in on our first viewing, we both just knew this was the one. My husband actually said "can we just book it now?" before we'd even finished the viewing because it was just perfect.

The staff are so caring and considerate, we received a branded candle when we paid our first deposit which was such a lovely touch and also received a wedding card from them on the day which was so sweet!

I arrived at 12pm the day before to get the venue set up and Sophie and Charlie were so helpful all day! Sophie was an amazing co-ordinator, from the rehearsal the night before to the whole day - I honestly can't thank her enough for everything she did for us! We did have a couple of hiccups, the boys stayed at 35 Kirkgate and there were some issues with the toilet which Charlie fixed and we also had a surprise brass band who were supposed to enter at the end of the best man's speech but there was some missed communication between the venue and the band about where they needed to be and at what time which resulted in them waiting in the car park for over an hour but honestly, this didn't have a negative impact on our day whatsoever, Sophie co-ordinated them to be there for the cake cutting instead and this actually worked out perfectly as I got to dance with my Grandma which is one of my favourite parts of the day! I've said thank you to Sophie for everything about 500 times now, she's probably sick of me! But honestly, you're an absolute gem!

The venue is so beautiful, we've had so many compliments from our guests and the on-site accommodation is also so comfortable and homely, you feel right at home the second you step through the door!

Everybody commented on how beautiful Thirsk Lodge Barns is, and we couldnt agree more. From the day we first visited, we didnt even need to think about it, we knew this was the perfect venue.

The staff are so friendly, helpful and so intentive. They will do anything for you and make sure everything is perfect. There communication with you throughout your planning and even after is 100%.

We went for the twilight package which is so worth the money they charge. With this package you are meant to go at 2pm, however with us wanting it a little earlier, they were happy to accommodate this for us. Which made everything just fall into place and make our day flow.

Our wedding co-ordinator was Nadiyah who was absolutely amazing from start to finish. She made sure everything ran so smoothly, kept everything on track, and handled every little detail without us having to worry about a thing. Because of her hard work, organisation and calm approach, we were able to relax and truly enjoy every moment of our special day. We can't thank her enough for helping make our wedding everything we dreamed of.

To end the night we went back to our Bridal cottage, where all our cards and gifts were laid out and even a lovely card from TLB. This was such a lovely touch to end a perfect day.

We had our wedding at Thirsk Lodge Barns earlier this year (2026) and was just beyond perfect. Everything the venue supported us with was absolutely amazing, we booked the venue on one of their open days and the whole process was easy, payment on their website was clear for deadlines and the whole team on email or phone were super responsive to all of our queries which helped the whole wedding planning process go really smoothly. I know a lot of people who have booked this venue in the future and would recommend to anyone I know who is thinking of getting married. Thank you to the whole Thirsk Lodge Team, you are amazing!!

We knew as soon as we walked into Thirsk Lodge Barns than it would be our venue.
The beautiful mix of rustic and modern, the amount of natural light, the court yards, and the flow the day would have through the different areas.
The staff were beyond amazing! Always welcoming and helpful and responsive to emails.
Sophie our coordinator was outstanding. She couldn’t have done more for us on the wedding weekend! All my bridal party and family commented on how amazing she was, and my niece certainly took a shine to her after being given sneaky ice lollies in the heat wave!
You are able to access the venue from 12-5 the day before for set up which was amazing. And can clear out the next morning until 11am.
The accommodation with the venue is superb! So comfortable and has everything you need. Super spacious so it doesn’t feel chaotic whilst getting ready.
Every time we came back to the venue during our planning we loved it more and more, and there isn’t a thing we would change about it!

We decided to have welcome drinks the night before the wedding and could not recommend this option enough! This venue is absolutely stunning to was wanted to spend as much time there as possible. The onsite accommodation is gorgeous and with a little bit of April sunshine, we had full use of the glorious courtyard - it felt like a destination wedding.

With every angle of the venue being aesthetically breathtaking, we could not be happier with our photos.

Where to start. The venue itself is simply stunning and beautiful, from the immaculate lawns, to the gorgeous courtyard, amazing conservatory and beautiful ceremony room. When my wife and I first viewed the venue, we knew it was where we were going to get married. The laundry cottage and farmhouse were also simply amazing. The perfect place for the bride to prepare beforehand and a wonderful suite for the bride and groom after the wedding.

So not only does it make for fantastic photos and a stunning setting for the venue, with seating and a layout for all weathers (thankfully we were lucky enough for perfect weather in April), the staff were simply perfect.

From helping us plan our ceremony and celebrations in the months before the wedding, to liasing with suppliers and answering all our last minute questions in the final few days, the team at Thirsk Lodge Barns were all we could ask for.

The day itself went off without a hitch, a special thank you to our wedding coordinator Anya too. You were attentive to us and our guests and made sure we could just relax and enjoy our day together.

We knew Thirsk Lodge Barns was the venue for us when we came to view it. It's a gorgeous modern barn conversion that has a wonderful indoor/outdoor feel, lots of natural light, and the most amazing team running it.

Throughout the wedding planning, they were so accommodating to all of our questions and alleviated any stress as quickly as they could. It was so appreciated especially the nearer we got to the big day!

The farmhouse, laundry cottage and woodhill grange accommodation sites our wedding party stayed in were beautiful. Everyone commented on how big the space was!

I knew this was the place from the minute I saw it. Luckily husband agreed! Booked April 2024. We've attended different events there, we've been able to show family. Planning meeting in the summer, responsive to emails. The friendliest team ever.
Our day-of team? 10/10. Everything was perfect. No hitches. They factored in time to let us relax and have breathers as a couple. I feel so so lucky and supported. Accomodation also literally incredible and housed both of our families and us (Laundry Cottage, Farmhouse, Woodhill grange).
Set up day before = no stress day of. Take down day after = no stress day of.

We had our wedding at Thirsk Lodge Barns last July and everything about the venue was perfect. It was the only venue that we went to look at when we started looking and we instantly fell in love and knew this was the place for us.
