HMS Warrior

Words can't describe our joy to get married on this ship. It was stunning and all our guests loved it.

We honestly couldn’t recommend HMS Warrior enough as a wedding venue. From the planning beforehand to the day itself, the whole team were fantastic and made everything feel incredibly easy.

We met with the team twice in the run-up to our wedding and always felt that everything was completely under control. On the day, I was met by our event coordinator, Laura, along with our photographer, and from that moment I really didn’t have to think about anything. Laura walked my parents and me onto the ship, introduced us to our caterers, took us below deck to meet with the wedding officials and then made sure everything was ready for my entrance.

The music was absolutely on point for my entrance, signing the register and our departure into the reception. As we were lucky enough to have a beautiful day, Laura and the team seamlessly coordinated moving everyone from the lower deck to the upper deck so we could enjoy our drinks and nibbles outside. The area was cordoned off exclusively for us, which made it feel incredibly private and special despite being on such an iconic attraction.

We had a small wedding of just 25 people and HMS Warrior was absolutely perfect for what we wanted. We hired the ship for a few hours, had our ceremony followed by drinks and nibbles, enjoyed the ship and the views, and then walked into Gunwharf Quays for dinner and a few drinks afterwards. Everything was within walking distance and the whole day flowed perfectly.

I’m sure there was far more happening behind the scenes than I ever knew about because, from my perspective, I pretty much rocked up, got married, had a drink and left! And that probably says everything about just how well organised the team were.

A huge thank you to Laura and everyone at HMS Warrior for giving us such a special day. We genuinely wouldn’t change a thing.

Rachel was our events manager and we honestly can't speak more highly of her, professional throughout with constant communication and extremely supportive. The venue for us was just perfect, a venue like no other. All the guests was in awe of how beautiful and picturesque it was for our wedding venue.

We both work in the maritime industry and so we thought HMS Warrior was a venue "on-brand" for us. Despite being a ship of war, we were so pleased with how it looked on the day. We couldn't believe how romantic and special it was. Of all the weddings/ wedding venues our guests had been to in their lives, I am sure attending one on HMS Warrior would be hard for them to forget.

The events team at the museum were outstanding with their organisation, professionalism and communication. They made the planning process a lot less stressful.

Highly recommend; fantastic atmosphere and superbly managed by the Events Management Team to make our special day perfect.

We were very much struck with the professionalism of the Events team, in particular Laura who managed the day for us. She was extremely responsive, helpful, supportive and ensured that we had the most wonderful wedding day, including ensuring the Captain’s Cabin was warm enough for us. She struck the right balance of support on the day to reassure us our day would run smoothly. A perfect wedding day for us.

The staff were brilliant before, during and after the wedding. They were very helpful and accommodating when we had to postpone last year- they provide so much that they are great value for money. The day was perfect and just what we wanted!
