Offering services to couples hosting weddings, Sudeley Castle is nestled in the heart of the Cotswold Hills. This truly unique castle boasts more than 1,200 acres. On these historic grounds, romantic ruins, sweeping valleys, and magnificent, award-winning gardens combine to create an idyllic celebration backdrop.

Facilities and Capacity
Heartfelt ceremonies can be held outside with breath-taking views of the hills and the castle, or in our historical library surrounded by your closes friends and family. We also have our very open charming chapel within the castle grounds where you can say 'I do'. After exchanging vows, you can enjoy a dazzling reception in the setting of your choosing. Canapes and champagne can be served in one of our spectacular gardens, the Rose Garden being the most popular. For your meal, dining in our new glass Orangery is the perfect setting to share food and laughter with your guests, following by dancing and cocktails in our historitcal Castle Coach House. You will look out onto venue's expansive terrace, complete with an outdoor bar and you will have the chance to admire stunning valley views. If you're hosting a gathering for over 150 guests, a lavish marquee can be set up on our North Lawn with stunning reflections of the Tithe Barn in the water as your backdrop.


Services Offered
Sudeley Castle has an array of accommodation for up to 100 people situated in and around the castle grounds. Some of our favourites are the fabulous Cotswold stone farmhouse that sleeps 14 and one of the unique castellated gatehouses at the foot of the main drive.

On your special day, you will have access to the venue from 8am until midnight and have exclusive access to the grounds from 5pm, allowing you to celebrate at your own pace. Our preferred caterers will create you a bespoke menu using fabulous local and carefully sourced produce and will be delighted to meet with you to discuss your choices. To begin curating a plan for your milestone occasion, please do get in touch, as we would love to join you on your wedding planning journey.

Dream Wedding

When we first saw Sudeley, we knew it would be our venue. Not only are the castle and gardens stunning, Darcey and team are helpful, knowledgable and responsive.

We chose to get married in July - we were graced with a sunny beautiful day that really made the castle and gardens look their most beautiful. We had the pre reception drinks in the chapel courtyard to start the day off with historical beauty. We had our ceremony on the Haha so our guests had a view of the castle, followed by a drinks reception in the rose garden but also moved into the shade nearer the castle. The orangery is the perfect blank canvas for dinner - we dressed it up with greenery and had bud vases with florals and candles along the gorgeous long tables. We then danced all night in the coach house which has the perfect sized bar.

We love how our guests were taken on a journey throughout the castle, never repeating a location. It feels like multiple venues in one. Our guests kept telling us it was the most amazing venue they’ve ever been to.

Highly recommend getting married at Sudeley Castle!

Perfect wedding

We fell in love with Sudeley Castle from the moment we first visited and knew it had to be where we married! (Word of warning: if you’re visiting multiple venues, you don’t view Sudeley first like we did as it meant we then had to go see all the other venues knowing that our heart was there)

The grounds were stunning and the team made it even better! Darcey and Ella were so helpful and made sure everything was perfect and ready for us and were always on hand to answer our multiple questions and emails! And we want to give a huge shout out to Ella because everything went effortless on the day and she knew everything about everything despite only being with the team for a few months!

We could not have had a more perfect day and we’re so appreciative of the entire Sudeley team! We love you!

Happily Ever After

We fell in love with Sudeley Castle after randomly discovering it on a short mini-break to the Cotswolds in May 2023.

We soon decided afterwards that it would be the perfect venue to host our Church wedding.

Darcey, April, and Lady Ashcombe were extremely accommodating, patient, kind and professional. They were also very flexible.

We were provided with a list of suppliers and prioritised our photographer, videographer and caterer before moving to our choice of music for the ceremony and reception. My wife was exceptional in organising the wedding and worked closely with Darcey and all our suppliers to ensure our wedding day lived up to our expectations.

Lady Ashcombe personally granted us permission to have my wife's bridal entrance with a horse drawn carriage (which was a first for Sudeley) and also for me to have my guests and a fellow Lamborghini owners to display their cars on her personal front lawn outside the castle! It was incredible.

Our wedding day was truly loving, magical and will stay with us forever. It exceeded our expectations. Darcey and April were so kind in helping my wife with her dress and the co-ordination was incredible. We can't praise the team highly enough.

We had the BEST wedding day at sudeley castle. Darcey was so reliable and informative from minute one and had everything under control throughout the process. Would highly recommend sudeley as a venue to anyone. Thanks again for the perfect day

Stunning venue

Sudeley Castle was such a picturesque venue. The first time we saw it we knew it was where we wanted to get married. There were so many gorgeous places for photos, and different areas for different parts of the day which made everything flow so smoothly. Sunset in the orangery was also so beautiful! Darcey was amazing at helping us plan and keep everything organised and on track.

The most perfect wedding venue!

We fell in love with Sudeley Castle about 18-months before our wedding, it is absolutely stunning, the grounds are breath-taking, steeped in history and Annie the wedding coordinator is absolutely fantastic!
The venue was very flexible, open to ideas and really easy to work with. All of our guests loved Sudeley Castle, and the village of Winchcombe.
