Stately Home Wedding Venues in Dorset

Minterne House was our wild card wedding venue but we knew as soon as we drove up the drive that it was the one. Emily made us feel so relaxed and was incredibly helpful at recommending suppliers. The venue is a showstopper and came with the added bonus of being able to host friends and family in onsite accommodation. It meant the world to have friends who’d flown in stay close by and experience the Dorset countryside in all its glory. We’re already planning on booking out an onsite cottage for our wedding anniversary! The day was absolute perfection - thank you Emily and the Minterne House team!

It was brilliant working with all the staff at Kingston Maurward, especially Danielle who was amazing, organised, fun to work with and nothing was too much trouble. The whole wedding (suppliers booked through KM) was excellent value for money and I highly recommend.

Words truly cannot express how incredible our wedding at canford. Chloe, Caitlin and all the staff went out of their way to make our day absolutely amazing. First off, the building and grounds and stunning and made for the most amazing photos. We were married in the old library and absolutely loved this. Having the outside space for our canapés and evening food was a real bonus and one of the major selling points of the venue. We also loved the great hall- rarely have I seen such an impressive room that gave so much room for dancing and still to have tables out. Secondly- the food. WOW! Our guests have not stopped talking about the food months on and have said it’s the best that they’ve had at a wedding, with some saying it’s possibly the best food they’ve had out in a long time. The attention to detail was incredible! Now for a focus on Chloe and Caitlin. We cannot thank them enough for all of the effort that they put into the day. They truly coordinated every little aspect and we felt as if we were the only wedding couple they were looking after. The day went off without a glitch and it’s all thanks to them. I don’t think a review is enough to do the day justice. Our day at canford was so special and cannot recommend it enough to anyone looking to get married.

If you're looking for a beautiful, romantic, breathtaking and unique wedding venue, where you are in control to create your own bespoke special day then look no further! The moment we viewed Warmwell we knew it was perfect for our Wedding, surrounded by beautiful countryside views Warmwell House is an amazing venue bursting with so much history inside and out that it made us feel that we had stepped back in time. Sam and Serena are so wonderful! We couldn't have been more well looked after. We could tell both Sam and Serena have dedicated years to perfecting Warmwell House as the most perfect wedding venue, supporting our specific ideas/needs and answering any queries we had, you can tell that they genuinely cared about us having the absolute best time! For us, as we have recently relocated to the area, it was extremely important to be able to house some of our guests. With ample space at warmwell, we were able to have our whole immediate wedding party with us. Rather than just being a single wedding day event, being able to stay the night before made it truly feel like a family weekend get together! It genuinely felt like a second home for the weekend, with all our close family and friends around us. Sam and Serena were brilliant, there for us if we needed them for any reason, otherwise they left us to enjoy our time. All our guests have commented on how relaxed the wedding felt, and didn't want it to end! We were married in the beautiful Holy Trinity Church located on the grounds of Warmwell House by the wonderful Rev. David Johnson who was so welcoming, supportive and reassuring that it made our day so very special. From beginning to end, we had the best time in planning, preparing and enjoying every second of our wedding. We couldn't have imagined getting married anywhere else! We had our whole wedding and reception at Tyrrells Ford. I could not have asked for more. From day one of seeking the right venue for us, the staff were more than accomodating. Sara and Mark (the owners) listened to all of our requests (and there were quite a few!) and pulled out all the stops on the day. Even our most "particular" of guests commented on how lovely the hotel and staff were. Everything flowed just as we'd asked. All of the staff were friendly and could not do enough for us. The chef provided an outstanding level of home cooked food which was just simply delicious!The accomodation was warm and homely. We know that because our guests took over every room in the hotel!!! Breakfast together the next day was even still special with the utmost care and professionalism demonstrated at all times. Thank you so much to Sara and Mark and their team for making our day so special (which just happened to fall on their wedding anniversary too!) We'll definately be going back soon for some more of that very yummy food!!!
