Facilities and Capacity

The Tithe Barn is a rustic setting that offers a little bit more. Overlooking the Bolton Abbey Priory ruins, the property carries a distinct atmosphere of a time gone by. Guests will be enthralled by the hooped copper lanterns, ancient beams, and fine aged flagstone throughout the majestic venue. Licensed to hold ceremonies, you can host your entire day in one inspiring place with ample areas to explore and embrace. Here, up to 200 guests can watch as you start a new chapter before breaking out into the outdoor terrace. Massive medieval chandeliers change from the vaulted ceiling, embellished with cut glass that refracts candlelight across the room. Exposed wooden beams and stone walls surround the room, creating a warm setting to make your guests feel like they're stepping back in time. This open space includes fire pits and plenty of seating for post-ceremony drinks. Afterwards, the barn is transformed into an intimate dining hall, accentuated by uplights and fairy lights woven through the beams. In addition, the contemporary kitchen faces out onto the dining room, allowing guests to watch the talented chefs work their magic. Once the feast is over, the event space can be opened up for a further 100 guests, allowing you and your guests to dance the night away.

Incredible venue, food and staff!

We had the most incredible wedding here in December this year. The barn had a wonderful Christmas feel and we didn't need to add anything other than flowers and table decor. The food was delicious - the dauphinoise potatoes were a real hit with guests. The day ran so smoothly, the staff were so attentive and on the ball. We then had a great party in the evening! We had so many comments from guests around the food, the staff and the venue - I couldn't recommend Tithe Barn enough!

The Tithe Barn, Place Where Fairytale's & Dreams Come True

The Tithe Barn, my god what else can we say other than it was the perfect place to host our wedding, the staff, food, drink and venue were all outstanding. There was no point during our wedding where it didnt go smoothly thanks to the flexibility and understanding the staff have for hosting a wedding any problems or issues that were brought up prior to our wedding was easily recterfied and sorted for both parties to be happy with the outcome, ie we had some very last minute cancellations and because the food and drink was alreafy ordered for those people, it just ment extra food/drink for the remaining people and a wonderful goodie box of leftovers which i have taken great pleasure in using up, because the food was that wonderful couldnt leave it to be wasted.

Thank you The Tithe Barn, anyone who i know to be getting married i will forsure be sending them your details and your way for there own wedding!!!!!

The perfect Yorkshire wedding venue!

The Tithe Barn was the perfect wedding venue and as soon as we saw it for the first time, we knew it was the going to the be place we were going to get married! The inside is so lovely that you really don’t need to do much more in terms of decoration and the views from the outside of Bolton Abbey are stunning.

In the run-up to the day, the team at the Tithe Barn were brilliant, always quick to reply to emails, happy to jump on calls when needed, and really helpful with all the details. In the final weeks, they made sure everything came together smoothly and took a lot of pressure off us.

On the day, Holly was an amazing coordinator. She and the team kept everything running perfectly, looked after us and our guests, and made sure we didn’t have to worry about a thing. We had so many comments from guests about how great the venue was, and the food was excellent too.

We couldn’t have asked for a better experience and would definitely recommend The Tithe Barn to anyone planning their wedding!

We love the Tithe Barn!

We know it's a cliche, but we had the perfect day at the Tithe Barn! Throughout the whole process, they have been so helpful, answering any questions and having everything on a handy app to make it easy to refer to. When we first went to see it we were struck by how beautiful it is, and the setting is incredible. On the day, they were extremely welcoming and did everything so professionally yet with a personal and relaxed feel. Our guests all commented on how efficient but relaxed the day was run.
A special shoutout to Dan, who helped the bridesmaids set their hair and took the time to arrange my dress perfectly before I walked down the aisle! We can't thank the whole team enough, we would thoroughly recommend the Tithe Barn to anyone, Sophie and David ❤️

What a venue!

We recently had our wedding at Tithe Barn, and it was everything we dreamed of and more. From the moment we saw the place, we knew it was the perfect place to say "I do." The setting is absolutely stunning—beautifully maintained, a huge all incorporating indoor space, and so many thoughtful details throughout.

The staff went above and beyond to make our day run smoothly. From planning to the big day itself, they were responsive, professional, and genuinely caring. The team at Tithe helped us every step of the way and ensured everything was flawless.

