Bathed in natural light and panoramic views, the property sprawls across 12 acres of land with two stunning lakes and cascades from the River Eden. Every corner of this venue is poised for perfection, inviting couples to host their special day here in effortless style.
Facilities and Capacity
Coltsford Mill is a hidden gem set in a secluded waterside location and offers couples a beautiful backdrop for their entire wedding day. The original Mill can provide a historic and intimate setting for civil ceremonies with authentic watermill workings in the background. At the same time, the Barn is perfect for larger civil ceremonies with up to 150 guests. Guests can relax amidst the captivating countryside between the ceremony and wedding breakfast while the happy newlyweds enjoy taking photographs. For the evening reception, the Barn is also a beautiful location for dinner and dancing. At the end of the night, the newlyweds can retreat to the Bridal Cottage for their overnight accommodation with a complimentary breakfast before checking out.

Memories to cherish
Detailed planning (meetings and emails) with Jo’s team went through every aspect of the day, so that on the day itself we were able to fully relax and enjoy every moment, knowing that we had a great team working alongside us to ensure everything ran smoothly.
The chef and his team produced an excellent meal and last minute changes were embraced without the bat of an eyelid!
Yes, we had a truly wonderful time, as did our guests – a memory to cherish. Thank you to every one of Jo’s team!
A magical day
A beautiful wedding venue with impeccable service.
The team managed to fulfil all of our requests, including sourcing a beverage for us that was very difficult to find. The team was so accommodating and welcoming. When they found out that it would be raining on our day they quickly adapted to make it suitable for our guests.
The food was fantastic, particularly the beef, which received lots of compliments from our guests. Our guests also commented on the stunning venue and grounds, which were still beautiful in the rain.

A fantastic venue!
We had the most amazing wedding here at Coltsford Mill.
Jo and all the staff are fantastic, they were on hand to help with any questions and requests we had throughout our wedding planning process and the service they provide on the wedding day itself is second to none.
The beautiful Watermill Barn was the perfect room for our wedding breakfast and partying after, along with the outside heated terrace area looking over the grounds and lake and the separate spacious bar area where we had our photobooth.
Food was delicious and we had so many wonderful compliments from our guests.
We want to have our wedding day all over again!
