Stirk House have been amazing from start to finish. From meeting Mollie a year ago to have a look around it was clear that Stirk was the perfect venue for us. Nothing is ever too much for them and there is always a quick and friendly response to any queries.
On the day everything was so well planned and any queries we had were quickly actioned. Dave is the most energetic and friendliest toast master you could wish for, he genuinely makes the day even more amazing. Dave got our guests cheering and laughing throughout the day and he always made sure we had a drink in hand.
The food is second to none! The canapes were hot, fresh and truly delicious. The wedding breakfast was served on hot plates, the food was so good that all our guests commented saying how impressed they were. We went for the buffet in the evening and guests tell me it was the best buffet they have had. Unfortunately, the Groom and I were too busy dancing and drinking to eat any!
The rooms are also stunning. Our guests were that impressed several are now planning weekends away at Stirk House in the next few months. I can say the beds are so comfy too, my brother even wanted to see the brand of his mattress, it was just that comfy.
The grounds around Stirk House are simply lovely and if you are looking for a countryside location, this is perfect. We were fortunate to have picked a day in the current heatwave and basked in the sun out on the terrace overlooking the fields filled with lambs and wildlife, it was just perfect.
We are just sad it's all over now but we will definitely be back staying over for anniversaries and will pop over for lunch and afternoon tea too.

The moment we visited Stirk House, we knew it was the one. We'd always dreamed of getting married outdoors, and the scenery was absolutely breathtaking.
From the moment we booked, every member of staff was incredibly accommodating. As someone who worries, I emailed quite often, but I always received a fast, reassuring response. Nothing was ever too much trouble. We also found Stirk House to be very affordable. Unlike some of the other venues we looked at, there were no hidden costs, and everything was clear and straightforward.
The staff went above and beyond to make us feel welcome. I stayed the night before the wedding with our daughters and my best friend, and everyone was so friendly. A special mention to Ollie and Gabby, who made such a fuss of Lily and Gracie – it meant so much to us.
A huge thank you to Craig, who couldn't do enough for us.
Imogen and Shannon were on hand all day to make sure everything ran perfectly. There wasn't a single moment of stress for me because they had thought of everything. I simply labelled my decoration boxes, and they set everything up exactly as I had imagined.
A special shout-out also goes to Dave, our Master of Ceremonies. He truly made our day. Nothing was too much trouble, and he put so much effort into making sure everything was perfect. Our guests absolutely loved him, and so did we.
At one point, I insisted on climbing a tree for our photos! Our amazing photographer needed a step ladder to get the perfect shot, and Dave and another member of staff had one there almost immediately – no questions asked.
The food was phenomenal, and we genuinely felt so special throughout the entire day. It was the most perfect wedding, and it couldn't have gone any better. That's all thanks to the incredible dedication of the staff, who made Stirk House feel like a home away from home.
Our three-year-old daughter even thought she was on holiday and has already asked when we can come back – and we definitely will!

My daughter’s wedding recently took place at Stirk House and what a disappointment it was!!
From the wedding coordinators who are nowhere to be seen, to serving alcohol to guests who don’t drink. A full seating plan provided to help with any eventuality that was obviously never used for reference and an absolute farce from start to finish!
The decorations we did ourselves, bride and groom were not looked after as they had been told would happen. The list is endless of the problems through the entire day!!
Would never recommend unless you want nothing to be completed as requested!!

We recently had our wedding day at Stirk House and all I can say is that is was definitely not what we expected. I never thought I would be writing a bad review for them but here it is.

On the lead up to our wedding the team had always been great and very accommodating but when our day eventually came it was a completely different story.

Not one thing we discussed in our meeting prior to the wedding was followed. Guests allergies were completely forgotten and were served the wrong food and drinks. They had asked me prior to provide a detailed seating plan including all the allergies and requirements, which I did (all colour coordinated also) and not one thing was followed.

Staff on the day were so unhelpful and awful. Other than one of the band tenders who was in charge called Olly who was lovely and tried his best all night.

I was a very calm bride and wasn’t stressed at all until I got to the venue and the venue itself stressed me out to the maximum which I didn’t expect to happen.

Told one room would be ready to decorate as we arrived, then was told it wouldn’t be until the next morning. Then we were told our dog could stay in the main hotel and would be able to be with us on the morning when getting ready, when we arrived we were told this couldn’t happen.

I had to ask multiple times throughout the day could we have our drinks that we had ordered for us and other guests who were having different. 5 guests didn’t get served a drink until the dessert!

We had asked for the top tier of our cake to not be cut and to be given to us to take home. All the cakes had been cut up into random chunks and wrapped in cling film. Not to mention when one of the room helpers got our cake out of the fridge he actually ruined it and squished the cake (no apologies were given).

