We can’t fault the Parsonage for helping our dream wedding day come to live from start to finish!
We were instantly made to feel at home on our initial visit, and Louise was absolutely fantastic, answering all our questions (no matter how trivial!) and showing us everything we needed to see (including the bridal suite!). We made our decision there and then to book for our day!
The team were so helpful and flexible with our requests, including extras to make our day even more special, like staying in the bridal suite complimentary the night before, allowing us extra food options and even letting us tailor the drinks package to suit all our guests!
Communication was fantastic, especially for an overly anxious bride like myself! They were always on hand to answer queries, make changes to bookings and also to help with vendors/other enquiries!
We had multiple meetings to finalise our day and options, and each time we were made to feel special, offered refreshments, allowed time to discuss options and make changes if needed.
The day itself could not have run smoother! The venue was prepped to such a high standard, the team constantly came to check in on myself and my groom to make sure we had everything we needed to make the mornings run smooth! Louise did an amazing job during the ceremony with timings and keeping everyone relaxed, and they were amazing during the wedding breakfast keeping food/drinks flowing and ensuring a smooth transition from ceremony to breakfast. The staff moved all our decorations for us from one room to another so seamlessly and made everything look incredible without input!
The DJ was phenomenal! We put together a playlist and he worked with that, adding his own twist, we couldn’t get people off the dance floor! He even extended out set by half an hour at the end because people were having so much fun! The next morning we came down to find all our decorations/extras packed away really neatly ready for us to take home, meaning we didn’t have to worry about doing it ourselves! They even set aside a section of he breakfast room so all the guests could eat together the following morning without feeling rushed.

As a result of all their hard work, our day went even better than we could ever imagine, and we are still getting compliments from our guests at how amazing g the day was and the staff were!

We had our evening wedding reception here in early July and it was brilliant.
After getting married in the carribean I had a vision to bring that into our UK event for our family and friends that couldn’t make the ceremony.
The team at the parsonage were amazing from start to finish.
They were flexible allowing us to only book the evening event helping us create our carribean themed BBQ menu and having pina colada as our arrival drink.

The space was brilliant, we had our steel drum band and arrival drinks in the garden along with the BBQ and then partied inside. Maybe different room allowed our older guests to enjoy some peace and quiet while others enjoyed the dance floor.

The team at the parsonage were great helping us set up as I had a friend doing the wedding cake and dessert table and another doing flowers.
We used think tank entertainment for the DJ and steel band and the parsonage were very accommodating.

Our guests all said what a fantastic time they had. A lot stayed and some made use of the spa area before the wedding and to sober up the day after.

I would highly recommend the parsonage the team are professional hard working and went above and beyond to make our day special.

We booked the ceremony and reception here at The Parsonage Hotel & Spa with the Help of Louise, who was constantly at hand every step off the way through the planning of our day. No request was too small! Myself (bride), flowergirl, MOB, MOH had a lovely meal in the Fat Abbot the night before the big day which was delicious. We spent the night in the bridal suite ready for the barrage of hair and makeup the following morning. Despite how hectic it was everything flowed seamlessly thanks to Fiona being on hand. We had breakfast delivered to our room whilst we were getting ready, which made things less stressful. All of the coordinating that went into making our day so amazing was solely down to Fiona and Samantha. Constantly on hand to make sure we were looked after even down to bring us a drink and food whilst we were having photos taken so we wouldn’t miss out on them. I needed additional support throughout the day due to disability and the ladies were fantastic. I genuinely could not have made it through the day without them.
We would highly recommend and have recommended this place to everyone and anyone that will listen. Even our guests commented on how wonderful the place was, how delicious all the food was. How accommodating they were. Once again thank you to Louise and her team of miracle workers. Xxx

💞I was a very indecisive bride and the wedding team were so supportive of my changes as we planned our wedding . We had 100 guests and lots of guests stayed the full weekend .
On the day we had the most amazing on the day coordinator the lovely Elaine who went above and beyond for us from our arrival on the Saturday night until late into our reception on the Sunday night.

We had our wedding at the parsonage in August and i just knew from going to view the venue it was the place I wanted to get married. Beautiful grounds and very friendly staff. From start to finish prior to the wedding and on the wedding day nothing was too much for them. Louise and Samantha looked after us so well and couldn’t ask for more. If you are looking to book here you will not regret it.

we booked with the parsonage due to the location and with the parsonage being able to offer hotel rooms for guests! we booked the wedding approx 2 years in advance, the parsonage staff communicated well with us from the start to finish, I was amazed how easily everything was and how they went above any expections. They also communicated with any external companies regarding setting up and what time they should come.
Myself and the hubby ended up staying at the parsonage for 3 nights due to being crazy and moving house 3 days before our wedding, this was booked last minute and the parsonage was amazing at doing this for us which took alot of the stress away.
On the day, the wedding co ordinators kept me calm and stress free and made sure guests were happy! they also helped set up my DIY wedding, they blended in so well throughout the wedding. the staff was passionate about what they do, I cannot thank both of them enough they gave me and my husband the best day and if i could do it all over again, I would 100 percent return to the parsonage.

