Oh my days... we had our wedding at The Moorlands on Friday 10th July and it was beyond perfect. The venue is absolutely stunning, both inside and out, could not fault it one bit. The wedding coordinators (Megan & Molly) could not have been more amazing, every single detail was attended to, nothing was too much trouble right through planning until the doors closed at the end of the evening. The wait staff made a conscious effort to find me several times throughout the day to make sure I had chance to try the canapés and brought me my own personal board of them all (super important to me as I'm a huge foodie! Big thanks to Eva!) and to check everything was okay. The food itself exceeded our expectations, we know Tracey and the team are culinary geniuses but just wow, blown away, our guests are still mentioning how incredible the food was!

The atmosphere was genuinely euphoric, so much space to create our literal dream wedding with all kinds of crazy ideas including a 30 minute variety show (full theatre style seating for which was hidden behind a curtain behind our top table as a surprise for our 80 guests), caricaturist & illustrator, garden games, a full game of football, bridesmaid pyramid and a 4-person sack race tournament in the gorgeous private lawn out back!

Drinks flowed all day, we chose to put money behind the bar instead of having wine on tables as we don't drink wine so didn't think it was very 'us', lots of venues would not have been so accommodating of our obscure requests but nothing was too much trouble. If you are thinking of getting married and perhaps don't want to do everything 'traditionally', go visit The Moorlands, you absolutely will not regret it. We want to do it all over again!

Jodie and Simon, the owners, definitely know what they are doing and it shines through in how happy and friendly their team are. We are immensely grateful that you let us go wild with our imaginations, and allowed us to use your beautiful venue to create our idyllic wedding. We would not have changed a thing (apart from we wish we had brought takeout boxes for the food we just couldn't fit in!)

100% recommend and have already told everyone I know that there is no other venue better than The Moorlands!

The Moorlands was the perfect venue for our wedding! From the start, Molly and Megan were helpful and professional. Everything we wanted they accommodated, including changing the alcohol available and nothing was too much to ask. They made the venue look beautiful and the day ran perfectly. The staff were attentive and professional to all our guests. Everyone commented on how delicious the food was and they really looked after our dietary requirements - even brining them their own canapés, which was a lovely touch. I would highly recommend the venue!

Honestly the team at the Moorlands made our wedding a dream come true, so many people commenting on the quality of the day and how it all looked.
To have an affordable venue, that looks high end and expensive is so important for couples and you nailed it.
The amount that is included in the package is amazing and the whole day was stress free and ran effortlessly.
The food quality was also fantastic and well presented.
I cannot recommend this venue enough. It was perfect from start to finish and I want to do it all over again 💚

We got married at The Moorlands in April, and it was the most perfect day. Megan was amazing, keeping me calm and making sure everything ran smoothly. We’ve had so many compliments on the stunning venue, food and décor. Thank you to Megan and Molly for all your help and for letting our doggies stay longer. Was a lovely day from start to finish, the whole process of planning the wedding was easy they listened to what we wanted as a couple and was on hand the help out if needed. We would definitely recommend the moorlands it a beautiful place and stunning surrounds the walled garden is lovely staff are friendly

Our wedding day was held at The Moorland from start to finish and what an incredible venue it is! The staff are amazing and make sure everything runs smoothly meaning I didn’t need to worry about anything on the day. The food was incredible and everyone who attended told us how nice it was. The Moorlands is the only wedding venue we visited and instantly fell in love with it and it was even more spectacular on the day, I couldn’t have asked for a better place to get married. There was so much included in the price light up Mr & Mrs, Photo Booth, DJ, table decorations meaning that we really didn’t need to worry about the venue or arranging things for it. Thank you to all the staff at Moorlands for making the day so special, I cannot recommend it enough.

We loved the support from Megan, Molly and team throughout the entire process. This is a beautiful venue and we are lucky to have found it for our wedding day. Every single detail went by perfectly and we are so happy we got to spend our big day here. Food, space, the team, we wouldn't change a single thing.

I had my wedding day 2 and a half weeks ago & it was honestly the best day ever. The staff at the Moorlands were amazing, making sure the day ran smoothly and everything went to plan. The food was AMAZING and all of our guests are still talking about the day (especially the food) now! The meetings in the run up to the wedding were super helpful and the team were really quick to answer any questions we had. Thank you SO much for the best day

We chose this venue while working with a tight budget, and we couldn’t believe the value for money. So many extras were included and the beautiful setting really made it feel special from the start. Our guests thought we had spent twice as much as we had. By the time we added our own personal touches the space felt completely us.

The food was absolutely outstanding and every single guest commented on how delicious it was and how generous the portions were. It is a very spacious venue and we only had 64 during the day and 140 for the evening but it never felt empty.

In the lead up to the big day, we had a few moments of uncertainty as we had a very specific vision in mind, and we weren’t sure how everything would come together. But on the day itself, the team were amazing. They went above and beyond to make everything run perfectly. Even though everything was DIY, they were incredibly helpful - from setting up the day before to switching décor throughout the day, nothing was too much trouble.

I honestly wish I could do the whole day again. It was absolutely perfect, and so much of that is down to the venue and the team. We’re so grateful, it was better than we ever could have imagined.

From booking 2 years ago we've had a fantastic service. The Moorlands is perfect with a great ceremony and reception space and a great outdoor area. The food was amazing! All our queries and worries were answered quickly and professionaly. The wedding team are amazing and friendly. I would highly recommend having a wedding here.

We held are wedding reception at the moorlands loft on the 24th June when me and my husband walk in to the room it looked amazing thanks to Susan and Sarah for organising it we chose the wedding breakfast for are meal the food was delicious and plentiful sign of a good meal when all our guests were full. The presentation of all meals was perfect nothing was too much trouble for all the staff it was a perfect venue for are wedding reception and i would highly recommend it to anybody looking for somewhere looking for a venue for that special day. We held our wedding ceremony and reception at the moorlands inn marquee and couldn't of been more impressed. Susan and Sarah went above and beyond to make our day perfect no request was not met and they were very helpful from when we booked. We had the most amazing wedding day in the marquee in September, Susan and the team could not have done any more to make our day absolutely perfect. We had access to the marquee the day before to set up the aisle and tables exactly as we wanted them to look. The food was gorgeous, my only regret is not managing to eat any food in the evening but everyone I spoke to told me how amazing it all was. I would recommend the moorlands to anyone looking for a wedding or event venue.
