We got married here last weekend, from the initial enquiry right through to the day - the team at the sky bar were AMAZING.

Kimberley was a superstar, assisted us with every detail and her communication was excellent.
She was there on hand for every email and phone call, every meeting and was just the most kind and caring person.

Ewan was our master of ceremonies, he was absolutely brilliant and had the day working like clockwork. He created such a lovely atmosphere for our guests and kept us calm throughout the day.

We are so grateful to have both Kimberley and Ewan as such big parts of our day, they made the whole wedding planning process so enjoyable and supported us so well.

The food was also incredible, every single guest commented on how good it was!!

We had our wedding here on Saturday 1st June 2024 and it was absolutely amazing. The service we received from Alba and the team leading up to and on the day was fantastic. Alba was a dream to plan our wedding with, so chilled yet very professional and taking away any worries or stress I had! The venue is stunning so bright with amazing views of Edinburgh castle and beyond. The whole day ran so smoothly, and I highly recommend using their in house DJ as he was so good and really lovely too! All our guests had an amazing time. Personally I love that it’s in the city centre and that we can always visit easily for anniversaries etc as it’s sometimes open to public for drinks/brunch. We stayed in the Hilton hotel as well which was beautiful too. Honestly can’t recommend this venue enough!!

We got married in April, and the whole experience was fabulous, best day ever and nothing amiss☺️
From start to finish the communication was on point- and organising the day was made a breeze even though we were organising it from England.
Alba was a delight and couldn't have been more helpful- at every turn she walked us through every question we had (there were a lot) and made the whole organisation simple and efficient!
The decor was spot on, the package was perfect and cost effective!
Euan was our master of ceremony for the day and made us feel so at ease , walking us through every aspect of our day and kept us cool with his pleasant smile and calming presence.

I had originally dealt with Kimberley who was fantastic and answered all my millions of questions with ease and then with Alba who took over and continued doing an amazing job with helping me plan the wedding.
My bridal party got ready in the ‘Hawthorn Suite’ in the conference centre which was spacious with plenty of lighting and Alba very kindly brought us breakfast which was really good - thank goodness she did as I that was the only proper food I managed the whole day 🙈😂.
The venue is stunning, the view of Edinburgh Castle and the rest of the city is breathtaking!
The room is smaller than a lot of venues but it was perfect for us! We had 81 day guests with 8 round tables plus the top table which fitted absolutely fine and then around 110 night guests, where we kept a few round tables with additional Skybar high tables. The room itself was clean and fresh. Guests need to come up using the elevator, which is on the smaller side and had to queue up to get into the lift which may be seen as a downside. I’ve not actually spoken to guests about it so it may have been fine and I suppose allowed people to mingle! There is the option to walk up the stairs as well if they want to 😂.
I didn’t really manage to eat much food (my own fault) - canapés/ meal/ evening buffet but I’ve been told it was good, well cooked and plenty of it!
All the staff we dealt with were great and included Alba, Ewan and plenty of other people who made the day go perfectly.
The balcony shuts at 22:00 which meant smokers need to go out onto the street which could mean you could lose a few guests to the nightlife outside 😂😂.
The bar staff were quick and efficient and from what I had seen didn’t ever have a really long queue. There could be more drinks options in our opinion and weren’t able to supply Diet Coke - only Pepsi brand even though we were willing to pay extra for this.
My bridal party and myself stayed the night before the wedding at the Doubletree which is the hotel connected to the Skybar. The rooms were lovely, clean and my room (314) was very spacious and perfect size for us all to get dressed! Myself and my husband stayed in the honeymoon suite the night of the wedding (405) which was a beautiful suite with fab views. If you’re wanting a stress free wedding in the center of Edinburgh you should definitely consider the Skybar!

Couldn’t be happier with how beautifully everything was taken care of! Kimberly was so helpful with my million questions and Euan set everything up perfectly and kept the day running smoothly. It was a fantastic day full of love and laughter!

We had to pull our wedding forward so had less than 12 weeks from booking our wedding to walking down the aisle at Skybar. From the minute we enquired about booking staff were supportive and couldn’t do enough for us. On the day of the wedding it was totally faultless, staff were so attentive to us all, meeting all of the needs of the guests and wedding party. I cannot put into words how much I would recommend that people would get married here, the day ran smoothly and both myself and husband couldn’t believe how it ran with no hiccups considering the short amount of time we had to plan. The food was delicious and were options for meeting dietary requirements which were very enjoyable too. The venue in itself is decorated tastefully and with the view of the castle it sells itself. We got married on a rainy day in February- a classic Edinburgh day and even although, the venue still looked stunning. The option is there to use their centre pieces which is great as it’s one less thing to worry about, the staff set the venue up beautifully and swiftly in between ceremony, meal and evening. If I have to say one thing that stood out for us the most is the staff, they played a huge part in our wedding and deserve the recognition for the job they do! If we could do it all over again we wouldn’t change anything about the day!

My son got married here, he picked it for the views of the castle. Kimberley was great when we enquired about the venue, she was always willing to answer our many questions throughout and up until the big day The day was stunning, everything was so well organised, the set up was fantastic, the food (we had a BBQ) was amazing, everything we hoped for. The staff throughout the day were very accommodating, cannot fault anything about the day, everybody had a great time.

Literally the best day ever !!

Kimberly and the entire staff were absolutely amazing. We had a uniquely stressful situation, with planning the wedding abroad, and waiting for a visa to arrive last minute. They were so understanding, and helpful through the whole process. Kimberly worked with the vendors, and made sure everything went smoothly. We did not have to worry about anything on the wedding day, as they had everything handled, and were able to truly enjoy the day. Everything turned out better than we could have ever imagined. It was the perfect day, with the most beautiful view, and we are so thankful.

Our wedding was everything we would have wanted and more! Strangely nothing went wrong! (Apart from the fire alarm going off a few hours before the ceremony) - which the staff were incredible with! Kept me well hidden from my other half to prevent him from seeing me before!

Nothing was ever too much trouble, the set up was stunning, the team worked tirelessly to ensure everything was exactly how I wanted it.

Kimberly went above and beyond helping to organise from the moment we booked the venue, responding to emails at all hours (sorry Kimberly! I had so many questions).

The venue is absolutely beautiful, guests have not stopped talking about the day! Many have said it was the best wedding they’ve been to which is such an amazing compliment to get! The mood was just “feel good and feel relaxed” the whole day! No stress or fuss for guests to deal with which I loved!

Thank you to everyone at the hotel, suppliers, chefs (which btw! The food was exquisite! Cannot fault it one bit and neither could anyone else!! The lamb main is EVERYTHING!!!), Kimberly and her team, Ewan - you have been incredible, assisting with anything and everything, making the day extra special!

I could not recommend this venue more! Please do take a look at it if you are debating where to hold your special day!

Where to start! From Day One Bethany, our Wedding planner and co-ordinator and the team were first class. The team went that extra mile with everything. As we were planning a wedding from a distance this could have been really stressful but Bethany was super efficient and got back to us promptly with any queries and confirmed everything in emails and when we met up when in Edinburgh during our visits. She was also there all day and night on the wedding day making sure everything was exactly as discussed and ran smoothly. When we saw the venue for the first time it took our breath away and it was a no brainer that this is where we would get married. We were given a blank canvas so everything was tailored to exactly what we wanted which made it so personal and the team worked with us regarding everything and even made things happen which we thought wouldn't be possible! Most of our guests stayed in the hotel and were treated extremely well and the rooms were lovely with great facilities. All staff were friendly, accommodating and attentive and the whole experience was very positive. This is a top wedding destination and we couldn't recommend it more highly.
