Amazing Venue
Venue Service

By Rachel & Peter, on 06 Feb 2019Date of Wedding - 18 Aug 2018

We got married here in August 2018. It was the only venue we looked at & we loved it & booked immediately. The house is beautiful & the gardens are stunning. We had our ceremony in the medieval hall with the reception outside. We made the most of the stunning gardens by using different areas for arrival drinks, the wedding breakfast, a dessert table & drink stations. There were also some surprises around the house & gardens including a memory table, pick & mix Lindt chocolates, giant garden games, prizes in the maze, a photo booth & a garden filled with photos of the guests hanging from the trees. There are not many venues that will allow your imagination & creativity to run wild & help you with it too. Our guests still talk about all the surprises. The staff were great, very helpful & they clearly worked hard to help pull off all our ideas. Again, I cannot emphasise enough how fantastic the gardens are, my guests were hard to move from outside to inside for the dancing! Highly recommend this venue & hope your wedding day is as magical as ours was

The most perfect relaxed day

We wanted a small, relaxed wedding and that is exactly what we got! Family and friends all said it was like a wedding they had never experienced before. We couldn't fault the day and our wedding photos are a perfect reminder every time we look at them.

Perfect for a relaxed wedding

We had a wonderful wedding at Crook Hall. My sisters, my mum and I stayed in the lovely apartment above the cafe on the night before, which left us with a short walk up to the hall on the morning of the wedding. We loved getting ready at the hall. We had a lot of handmade touches, which the Crook Hall team helped set up. We felt involved throughout and the day was just what we wanted. Relaxed and welcoming and the perfect way to celebrate with our family and friends. The afternoon teas were wonderful and we loved the hog roast was just right in the evening. Although it was winter, the garden still looked beautiful, particularly as the sun set - you can never have too many fairy lights!

Hello Maria and David, Thank you so much for this lovely review..... and an especially big thank you for being the first couple to review us on this website, which we have only just joined. It was an absolute privilege to host your wedding. Winter weddings are magical at Crook Hall aren't they? As you say, you can never have enough fairy lights- and we have a lot! I also love to see all the candles lit, and of course the fires roaring away in the Jacobean Room and the Medieval Hall. Thank you for trusting us with such an important day in your lives. I know that the whole team here loved being part of your day, and join me in sending you both our very best wishes.