Wow! Where do I begin! The Parsonage Hotel went above and beyond for our perfect day, from the day we booked our wedding with them to the day of our wedding! We stayed the night before our wedding with the majority of our guests so we could have the perfect wedding weekend and the staff couldn’t have been more amazing! The rooms were incredible and I got to stay in the bridal suite the night before which was more than perfect! The morning of our wedding came and everything was just right, Sammy came to me early in the morning and made sure everything was okay and I wasn’t panicking! She kept checking on me every so often to make sure me and the bridesmaids didn’t need anything! Elaine then came up and introduced herself and made us feel at ease with the whole day and how it was going to go! They was my shoulder to cry on before I walked down the aisle, getting me ready to marry my husband! The whole ceremony was perfect! Everyone of our guests complimented saying how it was the best wedding they had ever been to and the food was delicious too! Special shout out to Sammy, Elaine and Louise who was at the end of the phone or email if I had any worry or query about anything! They was there to reassure me and to make sure I felt happy! And trust me! Our wedding day will forever be the most perfect day of our lives and we have the Parsonage Hotel to thank for that! Appreciate you all! We will never forget you!

We had our wedding reception here in October after getting married at the nearby church.
I cannot fault the parsonage at all, they could not have been more attentive on the day. All the guests had a great experience and we were made to feel totally at ease.
Elaine ran our day faultlessly.
All the waiting staff were brilliant.
Nothing was too much trouble - for example we wanted extra bottles of prosecco with glasses being topped up, we also had a crisp wall that the staff set up prior to the evening do. Our suppliers were well fed and catered for.
We had access the day before to start set up.

Many of our guests chose to stay the night before and the night of the wedding, though some of the rooms are a little dated, many of them are absolutely huge and there's nothing wrong with them at all.

The Parsonage also set up a section of the breakfast room the next morning for everyone who was at the wedding, which was a super extra touch.

Honestly brilliant. Wouldn't hesitate to recommend The Parsonage as a venue.

We had our wedding here in September 2024 and we could not praise or recommend the Parsonage enough! We had a fantastic time and it sounds such a cliche but it really was the best day of our lives! In fact it was amazing from the Thursday when guests started to arrive to the Sunday morning after the wedding, everything went perfectly! From the point of enquiring and booking 18 months before our wedding, Louise was so helpful, flexible and accommodating. Despite the fact I’m sure she was managing many weddings she always made me feel like ours was the only one! How when I popped in she could just remember my details over others I’ll never know! She was excellent at answering my many questions and requests and made the whole process very stress free. Exactly what a bride wants 😊 I am not sure my parents believed us when we said we had limited jobs they could help with because the Parsonage had it covered! We were local but all our guests were travelling from elsewhere so they allowed us to reserve a very large number of rooms. Preempting the switchboard meltdown that happened the Sunday all invites went out, Louise had help keep aside rooms named for our bridal party and family to ensure they had one which was reassuring for me. We ended up taking up almost every room in the hotel! Most guests made a weekend of it, and loved being able to use the spa (some multiple times!) and being able to head into York. We largely took over the Fat Abbott pub the Friday night before the wedding too and Louise helped us reserve tables and pre order. The pub was also a fab option to have for the groom, groomsmen and many guests the morning of the wedding! I stayed in the bridal suite and it was gorgeously decorated. I was worried about feeling cold (we saw a 10 degree drop in temperature from the previous week!) but the bridal suit and rooms for the wedding were all perfect temperature and on the day the sun came out allowing us use of the gorgeous garden. The tables were laid out just as I wanted and Louise had suggested for the ceremony room we use one of our centre pieces rather than pay out for something else which was a great idea. On the day our MC Elaine was great, getting us to where we needed to be when, making it totally stress free for us and our bridal party (they could just enjoy the day). We, unexpectedly, had Louise there in the morning too which for me seemed special as she made this day happen. Her, Elaine and my bouncer bridesmaids worked great to keep me hidden as I headed out for a drive in the car with my dad as guest were arriving! They just accommodated and made work everything we wanted. Having the two rooms and garden for the reception was perfect for us and our guests, with many guests commenting on how lovely the hotel and setting was as well as how tasty the wedding food was. We used the DJ that came as part of the package and having shared a sample of songs he did a fantastic job and our dance floor was full all night! They all helped keep our fireworks a surprise and get our guests outside for them. The staff were polite, helpful and friendly and one of the waiting staff even commented at breakfast the next day how beautiful my dress was! Our communication post wedding has been just as great, and when we returned to an evening event at the Parsonage after the wedding the staff remembered us and asked how our honeymoon etc was. We loved every minute of our day and can’t thank the team enough, their personal touch and the attention given to you truly makes you feel so special and we’d love to do it all over again and wouldn’t change a thing! The Parsonage will always be very special to us. Thank you for everything 😊

