Howard Court is a wedding venue located in Great Ayton, North Yorkshire. This stunning rustic property brings you the very best sights of rural Yorkshire, painting the perfect backdrop against which to celebrate your special day. You and your guests will create memories of a lifetime here, fondly revisiting them for years to come.
Facilities and Capacity
Howard Court is set across 22 acres of woodland with elegantly restored barns for your exclusive use. You can prepare for your day in the bridal suite, soaking up the atmosphere of the property ahead of your festivities. Your ceremony can take place in the Old Dairy, with its floor to ceiling windows flooding the barn with beautiful light. You can also choose to get married in the Mediterranean style courtyard or in the secret garden, against a backdrop of serene countryside scenery.
The Stable Barn is the perfect space for your wedding breakfast, with its original beams adorned with fairy lights and its warm rustic red brick walls.
The barns have ample space for your evening band or DJ, with a spacious dance floor and option to add on a cocktail bar for the evening festivities. Or make use of their beautiful, festoon-lit courtyard as your dance floor under the stars.
The grounds are replete with photo opportunities, with breathtaking views of the Cleveland Hills and Roseberry Topping, Here your photographer can capture those special memories.

A Perfect Winter Countryside Wedding
We got married at Howard Court last month and were so impressed by everything about it - from our first show around, everything felt so personal and the staff couldn’t have been more helpful. We never felt like this venue was a ‘wedding conveyor belt’ like others we had visited and it always felt like they truly wanted us to have the best wedding day possible
Being able to get to know our coordinator Tara helped everything to feel so calm on the day as we had our full trust in her that she would ensure everything ran smoothly. We couldn’t recommend the Howard Court coordinators more!
The venue is in the most beautiful setting which allowed us to get the countryside wedding we wanted - we were lucky with the November weather and able to have our first dance outside under the courtyard lights and also do sparklers and firepit outside which was perfect

A dream venue
Howard Court, what can we say! We didn’t look at any other venue, from the minute you walk in you feel part of the Howard Court Family, nothing is a problem, communication is fantastic, the venue is yours for you to do what you want, the staff all have so much knowledge and are helpful with ideas. Our wedding co-ordinator Tara, was a dream to work with she was professional, relaxed, fun, sorted the full day, liaised with all our suppliers and completely took any stress away. If you are looking for a relaxed venue, with amazing staff in a beautiful setting with the most perfect barns, Howard Court is the place!

Wow best day ever
From the very first viewing, we knew Howard Court was the one. The owners were so warm and welcoming, it instantly felt like one big family. On our wedding day, Jules coordinated everything so beautifully. From start to finish I didn’t have to think or worry about a single thing as I knew we were in safe hands!
The venue itself is stunning, with such a relaxed and homely atmosphere, and the surrounding area is just breathtaking. With the rolling North Yorkshire countryside all around, it created the most perfect backdrop for our day.
We honestly couldn’t have wished for a more perfect venue or a more supportive team! Howard Court will always hold such a special place in our hearts.

Unique Gem creating the Best Day of Our Lives
We were really lucky to find Howard Court.
We wanted an intimate venue for 70-80 guests, and fell in love with the Yorkshire farmhouse and barn aesthetic that suited us to the ground. We needed minimal decoration to personalise the space for us and received so much support from Tara and the team in personalising our special day. The courtyard is a great sun catch and provides shelter on cooler days.
We really recommend having the evening do in the barn instead of the Old dairy, the enclosed space with it's fairy lights was absolutely rocking with our band, with the pop up cocktail bar keeping everyone hydrated. Really recommend the Pizza Engine guys who we discovered through Howard Courts open day, everyone still raves about the pizza!
Excited to see how this venue evolves. We were the first to have their permanent bar enclosure in the courtyard and they have since started installing a professional kitchen on site (somehow they delivered 12 roast beef joints from the farmhouse kitchen for our wedding).
We would do it all again tomorrow in a heartbeat

The wedding venue of dreams!! 🤍
From the moment we drove up the stoney drive way and cast our eyes on the beautiful cottage of Howard Court, I genuinely got butterflies.
I turned and said to my now Husband ‘I feel this is the one’
We met Caroline and the Old Dairy was in the process of being renovated to become the absolutely dreamy ceremony room I had the pleasure of walking down the aisle in.
It took us no time to decide and 2 years in the making our beautiful wedding was held in May 2025.
We had the absolutely amazing Kirsty as our wedding co-ordinator.
Kirsty was so responsive, especially in the weeks running up the wedding. She reassured me, answered all my crazy questions, some questions she answered several times 😂 she has the patience of a saint.
We had a panic as 4 weeks before our wedding, our evening food vendor had to cancel.
I messaged Kirsty, not even expecting her to help but to make her aware.
Within 24hrs she had cast her net across suppliers and was able to get us another supplier at that short notice.
She is absolute magic and to top it off, the supplier was better than our first choice. What a gem! 🌟
The whole day went seamlessly because of Kirsty and her magic coordination skills, nothing was too much trouble!
The beauty of Howard Court will forever be cherished by me and my husband and the memories made that day.
The whole day was gorgeous. The suppliers, the new bar area, the detail, everything was truly amazing!!!
Our guests were amazed and everyone said how stunning the place was.
We are gutted it’s over and are desperate for a reason to visit again!!

Perfect North Yorkshire Wedding Venue
We got married at Howard Court in September 2024 and it was the most perfect day. We always knew we wanted a countryside wedding in North Yorkshire, and after viewing only one venue, we knew Howard Court was the one for us. Our wedding day was absolutely perfect in every possible way and we just wanted to say a massive thank you to all the Howard Court team. Kirsty and Tara were amazing throughout our wedding planning process and filled us with confidence that everything would run perfectly, which it did! Thank you so much Kirsty for being our wedding co-ordinator, we only wish that we could do it all over again!

Absolutely stunning!!
Wow! What can we say! We had the absolute privilege of getting married at Howard Court on 21st March. And what a day it was!
Howard Court is absolutely stunning. A massive thank you to Tara, Caroline and the team who pulled out all the stops to make sure our day was absolutely perfect. There was literally no task too difficult. They were so helpful, so amazing, and the day went smoothly. My only disappointment was that it couldn't last longer!!

Amazing team and venue
As soon as we visited Howard Court we knew it's where we wanted to get married. The venue is stunning and the team keep working on it, making it even more gorgeous. The day of the team were so helpful and lovely and really helped us to have the most relaxed and fun wedding experience.

Dreamy Barn for Custom Wedding
When we saw Howard Court, we fell in love immediately. It was the ideal venue, at an amazing price and would allow us to have the flexible relaxed day we wanted. We had a string of food trucks, we operated an honesty bar and the day was absolutely perfect.
