It was brilliant, members of staff make sure that on the day you have absolutely nothing to worry about but having fun and celebrating.

The gorgeous, stately yet cosy Pynes House formed the backdrop for our dream wedding in May 2025. It really was the perfect venue – set behind the rolling hills just outside of Exeter, the house exuded class and character and has been impeccably maintained. Just a 5-minute drive from Exeter St David’s station, its location couldn’t have been more convenient, although it always felt incredibly private thanks to a long driveway leading up to the house, lined by stately fir trees. Whilst spacious and versatile, it also retained warmth and cosiness due to its elegant proportions. The grounds were also spectacular; with the rose garden and wisteria really coming to life on a sunny spring day during our drinks reception. For our Saturday wedding, we loved being able to check in on Friday afternoon, checking out at midday on Sunday. Spending the whole weekend in the house with our closest family and friends made the whole occasion feel like an extended big house party. The Pynes House team were responsive, warm and approachable, providing clear instructions throughout and leading up to our big day – a quality we really appreciated given the uncertainties of wedding planning. A huge shoutout to Jay and the drinks team who went out of their way to make us a delicious lychee martini the moment we returned from church as newlyweds. It was the best day of our lives and we are so happy to have celebrated at Pynes House. If you’re looking for the perfect country house in the South West, then look no further!

We chose Escot Park because we attend Beautiful Days festival every year. The service from Lucy Kennaway and her team was brilliant the whole way through. Any question we had got answered and they made sure to double and triple check things with us so it was perfect on the day. The food from the in house catering was beautiful, and the Chunks Pasties and Chips for the reception food were brilliant too. We were also able to have a keg of Ottery Amber Ale on the bar at our request which made the day more personal to us. They made sure that myself and my husband had a plate of canapes just for us after the ceremony. That was so needed. I would 100% recommend this venue.

From the moment we visited Deer Park for the first time, we knew it was the perfect venue for our winter wedding. Walking through the doors to beautiful Christmas trees, stunningly decorated rooms, and the most incredible range of memorabilia throughout, Deer Park has so much character to offer. And that's before meeting with our phenomenal wedding organiser Sophia, for who no ask was too large and no question too difficult. Our pre-meetings and tasting put us completely at ease knowing that everything we wanted from the day would be realised. Whereas the site provided the backdrop for us to create our perfect wedding day, it was unquestionably the amazing team, comprising Sophia, Mark, Dan, Ian & many others, that brought it to life. Waking up on our wedding morning in the Shed and Playhouse at Deer Park, the weather could not have been more ideal. These two accommodations are stunning, exceptionally kitted out for the needs of all varieties of brides and grooms, and are just the most wonderful way to start a wedding day. After some photos in the gorgeous front rooms, we had our ceremony off site before returning with guests for the reception and rest of the day. Every aspect of the day was utterly perfect, from welcoming our guests, to the wonderful food and drink, to the all round atmosphere and format of the day. Getting to spend the night in the treehouse bridal suite just topped it off, greeted by a couple of pizzas and slices of wedding cake kindly added by the team. It's these kind of small touches that make a great event that little more special, and they're the details that we will remember forever. Breakfast the next morning was also amazing and an ideal way to cure some sore heads and send people on their way. There are not enough words to summarize how perfect our experience with Deer Park was. I would thoroughly recommend this venue to anyone

Had a wonderful time at Moreton House for our wedding and the stay over the weekend, they were all so accommodating for everyone and easy to work with in regards to the lead up to the wedding. There was a wide range of options that allowed us to work together to make our day run so smoothly and for us to use our own caterers and photographer. We were able to use each of the rooms that we needed for our day making plenty of space for our guests to freely mingle, dance or enjoy the evening outside by the fire pit. A true value for money as all the guest rooms including ours were absolutely stunning and all our guests and the wedding party said how lovely they were. Highly recommend as they were so easy to work with and helped us with every step of the way and guided us when we needed assistance in things like the table layouts and how to use each room to our advantage,