There isn’t enough space in this box to explain how perfect our big day was and that is all down the the fabulous staff at the parsonage, from the minute we booked with Louise she was there every step of the way even though I just have driven her crazy with my constant emails. On the actual day of the wedding we had the lovley Elaine who took care of us and nothing was too much trouble. She took every bit of stress off my shoulders and I can’t thank them enough, if you’re thinking about booking this place for your wedding then definitely do it you won’t regret it. Every single one of our guests said it was the best wedding they had been too.

We had the best day celebrating our wedding at the Parsonage.

We had our ceremony at Escrick church and loved having a reception so close. Louise even surprised us with a bubbles at the church. Our guests were so relaxed not having to move far and the whole weekend ran very smoothly.

Our canapés, meal and pizza were yummy and drinks were flowing. We loved also how the bar is in the same room as the dancefloor as everyone partied the night away.

Thanks to Louise and the team who were really helpful all the way through, making the day and planning as stress free and fun as possible.

Our day was amazing. Just perfect in every way. Samantha was fabulous with answering questions about our day, making additions and in accommodating dietary restrictions to make sure all our guests had a special day. She was in contact with suppliers we were using to ensure they had access to the venue the day before. The room was set up beautifully. Elaine (food and beverage manager) on the day was amazing. She was calm and did everything and more that we asked for. She made sure we were ok and all our guests. The bar and serving staff were friendly and professional. The Parsonage is a beautiful setting and the grounds and rooms were perfect. Guests could enjoy the grounds and the sunshine as well as the lovely conservatory seated area and the well stocked bar was very accessible. I can't thank the team enough. We loved our day and all our guests did too. I would happily recommend all engaged couples to go and see them. They will make your day magical.

Had our wedding here on the 4th of July 2024, absolutely stunning venue, amazing staff that catered to our every need, fabulous wedding coordinator Louise Bramley who made organising our wedding so easy and stress free. A special mention to the master of ceremonies Elaine who had the day running like clock work. As a bride and groom we could not have been made to feel any more special on our wonderful day. The best decision we made when organising our wedding was to have it at the parsonage hotel and spa. We visited many other venues but upon visiting the parsonage we immediately knew it was the venue for us. The wedding team communicated with us timely and compassionately right from enquiry until after the wedding. No question was a silly question, and nothing was too much to ask. The wedding team where there every step of the way throughout wedding planning to help guide and advise us. We were able to reserve a large number of rooms for our wedding guests and the process made it very easy for them to call and pay for their room, wedding night stay for the bride and groom was a lovely extra included in the package price. I stayed in the bridal suit the night before the wedding but when I returned with my husband later on the staff had been and remade it all just perfect, with little added extras for the night of our wedding. I was worried the bridal suite was not going to be big enough for the bridal party to get ready on the day and so the wedding team arranged for the room next door to be reserved so we had use of that which was amazing. we choose a package for our day, the value for money was outstanding and took care of all the small details that can be difficult to organise. Arrival, reception and toast drinks were included but neither of us like either wine or beer, the wedding team arranged for us both to have the drinks of our choice instead and we were never without a drink. The wedding breakfast and evening buffet were also outstanding, all our guests commented on how lovely the food was. Thanks to the wedding team, absolutely nothing went wrong on our wedding day, they helped with everything from the music, down to moving tables to where I preferred them to be on for the evening do. They were on hand from start to finish and their support was very much appreciated. we hired a company to dress the venue and a band for the evening and all the staff at the parsonage were extremely accommodating helping them access all the areas where they needed to be. The grounds around the Parsonage are beautiful, we were lucky to have beautiful weather for our wedding day and so were able to make full use of the grounds for the day, many of our guests spent the entire evening sat outside and it made for beautiful back drops for our photos. Almost a year on and our guests still talk about how beautiful and lovely our wedding day was. It was like a real-life fairy tale just as I had always wanted, and that is mainly down to all the staff and the wedding team at the parsonage hotel and spa.
