Beautiful grounds with lakes, streams and waterfall which create a magical atmosphere and beautiful photo locations.
What truly sets Coltsford Mill apart, though, is the incredible events planning team. Jo, Nikki, and Jan are simply superb. Their professionalism, warmth, and attention to detail made the entire planning process effortless and enjoyable. They were always on hand to offer support, advice, and reassurance, and nothing ever felt like too much trouble. They genuinely care about making your day special, and it shows in everything they do.
The food was another standout element. Every dish was beautifully presented and absolutely delicious – our guests are still talking about how amazing the meal was! From canapés to dessert, the quality and service were flawless.
On the big day, everything ran like clockwork. The team coordinated everything seamlessly, allowing us to relax and fully enjoy the celebration. The layout of the venue flows perfectly, with space to celebrate, dine, and dance the night away.

Honestly blown away! The team at Coltsford Mill is what helped us decide this was the place for us to get married! The team made us feel comfortable, heard and understood every single time we spoke to them! Every request we had, every email or meeting was met with kindness and professionalism. The venue itself is stunning, all aspects! The grounds and ponds especially! We loved the fishing, as that was my grandads hobby! He would have loved it! The food was unreal! So much we had extra desserts for us in the fridge in the cottage! The catering team were amazing with allergies and produced outstanding food! If you're looking for something a little bit different e.g. the Mill Room which has a very intimate and different background setting this place is perfect for you. Thank you so much Coltsford! We got married at Coltsford Mill in December last year and had the best day ever! The event team were highly professional, approachable, calm and just generally amazing from the moment we met back in April, right the way through to our big day and beyond! I felt completely secure in the knowledge that Jo, Jan, Nikki, Jacqueline and the rest of the dream team were there to support and ensure our day ran smoothly. No request went unanswered and I always felt that I could get in touch without inconveniencing them.

On my wedding day both James & I managed to lose our print outs of speeches and Jo was able to rustle up a couple of spare copies in a matter of seconds. The catering team also ensured that we had our share of canapés during the reception, which is definitely needed with a busy day of celebrating ahead!

The food was impeccable, the drinks were very reasonably priced and honestly I cannot recommend them enough, the team made my day perfect and I’ll remember it fondly forever x

We had the most amazing wedding day at coltsford mill. All the staff were so kind and helpful on the build up to the day, and the actual day itself! We saw a few venues, and as soon as we saw it we knew this was the place for us. It was so personal and all our guests said how wonderful the day was. Thank you Coltsford Mill for everything!

We had the most wonderful experience with Jo and her team at her gorgeous venue. Just that little hop, skip and a jump outside of London, the venue has such a wonderful green and gorgeous feel: it was absolutely all we could have imagined, and so much more.
For lots of reasons, we were relatively late to starting getting organised: Jo and her team looked after us beautifully from day dot. Every question asked, answered, every menu query, resolved. The food and drinks were exceptional. Everything went seamlessly thanks to their care and attention to detail, from the smallest to the biggest bits of the day. Nothing was too big of an ask— and on the day, Jo helped make sure our beautiful dog was ready, too! The team was consistently kind, thoughtful and caring.
4 and a bit months later (where does time go!) our guests are still writing to say just how beautiful, wonderful and truly full of love our wedding was— I still can’t believe how time has flown, but I treasure every moment we had at Coltsford Mill and its gift of a perfect start to our married lives. We got married at Coltsford Mill on 31st October 2025, and it was a truly magical experience in such a beautiful venue.

From the very start, Jo and her team were incredibly responsive. Communication was quick and reassuring, and we felt genuinely supported throughout the planning process.

As the groom, with a background in Event Production, my bride and I had the idea to celebrate in style with a Venetian Masquerade theme. Although it was ambitious with only a few hours to set up, I immediately sensed that Jo and her team would be brilliant to work with in transforming the space — and they absolutely delivered. Everything came together beautifully on the day.

On the day itself, everything ran smoothly and on time, with calm professionalism throughout. The team handled special requests, last-minute changes, and weather-plan contingencies brilliantly, so once the room changes were in place and our themed production was set, we could simply enjoy ourselves.

The venue is stunning. The ceremony room feels intimate and cosy with terrific views, a gorgeous layout, and really convenient accommodation for the bride and groom just metres away from the main guest areas.

Our guests especially loved the in-house catering, from the delicious canapés to the seated three-course dinner — we received so many compliments. Portion sizes were very generous, and the Coltsford Mill F&B team were constantly on hand for anything we or our guests needed.

In terms of value, Coltsford Mill was very reasonably priced, and having in-house catering made everything feel straightforward, transparent, and easy to coordinate. The only small thing to be aware of is that the outside reception area doesn’t fully offer wet-weather cover in the event of a sudden downpour — which, sadly, we experienced briefly! Even so, it didn’t take away from the day.

