We LOVED this place! Couldn't recommend it enough! From the moment you arrive you are treated like royalty, bags take out of your car and taken to your room, we opted for champagne and chocolates on arrival, the staff were pleasant and accomodating when we needed extra supplies like more teabags etc. The room was lovely and the bathroom was gorgeous. The attached spa was great and there are designated children hours which we appreciated when we wanted to go during adult only times. We rented e-bikes and took a ride to the Druids temple which was wonderful and although the estate is expensive to stay at, is well worth the visit for what you get! We also did the birds of prey experience which was fabulous. We can't wait to rebook to go to the Swinton

We were looking for a small venue for our wedding. We only had 27 guests and were worried that we would feel lost in a big venue - or worse, there would be another wedding there at the same time as ours. Markenfield was just perfect for us as ours was the only wedding and it was a lovely intimate venue. The Administrator bent over backwards to help us put our plans together, the catering was delicious and the the hall itself gave us a beautiful backdrop for our wedding photos.
