We’re not about a you-must-use-these-flowers list, there’s no one way to party on the estate, and there’s certainly no rush. Instead, you’ll get our help, ideas, endless styling options from our recommended suppliers, and an abundance of space to truly make it a day and night to remember.

Enchanting Ceremony Spaces
The Wild Apple Orchard - Setting the scene for a truly relaxed, romantic moment, our estate gardener has transformed the Wild Apple Orchard into a beautiful meadow, allowing the lawn to flourish naturally to create a serene space for exchanging vows, amongst the wildlife, in front of up to 150 seated guests.
The Old Malt Granary - Nestled in the private estate, the beautifully restored Old Malt Granary is home to our indoor weddings, civil ceremonies, blessings and renewal of vows. With high ceilings, exposed beams, original brickwork and large windows that flood the space with natural light, the Granary comfortably seats up to 150 people.
The Chapel House (1290) - Rich in history and lovingly restored, our namesake Chapel House provides an enchanting setting for elopements and micro-weddings steeped in atmosphere for up to 15 people.
For those looking for a church ceremony, we are moments from the charming Minster Church, it’s the perfect setting for your celebration.
Celebrate in Style
Thorne Barn - Celebrate in the charming Thorne Barn, home to our larger celebrations, with space for up to 150 daytime guests and 200 evening guests. A fabulous 1920s-inspired cocktail bar, outdoor terrace and plenty of room to party the night away.
The Glass Courtyard - For more intimate gatherings, the Glass Courtyard and adjoining Lounge Bar offer a relaxed yet refined setting for private dining, celebrations and post-wedding breakfasts. Light-filled by day and softly atmospheric by night, the space comfortably hosts up to 60 guests during the day, or up to 100 for evening celebrations.
Stay the Weekend
Make your celebration last with exclusive on-site accommodation for up to 38 guests (19 bedrooms across the site). Whether it’s close friends, family, or your wedding party, everyone can relax and unwind together.
Chapel House
Dating back to 1290, this lovingly restored house offers four bedrooms, including a romantic honeymoon suite with a freestanding bath and garden views.
Chapel Cottage
A cosy retreat with two king rooms and a bunk room, ideal for families or small groups staying the weekend.
Thorne Cottage
Next door to Chapel Cottage, this charming two-bedroom cottage offers a peaceful, stylish escape for up to four guests.

From Our First Visit to Our Wedding Day, It Was Perfect
The grounds are absolutely breathtaking and what makes this venue so special is the variety of spaces it offers. From the beautiful indoor areas to the stunning outdoor spaces, the courtyard, the barn and the terrace, every part of the estate feels unique and thoughtfully designed. It allowed our day to flow perfectly and gave our guests so many beautiful areas to enjoy throughout the celebration.
One of our absolute favourite things about Chapel House Estate was that the experience didn’t just start and end with the wedding day itself. Throughout the two years leading up to our wedding, we were able to visit so many times and genuinely fell more in love with the venue on every occasion. We attended pizza nights, BBQ evenings, supplier events, garden afternoon teas and their dine-and-stay experiences. It was such a lovely way to get excited about our wedding, try the incredible food and build relationships with the team.
Speaking of the team, every single person at Chapel House Estate is exceptional. Nothing ever felt too much trouble. They genuinely care about bringing your vision to life and work seamlessly alongside you and your suppliers to create your perfect day. Their professionalism, attention to detail and warmth made the whole planning process enjoyable and stress-free.
On the wedding day itself, everything exceeded our expectations. Our guests were completely blown away by the venue, the atmosphere and especially the food. So many people commented that it was the best wedding food they had ever had, which says a lot! Every element of the day flowed effortlessly, and we felt able to truly relax and soak up every moment knowing we were in such capable hands.
Choosing Chapel House Estate was without a doubt one of the best decisions we made throughout our wedding planning journey. It isn’t just a wedding venue - it’s an experience from start to finish, and one that we will cherish forever.
We genuinely cannot recommend Chapel House Estate highly enough. If we could do it all over again, we would in a heartbeat, just to relive the entire experience and our wedding day one more time.

Chapel House is a special place!
We got married at the beginning of April at this amazing place and everything was perfect from our first walk around!
All the staff are so friendly and made an effort to get to know us on a personal level, which made us feel so at ease. If you don't want to feel like you are on a conveyor belt for business, then this is the perfect venue. The whole day and every detail was able to be tailored to our preference. Nothing was every too much for them.
People leading up to our wedding were constantly saying to us 'it's okay if something goes wrong on the day' and we can honestly say nothing did. Loz and her team were simply brilliant, the whole wedding was just seamless, and the food is on another level...just stunning!
We visited the number nine restaurant multiple times before our big day, and all the staff at Chapel House Estate are all sold on the idea that Chapel House Estate is a venue that you return to after your wedding, and this is definitely the case with us. We already have been back for more and will definitely continue to do so.