Overall, Coltsford Mill gave us the day we hoped for and more. We’d wholeheartedly recommend it to couples who want an exclusive venue space they can truly make their own and feel genuinely special. Thank you for making it unforgettable!

We happened upon Coltsford Mill as it was close to our home and very well served by railway for some of our guests.
We met Jo by appointment and we couldn’t have been happier. We didn’t want a large venue-we wanted something cozy and comfortable. They were so flexible to our requirements-nothing was too much trouble.
In the run up to our date we were invited to a tasting evening which was extremely helpful at deciding what we wanted. The day was absolutely perfect-sadly not the weather-i couldn’t wished for a better wedding day

A beautiful setting for our daughters wedding with lakes flowers and terraces. Jo and her team were friendly and professional from the outset making useful and helpful recommendations. Their attention to detail and help on the day meant everything went smoothly and everybody had an amazing time - a day we will always remember. Would highly recommend.

What can I say about Coltsford Mill? Jo and the team were fantastic from the start. We wanted to have our day be slightly different to the norm, we only wanted a handful of guests come in the day time, with the rest of our guests arriving in the evening, Jo and the team were incredibly accommodating with our requests and the day itself went by perfectly. They were great communicators, replying within a day.
The food was beyond all of our expectations, we had charcuterie and cheeseboards served at lunch, accompanied by sausage rolls, and quiches. It was by far the best lunch I've had in a while.
The canapes and evening BBQ was delicious and feedback from our guests was extremely positive. Jo also kindly put out the leftover cheese and meat in the evening.

I can't recommend Coltsford Mill enough, the venue is stunning, the team are amazing, and to top it all off they actually care, they want you to have the best day of your lives.

Nothing was too much, everything was triple checked but most importantly everything was done with such personable kind compassion and love towards us and our day. You truly did make our day amazing! Coltsford Mill is an absolutely stunning venue. We booked it for our autumnal wedding, and the whole space was absolutely gorgeous throughout the entire day, and was such a perfect background for the atmosphere we were aiming for.
But moreso than the venue itself, we were wowed by the professionalism of Jo and the team at Coltsford Mill. They wedding would not have gone nearly as well as it did without their advice, patience and attention to detail. Even on the day, they were so accommodating of last-minute changes, and it was so apparent that they really are experts in weddings.
Me and my wife owe them so many thank yous, it truly could not have happened without you!

The wonderful setting for our wedding at Coltsford Mill was perfectly complemented by the amazing team led by Jo: from our first visit we felt sincerely and warmly welcomed. The facilities – ceremony room, dining room, bridal cottage and guest cottage – are all first class. The peaceful rural / lakeside setting provides a magical backdrop for photographs. The dining menus offer a great choice and easily accommodate dietary needs. We were fortunate to have a private menu tasting which Jo was able to organise at quite short notice.
Detailed planning (meetings and emails) with Jo’s team went through every aspect of the day, so that on the day itself we were able to fully relax and enjoy every moment, knowing that we had a great team working alongside us to ensure everything ran smoothly.
The chef and his team produced an excellent meal and last minute changes were embraced without the bat of an eyelid!
Yes, we had a truly wonderful time, as did our guests – a memory to cherish. Thank you to every one of Jo’s team!

The venue's location was lovely and we got lots of compliments for it. The staff was also super friendly, especially the ones that helped us on the day- we're specially thankful to Luisa and Jacqueline- we felt so lucky having Luisa with us on the day! She introduced herself to my family as some are only Spanish speakers, and told them to ask her if they needed anything which I'm so thankful for. All the waiters were so kind and lovely, and the food was delicious so compliments to the chef.

We did have a couple of comments on how to improve- we needed CDs for the music which felt a bit outdated- we had to figure out a way to burn a CD when most laptops nowadays wouldn't come with a CD reader. They were accommodating in using our laptop for the music at the wedding breakfast however. Although they did warn us the quality wouldn't be as good.

Another thing was that a lot of the organizing was done through emails, and documents got misplaced. On the ceremony, for example, we'd asked for reserved seating and it wasn't done, so my husband had to awkwardly ask some people to give their seats up for our family.

Aside from this, lovely venue with lots of lush nature and gorgeous photo spots. We definitely think this is for the traditional couples. Very traditional wedding setting and organizing.

We had a wonderful wedding at Coltsford Mill in August. The venue and grounds are beautiful and the food was outstanding. The staff were all so welcoming, helpful and accommodating on both the day and the lead up to our big day. We have had so many comments from our guests on what a lovely venue it is.
