Paige, our wedding coordinator on the day, was an absolute star—everything ran so smoothly thanks to her. We didn’t have to worry about a thing and were able to just enjoy every moment. Fern was fantastic too, helping us set up the day before and guiding us through the rehearsal with calm confidence.

All the team and bar staff were incredibly friendly and helpful, creating such a welcoming atmosphere for us and our guests. The venue is simply stunning! It had everything we needed all in one place—beautiful, practical, and perfect for a big celebration.

Communication in the lead-up was great, and the team was always accommodating and responsive. We’re so grateful for the care and effort that went into making our big day so special.

We had our wedding at Thirsk Lodge Barns last July and everything about the venue was perfect. It was the only venue that we went to look at when we started looking and we instantly fell in love and knew this was the place for us. And nearly a year into married life, if we were to go back and plan the wedding again we would pick the same venue time and time again.
From the off nothing was too much trouble for the team. They were happy to help with any queries that we had. It’s clear that every single member of staff takes pride in their work and wants to ensure that their couples have the most magical day.

I’m going to keep this short and sweet, Thirsk Lodge Barns don’t do customer service, they do TLB friends and family service, because for the passed year we haven’t been customers we’ve felt like friends and family. As far as my wife and I are concerned there is only 1 wedding venue on the planet!!

Amazing venue, all the staff were an amazing and so helpful when we were planning our wedding. The venue is clean, well kept and stunning interior and exterior design!

Letty and Will among with their team have created the most perfect space to get married. When we looked around Yorkshire for our special venue, TLB ticked all the boxes and literally had thought of everything. I walked away with no questions or hesitations. Having the ability to personalise the venue was a huge point we wanted to nail and the team couldn’t have been more helpful. Except me muddling up my vows, everything from the start of the booking process to waking up in the bridal suite the morning after were simply perfection

The most perfect wedding venue and team that we could ever have wished for. We would highly recommend to any couple looking for a wedding venue.

We ‘took a chance’ on TLB as we went to view the venue when it was still being built. Although not much to see on our first visit, we fell in love with the vision and plans that Letty showed us - we just knew it was going to be something special - and decided to go ahead and book for 2 years time! Once the venue was finished it was more beautiful than we could have imagined!

You can see from pictures how beautiful it is, but it’s the details that make the difference - firstly the layout is ideal for any day, it’s amazing to have different areas for different parts of the day. The main barn is stunning with the perfect modern-barn feel, and it was lovely to have the gorgeous dining room and courtyard as well with the bar joining everything together so it flows really well.

The team were amazing from start to finish, nothing was too much and everyone was so helpful and we felt like they couldn’t do more for us. The whole day and experience was made easy which is exactly what you want for your wedding day! Being able to stay in the on-site accommodation the night before and having the afternoon before to set up works really well. The accommodation is also SO beautiful and it’s clear every little detail has been thought out in the design!

We had loads of flexibility, everything we wanted the team could do for us - Pimms in the outside bar for the reception, pizza supplier gazebo set up in the evening - music timing, planning ideas, etc.

The coordination leading up to the day was fantastic and our guests commented on how helpful all of the team were on the day, and how beautiful the venue and accommodation was. I couldn’t recommend TLB enough.

I wish we could do it all again!

Thirsk Lodge Barns had an open day to look around their premises to see if we would like our wedding there. We are SO glad we chose to book onto this as we put our name down for our wedding at TLB straight away! As soon as we turned up to the venue, we both knew it was more than beautiful, the staff that work at TLB are amazing and so accommodating and couldn't do more for you! The venue includes amazing accommodation for the guests too which was perfect for us, meaning waking up and getting ready for the big day was really easy and efficient. Once all our decor was ready the morning of the wedding, we knew it was the perfect choice for our big day, it looked better than we ever imagined! The whole weekend was hiccup free and the team were always on hand if you needed them, it really was perfect. Couldn't thank Thirsk Lodge Barns and the team enough for making our day as special as it were!

I first viewed Thirsk Lodge Barns with wellies and a hard hat on and when the venue was still in the building process but from the moment I walked in, I knew it was the venue for us. I went home and told my husband to be that I found the dream venue and with only seeing pictures and describing it to him he was also sold.

From the start to finish, the team at Thirsk Lodge Barns were outstanding and no task or request was too big.

The day before the wedding the team were so helpful and got stuck in helping us set up and even baked a cake for me & my family to enjoy while we set up!!

The venue, team and accommodation were just out of this world! We cannot recommend this venue enough!

I first viewed Thirsk Lodge Barns on my own on the way back from a work trip to “tick it off the list”… and from the moment I walked in, I knew it was the venue for us! I returned the day after with my husband (then fiancé) and we both fell in love with it - and the team!

Everything about the venue has been considered, from the private “VIP” room and bathroom for the bride and groom to use, to the separate meal/reception rooms, wheelhouse “quiet” area, bar and the gorgeous courtyard. Unlike other barns we had viewed, this one was warm, welcoming and featured some gorgeous design details. Every time we saw it, it seemed to look even better than the last. After our first viewing, we were concerned about it looking worn/tired/used by the time our wedding came round but it was quite the opposite - it was exceptional, got better and better with each visit, and still looked brand new on our day. Things we loved were that we wouldn’t need to rely on the outdoor space, but it was there should the british weather allow us to use it, and also how accessible it was for all of our guests who were travelling from Newcastle, London, Scotland, Wales - there was abundance of accommodation a 5 min drive away but yet the venue feels completely secluded and private. We didn’t want to get married in a huge stately home with acres of land but did want somewhere that felt exclusive and welcoming - and it was that and more. We also love the fact that regular foodie nights and events meant we could visit as many times as we wanted/needed to in the run up and also can continue to do so to keep this gorgeous venue part of our lives.

The team are ABSOLUTELY AMAZING. They were the most helpful, positive, friendly girls throughout the planning process, set up, wedding day and day after. When people say “nothing was too much trouble” this has actually never been a truer statement about Letty, Abi, Kate and Emily, as well as Toz and the team on the day. If I sent an email asking how tall the cocktail glasses were or how long the tables were - I had an answer the same day… Even though we knew they were fully booked for weddings in the whole run up to ours, they made us feel like ours was the only one happening and whenever we saw anyone in the team they welcomed us like friends.

We got married on 1/4/23 and it really was the best day! SO many of our guests commented on how gorgeous the venue was, which I wasn’t expecting! If anything went wrong on the day, we weren’t aware of it, we felt like it couldn’t have been more perfect and it was chilled, gorgeous and loads of fun which is exactly what we’d hoped for. If we could do it all again we absolutely would, and would recommend anyone to choose this venue - you will NOT be disappointed!
