Berwick Lodge will be all yours – all 18 wonderful acres of it. Our venue guarantees complete privacy and seclusion, leaving you time to settle in and make our house your home for the occasion.

Facilities and Capacity
Perfect for small and intimate weddings, or more lavish celebrations of up to 100 guests for a seated wedding breakfast and 150 for evening celebrations. Berwick is licensed to hold civil ceremonies for up to 100 guests inside, or outside in good weather. Our grounds can host a marquee in addition, which increases capacity to 200 guests.
The enchanting grounds offer spectacular features with an abundance of beautiful surroundings – picture an intricate pergola entwined with wisteria and clematis, leading the way to Aphrodite’s Dome – a striking structure with an intricately designed dome roof. The glistening fountain, original Victorian summerhouse, orchard, tree swing, and views across to Wales, offer additional backdrops for romantic photographs.
The interior of the stunning Victorian building reflects historical British luxury and comfort with a subtle Turkish twist. You’ll find original wood panelling and open fires, a sweeping staircase, and sparkling chandeliers. And that’s just in the entrance hall! The reception room is a wonderfully bright and airy room – floor-to-ceiling windows overlook the gardens and out towards the sparkling lights of Wales beyond.
Our stunning collection of 14 individually designed boutique rooms, all with en-suites and unique characteristics means there’s plenty of onsite accommodation for your nearest and dearest, and a beautiful wedding suite for yourselves.
Services Offered
Food is at the core of what we do here at Berwick Lodge, and something we are very passionate about. Our delicious food, provided by our in-house team, will be served from our specially created wedding menus, using seasonal and local ingredients as much as possible. Although we pride ourselves on the ease of our all-inclusive wedding offering, we also hugely believe in personalisation and flexibility. Therefore, exclusive use weddings are welcome to forgo Berwick’s delicious evening catering (for a £500 fee) and instead hire their own self-contained catering van or food truck of choice
Our experienced wedding coordinator Georgia, with help from the owner Sarah, will be on hand from the very start of your journey to ensure your plans and dreams comes to life and your personality shines through.
On the day itself, Rhianna will effortlessly calm your nerves and ensure the day runs smoothly, with the help of our restaurant manager and waiting team whose service is second to none.

Gorgeous, fairytale-like venue!