So many items where lost on our wedding day from staff picking them up and moving them and then not remembering where they moved them too. Not a mention I told the staff I had left my charger in our suite we just checked out of (I told them the exact plug it was in) and they were move bothered about the fact the next bride was going to go in the room so they won’t go in and get it and I will have to wait until the next day. (Shock they didn’t find it, magically. Just like everything else they can’t find!).

I feel as though we were completely forgotten about and I could go on forever with what happened on our day but I am going to call to discuss the further feedback we have.

The hotel is gorgeous and will always be a special place to us but I have never been so disappointed!

We honestly couldn't have chosen a better wedding venue than Stirk House. From the moment we started planning right through to the end of our wedding day, the staff were absolutely fantastic. Nothing was ever too much trouble, and both the wedding and events teams were always on hand to help, accommodating every request and the many changes we made along the way without hesitation.

A special thank you to Imogen, Shannon, and of course Dave. You were all incredible and played such a huge part in making sure our day ran seamlessly from start to finish. Your professionalism, kindness, and attention to detail gave us complete confidence, allowing us to relax and enjoy every moment.

The food deserves a special mention too. Both the meal the evening before and our wedding breakfast were absolutely delicious. So many of our guests commented on how amazing the food was and how beautiful the venue looked.

We truly had the most perfect day and wish we could do it all over again. We cannot thank everyone at Stirk House enough for making our wedding so special. We would 1000% recommend Stirk House to any couple looking for their dream wedding venue. You won't be disappointed!

Stirk House was the perfect venue. We instantly fell in love with the grounds and character of the venue when we saw it two years ago. The team are absolutely brilliant and can not do enough for you so attentive throughout. The service, food, decor and evening entertainment was fantastic. The team made sure the day went exactly as we had asked for. Dave was indeed his title and was a master at coordinating the day for us. He brought a great sense of fun and humour also

The staff have been brilliant throughout the whole experience, very approachable before hand when i had so many questions, all the staff were attentive during the wedding and then there was Dave! I dont think there was a family member or friend that didnt comment on how brilliant he was. He looked after every single guest.
Oliver was also brilliant, and Leah. Wish i got more of the staff names but i just didnt get chance.
The hotel itself is beautiful, the grounds, the rooms, the restraunt, the bar! Just perfect.

We visited a variety of venues at various price points before our visit to Stirk House.
We wanted somewhere to spend the entire day, so no worries around transport from A to B or timings to consider.
Stirk House is beautiful and the team that work there are polite, welcoming and happy you can see it in the way they work and their attentiveness to not only the bride & groom to be, but with every person there.
Before we booked the venue, we attended a couple of the taster days to ensure the food met our expectations. We needn’t have worried it was all delicious.
Dave, master of ceremonies is amazing. We had guests attending with autism and others requiring wheelchair access. Dave walked us through the accessibility routes that could be taken and consideration he would make towards our nephew.
The day was perfect in every way with everything, seamlessly, running like clockwork, again mainly due to Dave managing us and our guests through the ceremony, drinks reception, wedding breakfast and outside for fireworks.
Stirk House were also attentive to our suppliers, ensuring they were set up as required and they were kept refreshed throughout the day.
Little touches we provided such as the welcome mirror, seating plan and basket of confetti were set up and placed to our requirements.
We would wholeheartedly recommend Stirk House and intend on visiting regularly knowing what a gem we’ve found.

We honestly cannot put into words how incredible our venue was from start to finish. From our very first meeting, we felt completely looked after and confident that we were in the best hands. Molly was amazing, she took the time in the beginning of our planning process to really understand what we wanted, guided us through every detail, and made sure all of our needs were met with such care and professionalism.

The entire team were fantastic throughout the planning process. Communication was outstanding, and every question or request was responded to quickly and helpfully, which made everything feel so much less stressful.

From viewing stirkhouse last may we knew it was where we wanted to get married, we both instantly fell in love with the venue. Throughout the last 15 months the communication has been amazing with the coordinators, always replying to emails/phonecalls asap & keeping our minds at ease, everyone has been so helpful with advice/recomendations and we cant thank you enough! It made planning our wedding so much easier.

Stirk house exceeded our expectations by far! We booked our wedding back in October 2022 for 12th August 2025. The staff were amazing and quick at responding to my emails and answered any questions we had along the way.
On our wedding day the team took the lead and ensured every detail was perfect. I didn’t have to worry or think about anything at all. The team were highly organised and professional.

Dave was outstanding as toast master and our guests commented on how fabulous he was at arranging the day making sure everyone knew what was happening and where they needed to be.
