Both myself and my Husband agree that Aldwark Manor was the right choice for our wedding ceremony and venue. We went for the All Exclusive package which was worth every penny. As part of the package we opted for fireworks which were sensational and made our day so special. The staff at Aldwark are all so friendly and professional, and you are made to feel welcome from the moment you arrive. Our Wedding co-ordinator Kim was amazing too, keeping in regular contact and making sure everything was sorted so that on the day the wedding went smoothly and stress free. The day we got married was one of the hottest days of the year and there was a really bad downpour in the morning but this didn't spoil the day. The food was exceptional and there was some lovely options to choose from for the wedding meal. The hog roast in the evening also went down very well! In addition we hired our own magician (the Yorkshire magician) and also the magic selfie mirror hosted by mimi events which oyr guests loved! We had a fantastic wedding and so did our guests and we would wholeheartedly recommend Aldwark Manor not just as a wedding venue but also as a very relaxing and enjoyable place to stay.

Our wedding day was truly magical, and we have the incredible team at The Parsonage Hotel and Spa to thank for making it so special. From the very beginning of the planning process, everything was smooth, stress-free, and beautifully organised. Samantha was an absolute pleasure to work with — she guided us every step of the way, answered all of our questions, and offered thoughtful suggestions to help bring our vision to life. On the day itself, Elaine guided us throughout, ensuring every moment ran smoothly and helping the day feel calm and perfectly put together. The venue looked stunning, and the attention to detail was outstanding. We didn’t have a single worry, thanks to the professionalism and attentiveness of the entire staff. It was such a relief to know everything was in such capable hands, allowing us to fully relax and enjoy every moment. My bridesmaids and I stayed the night before the wedding and were able to use our room for longer in the morning to get ready. The Parsonage made the day less stressful by seamlessly moving my things to my new room while we were celebrating — it was one less thing to think about. The wedding breakfast was delicious. Every dish was superbly prepared and received wonderful compliments from all our guests. It really was one of the highlights of the day. We are so thankful that The Parsonage was the venue where we could start our next chapter as a married couple. We are incredibly grateful to the entire team for turning our dream wedding into a beautiful reality. Your dedication, care, and seamless execution made our day truly unforgettable. We recently celebrated our wedding at the hotel and it was an absolute dream true! The staff were amazing especially Steve who was there to look after us on the day and Emily the wedding coordinator in the build up to the big day. Our guests are still raving about the delicious food and the magical Oak Room. Thanks so much for making our day perfect!

We were looking for a venue that had it all in one decent priced package and the Marriott was the perfect answer. The outdoor ceremony adds such a magic touch to the day, and the surrounding gardens are absolutely perfect for pictures. The indoor reception room is so bright and airy, perfect for eating and dancing the night away. Jeanette and the team were perfect throughout the whole day, and the wedding wouldn’t have been possible without Amber and Imogen as well. It was truly perfect day and we couldn’t have asked for a better venue!

Rob and the team at the Merchant Adventurers' Hall made sure we had a fantastic day for our wedding in October 2025. They were all incredibly helpful, nothing was too much trouble, and they were extremely flexible and good-humoured dealing with our requests. We had one of the best days of our lives, and would definitely recommend this venue for a wedding or other big event!

Me and my partner recently had our wedding hear and it was the most perfect day. The staff were amazing and supportive there for us all day. Food was amazing. The comunactaion was great before the wedding making a lot easier to plan releaving alot of stress.

Sandburn Hall was one of the first venues in and around York we had come across, and we instantly fell in love. After some more searching, we made an appointment and met up with Gabby who is one of the coordinators. She met us, showed us around, and discussed all the options. There was no hidden costs, everything was clearly laid out, and we knew what we could do. We didn't even need to look anywhere else - Sandburn was for us. After booking our big day, Katrina was allocated to us as our coordinator. She was so polite, friendly, personable, and professional. Every question we had quickly had an answer. The big day came, and she made sure it was a well-oiled machine. Everything was in place, and her team worked seamlessly behind the scenes. We are so very grateful to everyone at Sandburn for their exceptional execution of our happy day. Not one problem arose, and we highly recommend the venue to anyone who wishes to have their big day there too.

From start to finish, this was an absolute dream of a venue. We were taken through everything by the amazing Claire, who covered every detail and made us feel calm and comfortable that the day would run smoothly. Her and her team made everything so special. There were a couple of mishaps, but what was great was that they were so happy to receive comments and use that info to make changes on future events. Aside from all that, the venue is stunning and made for the most gorgeous setting and photos.Having the gardens from 6pm as well meant we could get the most phenomenal couples photos. Their accessibility was brilliant as well, ensuring guests with various requirements were cared for. With that, their caterers and DJ suppliers were fantastic. Nowhere else would have felt right for our wedding and that is in a large part down to the precision, planning and care of the team at The Hospitium.
