We got married at the stone trough in September and it was absolutely perfect. The day went so smoothly from start to finish and the venue is in set in absolutely stunning surroundings so the photos turned out amazing. Staff were fantastic and professional, the food that was provided went down so well with all our guests and drinks were kept flowing all day long. Highly reccomend this venue for a relaxed and intimate wedding, best day of our lives!

Middletons Hotel was quick to respond to all our questions and very helpful staff. Beautiful venue indeed.

Charlotte and the Clayfield Farm team were absolutely amazing to work with! We had a great day shooting at the venue – it’s stunning. Charlotte was so helpful and made everything super easy for us. She went out of her way to make sure we had everything we needed. We’d definitely recommend Clayfield Farm to other couples and would love to work with Charlotte again. Thanks again for everything!

The Malmaison was the perfect venue for us! We wanted city chic vibes, minimalistic yet classy and the venue was everything we dreamed and more. The communication from the events team was 10/10 and we had 100% control in how we wanted our day to go. Everything ran so smoothly due to the team being so involved and the tiny details I hadn't even thought of, the venue had covered! (like a water station). Nothing was too much trouble and the staff on the day were immaculate. Every guest commented on the quality of the food and it was AMAZING! Everything cooked to perfection and the service was so on point with timings, no one had an empty place setting or glass all day. The only negative (and its not a huge thing at all), but the B&B rate for the rooms didn't include a cooked breakfast on room service. Which after the busiest and most perfect day, all we wanted was a bacon sarnie! However on the plus side, the continental brekkie is huge and more than satisfying! We would definitely recommend the Malmaison as a venue!

We cannot thank Sophie and her family/team enough for helping us have one of the very best days of our lives. When looking at wedding venues, we took this very seriously and saw 15(!) venues in/around York in three days. Barmbyfield stood out to us right away for how naturally beautiful the venue was and how incredibly welcoming Sophie was. She made us feel very comfortable when we were looking around and she was so openminded to all of our ideas - she made us feel important and that we were her focus. Throughout the process Sophie was responsive to all of our (many) emails and made sure we fully understood everything that was going to happen. We felt secure that she was switched on to everything we wanted and knew how to help give us our special day. The whole Barmbyfield team really cared about us and made sure our guests had a wonderful time - even shedding a quick tear during the ceremony! The venue itself is absolutely stunning for a wedding and the time you have for setup we found essential. Having two days before your wedding to make sure everything is just right is not something you realise how important it is until you need it! We were able to go to drinks with family and friends on the Friday night knowing everything was already exactly how we wanted it. Anything else that needed setting up on the day, Sophie was on hand to help and made things so straightforward. She took care of the music for the ceremony and guided us through the whole day. It was excellent to have so many distinct spaces throughout the day: the ceremony room which was beautiful and transformed into an evening room, the main barn which was so pretty and well set up for all our guests, the outside barn to cool down and have relaxed conversations, the bar which our guests particularly enjoyed and a chill out space upstairs. This venue has everything you need to design a day that suits you in exactly the ways you want it. We would also recommend to anyone to book to stay in the house attached to the venue, which is lovely. While it was fantastic that my wife got to have some time with her bridesmaids the night before, it was invaluable for running round the venue on the Sunday morning gathering up our keepsakes.

We got married at the Normans 6th April 2024 and it honestly couldn’t have been better. The communication in the run up to the wedding was brilliant, being able to go to the venue at 12 to set up the day before was also a great experience, Oliver and Sharon were able to offer amazing reassurance for any questions. Also, Dave was on hand for any practical issues too which we really appreciated. This allowed us both just to enjoy getting ready in the morning, so stress of worrying about putting signs out/placing bud vases etc. The day itself was perfect, the setting is stunning! The day ran smoothly and we just had the best day. Everything was perfect for us; thank you team Norman’s!

Obviously your wedding day is supposed to be the best day of your life but Sheriff Hutton Castle feels so special that it is impossible for it not to be! The castle itself is stunning and the sounding hall with fairy lights and candles feels magical. If you want to impress your guests with no effort at all, the castle is what you want! We only had our ceremony there and used the accommodation for ourselves and our wedding party. We loved our stay and all of the accommodation is unique which really adds to the venue. Natasia and Pat are so welcoming and easy going which is what you need on your wedding day! We always got a really quick response and nothing was too much trouble.

Many brides say how stressful organising a wedding is. Not with the guidehall! Nadia and her team took care of everything, even dressing the tables. An absolutely stunning venue

We honestly had the most amazing day. Walking into the event space was better than I imagined in my head. I was so impressed with the way the team used our items and created something amazing - and had such great judgement to not use it all, just what seemed right. The food was outstanding (even if I couldn't eat most of it due to a tight fitting dress!), the atmosphere, the wonderful and funny bar staff, the welcome, the drinks, the staff bigging me up when I was having photos on the stairs. From the start of it all; booking the Du Vin, to the end result, it felt relaxed and flawless, you always made me feel like everything was under control and I can't thank you enough. Outstanding!

We chose Hornington Manor for our wedding at the end of April this year, and honestly could not have been happier. We literally had the best day ever, and everything went so well! The venue is gorgeous, the grounds fantastic, so many compliments about the manor house and the bedrooms etc. And of course, all the staff are super friendly and attentive. We'd absolutely recommend it to anyone for their wedding or special event!