The perfect wedding venue!
Berwick Lodge gave us the perfect wedding day
We’re not from Bristol, but we chose Berwick because we loved how characterful, authentic and welcoming the property felt. For our 65-person wedding, it was the perfect size. We saw a lot of venues that felt purpose-built for the conveyor belt of wedding season. But that wasn’t Berwick at all. The exterior building is beautiful, of course. But what I loved most is the feel of the place inside, with its beautiful wood panelling, chandeliers, gorgeous bay windows, grand fireplaces, antique dressers full of glassware and regal green dining chairs. It’s so characterful that you feel like you are in a period property having the party of a lifetime. Guests said it was like a Bridgerton wedding (some also said Saltburn in terms of the luxury country manor vibe!)
I also loved that Berwick’s Hattusa restaurant was highly regarded in its own right. During our first visit, we overheard a local family thanking the restaurant “for another outstanding meal”, which sealed the deal for us. The quality really showed through in our wedding breakfast. Guests made a point of saying how good the food was afterwards, which says it all.
Honestly, the whole experience of organising our wedding at Berwick Lodge was flawless thanks to the wedding team. We liaised with Georgia in the run up to the wedding – from first visits, to securing our date and then arranging the menu tasting and the final detail meeting. Georgia was incredibly friendly, professional and helpful, and offered great advice when we needed it. The venue asks you to organise all the details of the wedding via a Google Drive, which was very useful and well thought out. The wedding pack provided us with pretty much all the information we needed, but Georgia was always there on email to answer any questions.
On the day, we were looked after by Rhianna and Tan who were both so calming and organised. What makes their service stand out is they are so kind and lovely to the couple. It just leaves you feeling reassured and looked after by your wedding venue, which is all you want on such a special day.
We had exclusive use of the wedding venue, with friends and family staying over in the hotel. Everyone was very happy with their rooms. Lydia, Phyrgia, Troya and Kappadokia were particularly amazing. Real wow factor rooms. My only regret is not taking the option to exclusively book out the venue for the night before the wedding.
Ultimately, Berwick Lodge is a fantastic wedding venue. Our wedding day ran smoothly, everything was high quality and well-presented, and our guests had the most fantastic day. We would definitely recommend it to other couples.
5* Professionalism for the Whole Package
Prior the the day, the wedding coordinator Georgia, who is amazing at her job, kept us on track with what we needed to sort by when and helped us with the finer details. On the day itself, we had a fantastic duo of Rhianna and Tan to ease our nerves and make sure the day operated flawlessly. They are all such lovely people that it was a joy to have them as part of our day - it made all the difference.
The venue itself was ideal for our wedding of ~50 people, but I'm sure would work well with more than that. We were blessed with great weather, so had a lovely outdoor ceremony by the fountain, and then our guests enjoyed drinks in the grounds for most of the reception.
The food is amazing - we got a ton of compliments from our guests that it was the best they had had at a wedding.
The rooms are also so nice - my wife's niece said it was like being in Buckingham Palace!
All in all, couldn't rate it enough and if you are considering Berwick Lodge, we'd encourage you to go and take a look around!
Beautiful June Wedding
We found this wonderful place in Jan 23 and instantly fell in love with the gorgeous building, stunning grounds and most of all the people. We spent 18 months planning our wedding day and the level of care, service and quality of it's wonderful staff was second to none. On the day, everything went off without a hitch, food and drinks all superb, rooms of the highest standard and care from the staff was amazing.
Every room in Berwick Lodge has a uniqueness to them but all share a high quality and luxury feeling. All of our guests were stunned and loved their stays. We stayed in the Lydia (bridal suite) and it was the best, with a beautiful bathroom, bedroom and view from the balcony. Perfect way to wake up on your first day of married life.
The food and drink is exquisite! From the selection of canapés for our reception, the wedding breakfast (lamb main) and evening food, all were delicious, tailored for us and presented beautifully. The chefs, kitchen and waiting staff deserve such high praise for not only the quality of the meal but their attentiveness to our guests throughout the day and night making sure everything was on time and glasses were always kept topped up. Just excellent.
The wedding day was faultless, made possible by many people but most of all Georgia Bradley. She is incredible in all ways possible, everything you could want in a wedding co-ordinator and made our day so special. Her support during the entire planning stage was professional but above all caring, helping to make our day unique and exactly how we hoped.
The seamless execution of the day was flawless down to the hard work and friendliness of all the staff who are fantastic. Special mention to Tam our restaurant manager for the brilliant running of the wedding breakfast and evening event and Sarah the owner of the venue for bringing such a high quality and beautiful aesthetic to Berwick Lodge, and being there on the day to share the celebrations. Thank you all for making our day so memorable.
I cannot recommend this idyllic place for your big day, any occasion or simply a great getaway with fantastic scenery, dining and hospitality. Berwick Lodge is incredible. 5 Stars!

Jess is usually the very first friendly voice you’ll hear when you get in touch about your wedding with us — and from that first conversation, she’ll be right by your side.
Becoming a wedding coordinator was always Jess’s dream. Before joining Berwick Lodge, she had a love for make-up, hairstyling and all things creative, so stepping into the world of weddings felt like coming home. She truly adores seeing a couple’s ideas grow from those first excited chats into a day that feels completely and beautifully “them”.
Jess has the loveliest way of making you feel instantly at ease. She listens carefully, cares deeply about the little details, and understands just how important this day is — not just for you, but for everyone you love. From your first enquiry through the planning journey, she’ll be there to guide, reassure and celebrate alongside you.
On the day itself, you’ll also be looked after by our wonderful wedding team, including Ruth, who helps ensure everything runs smoothly behind the scenes. Together, they work closely to make sure you and your guests feel relaxed, cared for and free to enjoy every single moment.
For us, it’s never “just another wedding” — and Jess truly treats it that way.