Our guests couldn’t stop raving about the setting, the atmosphere, the food, and the overall experience. The venue provided the perfect backdrop for our wedding reception, and the photos turned out incredible.

We feel so grateful to have found Tithe Barn, and we couldn’t imagine getting married anywhere else. If you're looking for a venue that combines beauty, service, and professionalism, look no further!

The Wedding of Our Dreams at Tithe Barn

We recently had the absolute joy of celebrating our wedding at Tithe Barn, Bolton Abbey, and we can honestly say it was everything we dreamed of and more. From the moment we first visited, we were completely enchanted by the breathtaking setting – nestled in the heart of the Yorkshire Dales, with stunning views of the river, abbey ruins, and countryside. It’s the kind of place that makes your heart skip a beat and your photos look like something out of a fairytale.

Right from the start, the staff at Tithe Barn were phenomenal. A huge thank you to Sam, who gave us our first tour of the venue and helped us see the potential of the space – her warmth and enthusiasm made us instantly feel at home. And Julia, our coordinator on the day, was a complete superstar. She was calm, kind, and totally on top of every detail. Nothing was too much trouble, and thanks to her, everything ran like clockwork – we were able to truly relax and enjoy the moment knowing we were in such capable hands.

Throughout the planning process, the team were incredibly patient, responsive, and helpful. Whether it was answering endless questions or tweaking timings, they made us feel completely supported. On the day itself, they worked tirelessly behind the scenes to ensure everything was perfect – and it really was.

Let’s talk about the food – wow! Our guests are still raving about how delicious everything was. It really added to the whole experience and was a huge highlight for us and our guests.

We’ve had so many people tell us it was the best wedding they’ve ever been to – and we completely understand why. The venue, the food, the atmosphere, the team – it all came together in the most perfect way. If you’re considering getting married here – do it. You will not regret it for a second.

The most incredible venue and team - made our day so special!

We couldn’t be happier with our experience at this venue - everything was handled with such professionalism, care, and attention to detail from start to finish.

The pricing and process were completely transparent, which gave us confidence from day one. The team were incredibly efficient and responsive, making the whole planning journey feel smooth and under control - no question was ever too much, and they always made us feel like we were in safe hands.

The service was consistently high quality, and the staff on the day were professional, diligent, experienced, and fun to be around – they added to the fun and exciting energy of the day! A big shoutout to Sam who was amazing all day!

We also found the online portal really helpful - it kept us engaged and up to date with every step, making communication with the team simple and organised.

The food and drink were exceptional, both in quality and value - we had so many compliments from guests. And of course, the venue itself is absolutely stunning. Everyone commented on how beautiful the setting was - it truly made for the most perfect backdrop to our day.

One tip for couples... the Tithe Barn directory on their website is fantastic, we used many of them and they were all the dream!

Weddings can be stressful, but the team made it feel calm, effortless, and truly special. Thank you for helping us create memories we’ll treasure forever.

The most perfect day

My partner and I got married at Tithe Barn on 22 02 25 and it was honestly the most perfect day for us.

Right from our first visit to the venue we fell in love with the barn. Add to that how attentive all of the staff have been since we confirmed our booking (right from then all the way through to the days just after the wedding), we could not recommend Tithe Barn and the Cripps & Co staff more.

The ability to use the quote function on the website was a huge plus for us during the venue scouting phase and in the weeks after we had confirmed Tithe Barn as our wedding venue. It's flexibility really did mean there were no hidden costs and it also meant that we went to visit the venue for the first time with a true view of cost (something we found most other venues avoid providing until after you have visited).

Cripps & Co use a portal platform as a one stop shop to keep on top of the wedding quote, timetable for the day, manage supplier information and also as a comms inbox with the staff. This again made our life so so easy, especially with the responses in the comms inbox being so prompt (majority within 24 hours).

We would highly recommend the feast nights as a way to get a real feel for the food that cripps have to offer. We attended in Jan 24 and while the menu wasn't exactly what we were expecting to pick for our own wedding, it gave a large range of what to expect and it was all fantastic. We went home suitably stuffed and it came away with added comfort on how much of a hit the wedding breakfast be (because the food was outstanding). It was a really great evening to say the least and really interesting to sit on a table with other couples that were on the lead up to their day too.

