Facilities and Capacity
Available on an exclusive-use basis, Dunedin Country House becomes your home for the day, allowing you and your guests to enjoy every moment in complete privacy. The venue offers their beautifully appointed Billiard and Drawing Rooms for ceremonies and wedding breakfasts of up to 100 guests, and evening celebrations of up to 160 guests, blending period charm with a warm, welcoming atmosphere.They also have the Lawn licenced for ceremonies, so you can say "I do" in the glorious sunshine if this is your vision.
The house is surrounded by a picturesque garden and a tranquil outdoor space, providing a stunning setting for drinks receptions and wedding photos throughout the seasons. The venue itself is stunning, and our guests couldn't stop commenting on how beautiful everything looked. Every detail was thoughtfully managed, creating a relaxed and enjoyable experience for both us and our families.
A special thank you to Beth, who went above and beyond to ensure everything ran smoothly. Their communication, organisation, and support throughout the planning process gave us complete confidence and allowed us to fully enjoy our day.
The food, service, and overall atmosphere exceeded our expectations, and the team handled every aspect of the day with warmth and professionalism. We felt truly cared for from start to finish.

Beautiful backdrop for our perfect day
The house and grounds are fabulous, and the package was very competitive in comparison to other local venues.
The wedding fayre helped us to chose other providers to complete the day, but Dunedin was happy to work with anyone we chose.
We were especially delighted that our three dogs were welcomed on site with open arms.
We cannot thank Dunedin, the staff, and Beth especially enough for helping us to have an entirely stress free preparation, and the most wonderful day and night we could have asked for.

From the moment we arrived, the whole team made us feel so welcome, and they played such a huge part in making our wedding day absolutely perfect in every single way.
The food was out of this world! Every single one of our guests commented on how amazing and outstanding the food was — honestly, it couldn’t have been better. 😍
And the room… WOW! 😍 It was absolutely stunning and everything we had dreamed of. We will definitely be coming back to Dunedin Country House for our anniversaries! 🥂❤️
The staff went above and beyond for us and did everything they could to make our day as perfect and special as it was. I honestly don’t know what we would have done without you all.

From start to finish everything was planned with us in mind. The ease and support we got was top effort.
We couldn't of wished for more.
Right from us arriving for the wedding to leaving we were made to feel relaxed looked after nothing was too much or couldn't be done or it had already been thought of.
All our guests family and friends are still commenting about how special and amazing the day was.
The staff at Dunedin are superior at there jobs. I would 100% recommend even just a look around to get a feeling for the place!

Our wedding day
From the moment we arrived, we were blown away by how beautiful the venue was. The grounds and surroundings created the most stunning backdrop for our wedding photos, and every part of the venue felt elegant, welcoming, and full of charm.
What truly made our day unforgettable was the incredible staff. Every member of the team went above and beyond to ensure everything ran smoothly. They were professional, attentive, friendly, and genuinely cared about making our wedding day as special as possible. Nothing was too much trouble, and their support throughout the day allowed us to relax and enjoy every moment.
The food was absolutely to die for! Every course was beautifully presented and tasted amazing. It was clear that a great deal of care and attention went into every dish.
Dunedin Country House exceeded all of our expectations and gave us memories that will last a lifetime. We cannot thank the team enough for helping create such a magical day. Amazing Day
From start to finish our wedding day was amazing and this wouldn't have been so if not for both Helen and Beth. Helen is the owner and Beth is Duneden's Wedding Planner who is cool, calm and very knowledgeable and knows her stuff. This transcended across to both myself and my partner keeping us chilled at this very stressful time, as being a first time bride at the age of 66 and acquiring a pension and a husband in the same year lol, this must have been a challenge for her 😂.
They listened to what we wanted and did all they could, and more, to make our wishes come true.
The venue is beautiful and we were favoured with lovely weather so we got married outside in the delightful manicured gardens, then we moved inside for our wedding breakfast which was truly delicious and all our guests commented on how they enjoyed it.
We couldn't recommend this venue highly enough and, I'm sure if you choose to have your special day at Duneden House, you will be as delighted as we were with the surroundings, ambiance and most of all the friendly and most efficient staff who looked after us on our very special day making everything go so smoothly.

From our first wedding fair there, to leaving the morning after our wedding everything was just effortless.
The incredible Beth talked us through every option with ease and made our dreams realities.
The run up to the day was easy- with great communication and clarity.
The day itself…. Perfect.
From waking up in the beautiful Ivory room the day was a dream. The staff cannot do enough to help and make your day perfect and I was touched that a lovely staff member even came to bring me a juice as I was sitting outside treasuring every second of my wedding day (in my PJs!) at around 5.30am (August wedding! 🤭) and we had a wonderful breakfast to start the day.
Getting ready in the beautiful rooms was a treat in itself and again, Beth was there, ready to organise and help as we needed her between busily preparing the room for the ceremony. The rooms and venue as a whole- stunning and an absolute pleasure to enjoy.
The caterers and bar staff all go above and beyond with taste and presentation an obvious must for them. Everything was delicious and served with style and professional grace from staff.
The ceremony was faultless in the beautiful surroundings and the photos were fabulous in all the varied backdrops Dunedin has to offer.
Fabulous disco on the night along with more incredible food and beautiful rooms for our guests. We truly couldn’t be more grateful to Beth and everyone else at Dunedin who truly made our day more perfect than we could’ve ever dreamt of. We truly wouldn’t change a single thing.
Our other vendors used at the venue and highly recommended were: Peony & Pearl, Stephanie Harpist, Kerry Scorah Magician, The Wedding Games Company, Facebloke Caricatures and Ami’s Kitchen for the cake.

We had the most special and unforgettable day at Dunedin Country House. The venue itself is absolutely stunning — elegant, full of character, and beautifully maintained — yet still offered at a price that truly doesn’t break the bank. It gave us that luxury feel without the overwhelming cost.
A very special thank you to Beth, who supported us from the very first booking appointment right through to our wedding day. Her communication, patience and reassurance made the whole planning process feel smooth and stress-free. On the day itself, the team went above and beyond — even helping a slightly panicked bride get dressed and assisting with décor setup!

Hi, I'm Beth, your personal wedding coordinator here at Dunedin.
I love my job, which involves meeting new couples, helping piece together wedding plans, organising our Wedding Fayres and - most importantly - being on-hand on your wedding day to ensure everything runs smoothly.

Hi, I'm Helen, welcome to Dunedin!
Dunedin is actually my former home, we restored the beautiful building and raised our family here many years ago, and now we have the pleasure of hosting weddings and celebrations here.
One thing you should know about me is that I am a dog-lover! I have two labradors who I love taking on walks in the surrounding countryside - and your furry friends are more than welcome at Dunedin. Why not bring them along and we can piece together your perfect day!
