Both myself and my Husband agree that Aldwark Manor was the right choice for our wedding ceremony and venue. We went for the All Exclusive package which was worth every penny. As part of the package we opted for fireworks which were sensational and made our day so special. The staff at Aldwark are all so friendly and professional, and you are made to feel welcome from the moment you arrive. Our Wedding co-ordinator Kim was amazing too, keeping in regular contact and making sure everything was sorted so that on the day the wedding went smoothly and stress free. The day we got married was one of the hottest days of the year and there was a really bad downpour in the morning but this didn't spoil the day. The food was exceptional and there was some lovely options to choose from for the wedding meal. The hog roast in the evening also went down very well! In addition we hired our own magician (the Yorkshire magician) and also the magic selfie mirror hosted by mimi events which oyr guests loved! We had a fantastic wedding and so did our guests and we would wholeheartedly recommend Aldwark Manor not just as a wedding venue but also as a very relaxing and enjoyable place to stay.

We can’t fault the Parsonage for helping our dream wedding day come to live from start to finish! We were instantly made to feel at home on our initial visit, and Louise was absolutely fantastic, answering all our questions (no matter how trivial!) and showing us everything we needed to see (including the bridal suite!). We made our decision there and then to book for our day! The team were so helpful and flexible with our requests, including extras to make our day even more special, like staying in the bridal suite complimentary the night before, allowing us extra food options and even letting us tailor the drinks package to suit all our guests! Communication was fantastic, especially for an overly anxious bride like myself! They were always on hand to answer queries, make changes to bookings and also to help with vendors/other enquiries! We had multiple meetings to finalise our day and options, and each time we were made to feel special, offered refreshments, allowed time to discuss options and make changes if needed. The day itself could not have run smoother! The venue was prepped to such a high standard, the team constantly came to check in on myself and my groom to make sure we had everything we needed to make the mornings run smooth! Louise did an amazing job during the ceremony with timings and keeping everyone relaxed, and they were amazing during the wedding breakfast keeping food/drinks flowing and ensuring a smooth transition from ceremony to breakfast. The staff moved all our decorations for us from one room to another so seamlessly and made everything look incredible without input! The DJ was phenomenal! We put together a playlist and he worked with that, adding his own twist, we couldn’t get people off the dance floor! He even extended out set by half an hour at the end because people were having so much fun! The next morning we came down to find all our decorations/extras packed away really neatly ready for us to take home, meaning we didn’t have to worry about doing it ourselves! They even set aside a section of he breakfast room so all the guests could eat together the following morning without feeling rushed. As a result of all their hard work, our day went even better than we could ever imagine, and we are still getting compliments from our guests at how amazing g the day was and the staff were! We cannot recommend the parsonage highly enough!! Thank you so much!

We recently celebrated our wedding at the hotel and it was an absolute dream true! The staff were amazing especially Steve who was there to look after us on the day and Emily the wedding coordinator in the build up to the big day. Our guests are still raving about the delicious food and the magical Oak Room. Thanks so much for making our day perfect!

We were looking for a venue that had it all in one decent priced package and the Marriott was the perfect answer. The outdoor ceremony adds such a magic touch to the day, and the surrounding gardens are absolutely perfect for pictures. The indoor reception room is so bright and airy, perfect for eating and dancing the night away. Jeanette and the team were perfect throughout the whole day, and the wedding wouldn’t have been possible without Amber and Imogen as well. It was truly perfect day and we couldn’t have asked for a better venue!

Rob and the team at the Merchant Adventurers' Hall made sure we had a fantastic day for our wedding in October 2025. They were all incredibly helpful, nothing was too much trouble, and they were extremely flexible and good-humoured dealing with our requests. We had one of the best days of our lives, and would definitely recommend this venue for a wedding or other big event!

Me and my partner got married at the Stone Trough Inn on Nov 8th and I cant recommend the venue enough. From day 1 to the big day, Phillipa and her staff couldnt do enough for us. We had multiple meeting at the Stone Trough to discuss any issues we had and all our queries were always met with positivity and solutions. The location of the venue was perfect for the intimate wedding we wanted. It is a beautiful countryside venue to match the views surrounding it. The big days itself couldnt have gone any smoother and thats all down to the great work of Phillipa and her team. They completely decorated the entire venue in the morning with the decorations we provided allowing myself and my partner to enjoy our mornings apart and prepare for the day ahead. (The execution of the decorations was perfection). The Wedding breakfast and food for the evening was incredible. Even though our wedding was a few months ago now we still get family and friends labelling it as 'the best wedding food they have had'. The staff on the day were more than accommodating, they genuinely felt like part of the celebrations and by the end of the night ended up knowing most of the guests by there first name which set a really nice vibe. Phillipa and her team constantly checked in on me and my now wife to make sure we were having the best day possible and didn't need anything. The Stone Trough has become more than a wedding venue for us. Due to amazing experience we had, we now see the Stone Trough Inn as more of a tradition. A place we look forward to visiting many more more times in the future. The Venue, staff and food were 10/10. Can't recommend enough.

Inrecently visited the hospitium to photograph a friends wedding and was completely taken aback at how amazing the place is. The staff are super switched on and was an absolute pleasure getting to work with them! Hope to be back again soon! www.andrewcockerill.com/blog