The lead up to the big day felt seamless, with a meeting a few months in advance to confirm everything as well as regular comms whenever needed. A huge positive for us on the day itself was that the team honestly set everything up themselves. While we provided instructions and the required decoration etc, the groom and groomsman only had to drop items off and that was it. This made for a much less stressful morning than I can imagine and know has been the case for family and friends.

We're probably missing a few more points on why someone should absolutely use Tithe Barn as a wedding venue but to summise...you would absolutely not regret it.

Thank you to absolutely all of the staff that were involved. Dan and Laura on the day who were our key contacts during the day and evening respectively, were awesome.

The most magical place ever!

We have just had a Christmas wedding here in December and it was the most amazing beautiful place ever! If you are thinking of booking here then please do…you will not be disappointed! Every person I dealt with here were so helpful and supportive, the food and drinks are amazing and the decor and glitter ball are simply stunning! Everything ran so smoothly, things were carried out without me knowing or having to worry about, it was so good. I can’t say enough about Tithe Barn, I’m devastated it’s over haha! Please please book here!

My wedding 07.11.2024

We had our perfect day at the tithe barn and u cannot recommend it anymore.
The food- outstanding!!!! We had the chicken and rump with chimichanga, the gratin dauphinoise was what we chose for sides and again it was outstanding and our guests were very impressed!

We used the barn for our wedding cake as a cheese cake- yes it’s on the pricier side, however it was a great snack for the evening and there was plenty we took home!

The staff were again outstanding. So helpful! Played with our little boy and helped run the day so smooth! We have been to 7 weddings this year alone, and I can honestly say I have never experienced such quality of service than what these guys provided. Everything was just brilliant and smooth I really am thankful!
I wish I could do it all over again as it was just everything !

Autumnal Wedding Dream

We held our October wedding at the Tithe Barn and it was the best decision we ever made. The venue is absolutely stunning - both inside the barn and outside with the views of Bolton Abbey. It looked incredible on the day. The whole team were very helpful and professional from the first time we visited, answering all of our questions and also advising us with decisions. On the day they were just amazing - everything ran so seamlessly that we never had to think about what to do or what was coming next. A particular mention must go to the food which is superb - many of our guests (including those who work in catering) commented that it was the best food they've ever had at a large event. We would highly recommend choosing the Tithe Barn.

Wonderful venue

We instantly fell in love with the Tithe barn, its beatiful decoration and majestic views of the Bolton abbey.

This venue is utterly UNMATCHED! Stunning from start to finish 🥂

Me and my… HUSBAND, had our day on 31.07.24. We had our dream wedding and this is all thanks to the Tithe Barn staff. They ensured that the day ran so smoothly from start to finish. Our guests have complimented over the last few days just how smooth it went. Throughout the planning process the staff were always quick at responding to any queries we had. They truly are amazing. If we could do the whole day again… we would in a heartbeat. Also a particular thanks/shoutout to Steve who co-ordinated most of the day, he was brilliant and so supportive! The drinks kept flowing, the food was amazing and worth every single penny!! The venue seriously is UNMATCHED!! I will be recommending this venue to any future brides! Amazing from beginning to end!!!

Thank you so much to Holly and the Tithe Barn team - our wedding was even more wonderful than we could’ve imagined. From first enquiry all the way through to the day after the event, the team were BRILLIANT, kind, helpful, and had thought of everything to help the day run smoothly and beautifully! The food was amazing, the groomsmen commented on how little they had needed to do before the ceremony as the team had taken care of it all so well! In the run up to the day, I had sent emails asking some questions just to put my mind at ease, and the team were so responsive and patient. Honestly, I cannot recommend highly enough!

We had a pretty big wedding (160people) for a ceremony and reception at the venue and the space was perfect!

Unforgettable

We got married here 14.06.24 it’s was the most magical day from start to finish! The venue looked unreal, the barn itself doesn’t need much to look spectacular as it’s just gorgeous especially if you get the sunshine! Steve who looked after our wedding couldn’t have been more helpful and genuinely wanted to make sure our day went exactly like we wanted which helped all those wedding day nerves.