We could not of had a more perfect day, and that is due to you all. Everyone we met was so kind, friendly and happy to help. The most amazing venue beyond five stars can not recommend you enough, all of our guests was blown away!

You won’t find a better wedding venue!
Chapel House Estate was the first venue we looked round and it set the bar so high, it simply couldn’t be beaten. They made the whole process of planning a wedding so much easier through their Sonas software and always being at the end of the phone/email to answer any questions. Everything was tailored to our vision instead of an ‘out of the box’ package.
When we came for our menu tasting, they made it such a special occasion and really helped us envision what the day would be like. Great food, great wine and great cocktails!
On the day Keeley and the rest of the team simply did not miss a beat. Everything ran seamlessly and exactly as we had discussed, which meant we could fully relax and take in the important parts of the day.
We have had nothing but positive reviews from our guests, all saying what a beautiful and well run venue it was.
We are so sad it’s over but already looking for our next excuse to come back and visit! ❤️
Wow!! What a wedding venue!! The best day of our lives 😍
A huge special mention has to go to our incredible wedding coordinator, Lori Wright. She was simply amazing throughout the entire process, always calm, helpful, organised and genuinely caring. She made everything feel completely stress free and nothing was ever too much trouble. Not only is she fantastic at what she does, but she is also such a beautiful person inside and out.
By the wedding day, I honestly think Lori was just as excited as we were! She always had a solution to every question, no matter how big or small, and was such an amazing support throughout the whole journey.
The venue itself is absolutely stunning and created the perfect setting for our wedding. Every single guest commented on how beautiful everything was. We are so grateful to the whole team at Chapel House Estate for giving us the most perfect day and memories we will cherish forever.
Utterly incredible - 5 star venue, team and food!
1. Venue
Every area of Chapel House is beautiful, and we really enjoyed moving around different parts (Granary, Courtyard, Barn) rather than staying in one spot for the whole day. The gardens are beautifully kept, and there are a number of places (indoors and outdoors) that look stunning in photos. Rooms in the house and the lodges are very comfortable and well designed. Our guests loved every part, and we got so many comments about how great a place it is.
2. Team
These guys know what they are doing. The whole venue is designed and run to make your day as amazing as possible. From the first minute we visited, we could tell the team were enormously friendly, professional, organised, and focused on giving us the best possible day. They immediately provided us with a flexible quote calculator which was really useful and transparent (no other venue we saw had this).
Once we had booked in a date, we were paired with Keeley, our wedding coordinator. We don't have enough words to describe how incredible she is. For the months leading up to the wedding, she was quick to answer all our questions, chased what we needed, and liaised with our suppliers. She had every minute of our day planned out and ready to go.
On the day, Keeley and the entire team made everything easy. We didn't have to think about a single thing - they had it all covered, and were genuinely happy to do so. They kept everything on time, handed us a glass of champagne when we needed it, and even helped out the bride with her dress bustle.
3. Food
Food is really important to us, and so it was a big part of our venue choice. The in-house catering team at Chapel House are superb. Not having to worry about finding an external caterer was a huge help. They have a large menu to choose from, and everything we tasted was delicious. Could not fault a single thing from our meal on the day. We also had multiple Vegan/Vegetarian guests, and we were really impressed with the options and quality they received
A Venue of Dreams in East Kent - Exclusive, Chic and a Home away from Home
A private venue with a chic and modern style balanced with a cosy country element that made it feel homely and special.
Having both grown up in East Kent, this venue was local but didn't scrimp on any of the luxuries which was exactly what we wanted.
The team's responsiveness, organisation and accommodating nature was second to none, making for a manageable planning process and a magical wedding day.
They really are pros at what they do. Both Loz and Keeley (wedding coordinators) are fabulous in every way. They helped us pull off a beautiful wedding and feel supported and reassured in the process. Jade and Flo were always available to answer our queries and put my mind at ease.
The food was incredible - offering tasting sessions before, fabulous winter stay packages on the run up to our special day and not forgetting the beautiful wedding breakfast which was served piping hot - we had so many complements that this was the best wedding food people had ever had! We didn't upgrade any of the food but did upgrade the wine after Chantelle blew us away.
Louisa made so many amazing recommendations for the cocktail bar and that was an absolute hit with all of our guests.
Chapel House was worth every penny. The grounds are so well managed and their recommended supplier list is so helpful during the planning phase. The accommodation is lovely - both in the main house and the lodges and we can't wait to see how the site grows over the next few years.
This all enabled our day to be everything we could have ever dreamed of and I'm sure we will be back time and time again.
