Outstanding venue, gorgeous settings, amazing staff, comfortable accommodation. My wedding day was an absolute dream come true thanks to the hard work of Candice and the whole Hornington team. I really cannot shout loud enough from the rooftops, biggest downside is how quickly the whole thing was over! Enquire and get a full range of prices, I was dubious about a mid week wedding and most of those invited managed to attend!

Natasia and Pat were absolutely brilliant from day one, super responsive on email answering all my questions. They were so supportive on the big day as well when Jack was setting up the venue, putting his nerves at ease and helping with all the logistics

We had our wedding at Stone Trough Inn last week and we could not recommend it highly enough! Philippa was excellent in the planning stage, no request too big or small. You can really make your wedding your own. The decorations were perfect and totally in fitting with our colours and flowers. We went for the upgraded buffet which exceeded our expectations- several guests said it was the best wedding food they had ever had! The evening food (we chose pies, pasties and pickles) also went down an absolute treat! Philippa was brilliant on the day itself and made the whole day run smoothly! All of the staff at Stone Trough were so nice, friendly and professional. The pub itself is great with a lovely outside space, great view and is close enough to Kirkham Abbey to take photos there! We had the perfect day, would absolutely recommend Stone Trough for a wedding!! 💖

A special thank you to our wonderful wedding coordinators, Samantha and Louise, for making our day absolutely perfect. We are also incredibly grateful to Elaine for her constant support and attention to every detail throughout the day. We truly couldn't have done it without you.

We recently celebrated our wedding at the hotel and it was an absolute dream true! The staff were amazing especially Steve who was there to look after us on the day and Emily the wedding coordinator in the build up to the big day. Our guests are still raving about the delicious food and the magical Oak Room. Thanks so much for making our day perfect!

We were looking for a venue that had it all in one decent priced package and the Marriott was the perfect answer. The outdoor ceremony adds such a magic touch to the day, and the surrounding gardens are absolutely perfect for pictures. The indoor reception room is so bright and airy, perfect for eating and dancing the night away. Jeanette and the team were perfect throughout the whole day, and the wedding wouldn’t have been possible without Amber and Imogen as well. It was truly perfect day and we couldn’t have asked for a better venue!

Our guests were totally wowed by this venue, we had our wedding reception here. We had the meal upstairs, I was able to have the tables set up in any formation I liked. I dropped everything to decorate the tables the morning of the wedding and the team at Adventurers set it all up for me. I was allowed to decorate with fairylights around the pillars too. The beauty of the venue means you need very little decoration, a few flowers on the tables and you're set. the room does the rest! We then move downstairs for dancing in the undercroft, we hired equipment and brought it in. The caterers we chose were Croft Kitchen, who have done many weddings here and helped the evening run seamlessly. In the lead up to the wedding, the team at adventurers answered all my questions quickly and helped with anything I needed. I really couldn't have asked for more. I only wish we didn't have to have music off at 11.30 but I understood this when booking the central york location there are noise limits up to a certain hour. I could have stayed all night, I didn't want to leave. I also wish I utilised the outdoor space a bit more as there are beautiful gardens surrounding the property.

We had our wedding at The Grand Hotel and it was absolutely perfect! The staff went above and beyond to make everything run smoothly, the venue was stunning, and the food was incredible. Our guests couldn’t stop talking about how beautiful everything looked. It was truly the best day of our lives — thank you, Grand Hotel, for making our wedding unforgettable! 💕

If you are considering booking Sandburn Hall for your wedding day- do it! We had the most perfect day. From start to finish, we didn't lift a finger, nothing was too much/little to ask from the team, they really took the reins but also listened to every detail we had planned and pulled it off. The food was amazing, the atmosphere was magical, and the staff are just incredible. Not to mention what a BEAUTIFUL venue it is. PS. if you are worried about getting married in a heatwave, the air con in this place in unbelievably good- it was 31+ degrees on our wedding day and we danced all night! A special thank you to Gabby, our wedding coordinator, who went above and beyond for us every step of the way!

The Hospitium is a stunning venue and set in the beautiful museum garden in the heart of York. They offer a “whirlwind” package for couples who book a date within 6 months, which is what we went with. The team were so helpful and friendly and made the planning process easy and simple.  Within the package you get the venue, their decorations, catering, flowers, cake and dj. It was so nice having all of this sorted and not having to try and coordinate multiple suppliers, and because they all know the venue so well they knew what would work best.  All of the staff who helped to run the day were calm, friendly and professional. We had a few guest issues due to the heat, but they kept everything running smoothly and the day was amazing.  After 6pm the museum gardens close to the public so you have it all to yourselves for the evening which is amazing. The gardens have the perfect backdrop for photos, especially with the ruins in. Added to this, as it is run and owned by York Museum Trust, the money goes towards keeping the various museums and gardens in York running and open to the public for the future. It’s a real win-win! I couldn’t recommend it anymore highly as the perfect place for a wedding!
